I had originally taken my son to another allergist in a different practice, but after I was not…read moregiven explanations regarding my child's issues(for months), I decided it was time to find a new doctor and I happened to find Dr. Schneider at Allergies Answered. Thank God that I did!!!!! Dr. Schneider was very aggressive and proactive with my child's care. He worked with us by: taking his time with us, answering all of our questions, listening attentively to the issues our child was having, working with us on trying different medications until we found the best fit for our child, simply believing us when we said "this is what our child is doing/having and it doesn't seem right", communicating with us on nights and weekends and even just checking in on our child to see how things were going, he ran test that my child greatly needed (which led to us finding answers we desperately needed), he played a massive part in saving our child's hearing by performing same-day testing and immediately got us to a doctor that did surgery on our child's ears right away (this has played a large part in our child's improved development) and we could say so much more. By reassuring us that as scary and frustrating as things were in the beginning and by looking at the big picture as well as by taking it one step at a time, things would eventually get better. He was completely right! Now our child has a wonderful quality of life and can enjoy things that other kids had been enjoying, like the simple act of comfortably breathing or being able to play because for once sickness wasn't an everyday thing. There is something to be said for a person like Dr. Schneider. It's one thing to be a doctor and treat the body and yet another to treat the emotional aspect of sickness, both for the patient and the family. He has done both. For once, our child is happy and we aren't living in fear feeling like something terrible was going to happen with our child as any moment. He is kind, great with children(so is the staff. They are A++) He gave us our lives back. For that, me and my family are and forever will be grateful beyond words. I hope this review helps anyone going through the tough task of finding the PERFECT doctor. Don't look any further because Dr. Schneider is it! His staff is very kind as well! You always know that they care and are so friendly!

Honestly, I've heard wonderful things about Dr, Q'ureshi but it's hard to write nice things about a…read morephysician who denied your chance to meet with her because you didn't have a "hard" insurance card (it's a bit absurd). So I was referred to Dr. Q'ureshi's office by a trusted advisor who knew I hated Ochsner (as someone who worked in a medical office for 6 years in billing you think I would know a thing or two about how they're run, right?). So I scheduled an appointment with her, and was delighted when she could fit me in as a new patient in less than a week.... At the time of appointment I was told to bring "my insurance card," okay, no big deal, I figured it was like any other doctors offices. So I filled out the patient questionnaire ahead of time got the printed copy of my insurance that United gave me and drove the 20 minutes to the office... The woman took one look at the paper and said, "I hope you won't be mad if we have to reschedule you, but we can't take those papers as of January 1." DA FUQ?! So I told her I worked in insurance and asked her to re-check. She goes away for 5 minutes and says "Oh I'm sorry but we still can't take those." After informing her it was the only paper they gave me, she apologized again and said she couldn't do anything, but call you United and maybe they could help me. So I went outside and sat in the parking lot on hold waiting for United. There was no point waiting for a doctors office and using work sick time if I couldn't even see the doctor so I left. 5 minutes from work I was finally patched through to a United rep who told me it was absurd the office required it, and that the paper I had was enough to see that physician, but she would laminate one of the exact same cards I had and mail that to me to see if it was any better. So I called the allergist back and told them United told me what I gave them was acceptable and the receptionist told me if I turned back they would try to squeeze me in today, SERIOUSLY?! I had already wasted an hour driving there, dealing with them, trying to handle United in the parking lot and driving back and the receptionist wanted me to drive BACK out there to try to "squeeze me in?!" NO. I know you're worried about insurance fraud and all, but I had drivers license, military ID, AND social security number. If you were THAT concerned you could have done what every other MD does and check drivers license or another form of insurance. The doctor is probably WONDERFUL, but it's not worth jumping through that many hoops, just to see her for 10-20 minutes. Maybe be a little more clear you require a hard insurance card (like those aren't easy to fake, too? Just laminate a piece of paper? Try drivers licenses, they're more effective).

Brought my child there a few backs and Dr. Rolston was fantastic, patient and explained things…read morewell. Blood work was ordered. A week later we got the results through online patient portal but obviously needed help in understanding them. Called the office to go over them and whomever answered said they did not have the results. After saying we had them, they did a search and found them. Was told someone would call back. That was mid week. Called back on Friday and left a message for a nurse or the MD to call us back. No call on Monday. Called again Tuesday and after a few transfers and waiting finally a nurse came on but was unable to explain much to my wife who was very frustrated by this time. She asked me to call. I called Tuesday late morning and asked to speak with a nurse. Someone gets on the phone and I explain I wanted to go over some test results and listed out my initial 3-4 questions and she responded that she is just taking messages for the nursing staff. I left a message and was told someone would call me back. No call back the rest of Tuesday. No call back all of Wednesday. No call Thursday and I call again just before 11:00. I was transferred and when the lady picked up and I clarified if she was a nurse or not and she said she is helping them by taking messages. I said well no one has returned my message from two days ago. And left a message again. My daughter has an auto immune illness and her resistance levels have dropped. We have no had the numbers explained, no sense of urgency or concern whatsoever for a child that nearly died a few years ago because or immune compromised issues. I am in the medical field and understand how busy it can be not just with patients but with paperwork and ringing phones. However, not returning a call is not an option and the customer service is subpar. Dr. Rolston was great but the ancillary and support staff that handle messages and getting the info that patients and their families need is subpar. That is about as nice as I can put it. Completely dissatisfied and a three year relationship is about to be terminated. We are already looking to schedule elsewhere and actually have a few family members that go here that are about to do the same.

The clinic is nice. The place has a warm atmosphere. Lots of interesting art and some comfortable places to sit. Much better than the doctor's offices that feel like airport terminals. Dr. Mehta was great. I like a few things from my doctors...smart, good communicators and normal human beings. Something along those lines. Dr. Mehta was personable, efficient and (no surprise) knows a lot about allergies. She laid out plenty of options to tackle my allergies. She had suggestions from basic lifestyle stuff to medications to allergy shots. After that discussion, she talked with me about what would be a good fit for my personality and schedule. Few other things I liked about Dr. Mehta's shop. First, it was easy to get an appointment. I called their office and a person actually answered the phone and scheduled me. I half expected to be on hold for 10 minutes. Second thing, she has good hours. I mean that Uptown Allergy is open more than just two days a week. Not sure but Dr. Mehta might also do some extended hours on certain days. Third, they have parking. I know I already mentioned that, but it's worth revisting. Long story short, Uptown Allergy and Dr. Mehta are awesome.
