I am a healthcare worker who began…read moreexperiencing Work related Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, I came here to begin coping with it on behalf of the EAP program. I started working with a therapist that specialized in trauma therapy. About two months into treatment this therapist decides to leave and seek employment elsewhere. My case was then assigned to a therapist who specialized in cognitive behavioral therapy about a week later I was transferred to a therapist who turned out to be a child specialist. I figured sure go ahead and try out this specialist. I was already going in with a sense of abandonment to add to my existing condition. About half a year with this specialist and the therapist begins to get snarky with me. I hit my breaking point last month when my therapist did not respect my boundary when I asked to switch to a different topic it was met with the response "well we don't have to do therapy today. We can just cancel if you'd like." During our active session. This was the final strike. Not only was I just passed around the office twice but, now I'm being disrespected by possibly the last person I'd ever think would do such a thing. I abruptly canceled any future sessions with this therapist and I am actively going back to better help.

My son (age 5) and I have been going to Essentially You Counseling & Wellness for 6 months now…read more Our goals are centered around behavior therapy and improving social-emotional regulation. Unfortunately, we have been through 4 social workers/counselors in only the last few years: 2 through Early Intervention and 2 in private practice. One thing that I was specifically looking for were strategies and resources to help support me and my child. Emily Reed has been great with providing these! It has been helpful to have her perspective and the resources. Her schedule has also worked with ours. Anyone looking for therapies understands that there are often long wait lists, and evening hours are tough to come by. We were lucky to get in with Emily and to secure an evening spot that worked in our schedule. Emily is a great communicator: she has been super quick to respond via their Spruce app/portal and via email. She has also been great in reaching out to my child's school social worker at my request, and was persistent in doing so when there was an upcoming meeting to discuss the very concerns that we see Emily for. I appreciate her due diligence. They also offer teletherapy services. I have seen Kati a handful of times myself. Because of family and work logistics, the only possibility was teletherapy. Kati worked with me to find a time that worked in my busy schedule. In all, going to Essentially You Counseling has been an overwhelmingly positive experience thus far, and they earn my recommendation!

I gave all my symptoms and concerns and she referred me to a mindfulness coach & they refused to see me; saying they don't think they can help. I'm pretty sure a mindfulness coach isn't going to cure me of hormone imbalance, potential mold toxicity, potential parasites, gut imbalances, allergens, etc. I need testing done for those things. They refused to see me, because I told her my psychological symptoms in relation to my physical symptoms! When the body is chronically inflamed there are going to be psychological symptoms ‍ Lesa said that psych problems can cause physical health problems.....obviously?!! & while this is true in certain cases (mental illness can rear it's ugly head in many ways, IBS, Chronic nausea, dry mouth, even infertility and so on); this is not my case. I know my body. She said that many of their clients treated their brain first and didn't end up needing the testing. I'm not sure how seeing a mindfulness coach can starve parasites, cure celiac, treat mold poisoning and maybe even reverse cancer. But ok! I could have just gone back to a western doctor to be told this considering I, along with everyone else I know have been gaslit our entire lives by them. It's ironic that that they talk about exactly this on their website... She was so misinformed; on top of this whole process costing thousands and thousands of dollars. I wish I checked the Yelp reviews before wasting my time on a phone consultation. Wtf is this business for?? Weight loss??

The…read morefirst one has injected botox and fillers into my aging face and the second has removed a plantar wart from my foot. It is a super difficult office to find on the first visit. The office is in the Town Square outdoor mall located upstairs from Egg'lectic Cafe. I was so cranky on my first search for that location. But, since then, I haven't had to wait longer than 5 minutes, for any appointment. No one likes to be late for work due to a long waiting room experience. I have "fired" doctors before for making me wait. Back to the services... I was 54 and had never had any cosmetic work done, so I was nervous. My primary care physician recommended Dr. Herrmann based on personal knowledge. My first appointment was an evaluation in which I was clear, "Don't make me look like I have on a mask; just make the wrinkles a little softer." Dr. Herrmann listened and advised. I returned for a few injections (filler and botox) to correct my hatred of excessive upper lip lines and deep frown lines between the eyes (he injected a little numbing agent first). The doctor also treated for a downturned mouth and thinning lips. The follow-up appointment was a little more botox between the eyes and over upper lip. Since then, I had one 5-month visit for botox. I added a before/after pic, because I wanted pics when I was so afraid of injections. And, I am not ashamed of getting real about aging. I find Dr. Herrmann and his staff to be good listeners, professional in their approach, friendly, and excellent communicators. Bridget has had to treat my foot 4 times (or 5). She is punctual, friendly, helpful, tries to be painless, informative, and pleasant. I look forward to her smiling face and direct approach to treatment.
