Quick trip w grandkids we stayed in cabin by the pool. Check in easy n fast employees very friendly. Awesome store w lots of neccessary items. Pool was nice only 3 tables w shade for babies glad stroller had a canopy. only steps to get to the pool so had to manuever stroller down n up like 6 big concrete steps. We will stay again it was a peaceful lil campground.

Panoramic of the site, stream, trees etc. very campground-esque.

My family brought our pop up camper here mid September. We checked in with some indifferent employees in the shop, and a guy on a golf cart escorted us directly to the site. It was a good size site, situated directly next to a small stream. Very scenic and good tree cover/shade throughout most of the grounds. Saturday throughout the day there were little events at the rec center - donuts and coffee at 10am, an ice cream social at 3pm - all of which were complimentary. The facilities, restrooms and grounds were as you would expect from a KOA campground - kept up, but maybe they could put a little extra in toward it. We had a good time over the weekend. We also made the hiking trail circuit - be ready for a steep hike! It takes about 30-40 minutes to complete, or at least it did for me. Very scenic forested path and at the end a cool tree fort and some views of the surrounding farms. Possibly could have had a four star rating, however I have to agree with some other Yelpers that the alcohol free rule was a bit perplexing. Although I absolutely certain many of the campers were indeed drinking alcohol. Also later into Friday and Saturday night, there was pretty good amount of noise, yelling etc. from people hanging out around their fires... I'm talking like 12:30am. Hot the end of the world, but would be nice if somebody drove around and kept an eye on that. Decent place. Give it a try for yourself.

Rented a cabin for three nights. The cabin was cute. But filthy. I understand it's camping and a cabin but the floors Should be cleaned at some point. There was only one ac in the two room cabin which kept it bareable. The store and arcade closes a few hours each day which was kind of a letdown. Overall the grounds were very mushy I guess because they are in and around a creek? The pool was nice, bathrooms ok. Once we got there realized there is no alcohol allowed which I think is absurd. I enjoy a beer by the campfire at the end of the day but couldn't do that here? When you walk out of the bathroom you almost trip on the cigarette posts where you can smoke. The worker was there one day smoking up a storm. So myself and daughter had to walk through a cloud of smoke to get out the door. Smoke all You want and disturb non smokers but don't drink a beer on your campsite. We ended up checking out a day early because I was sick of having black feet and socks from the floor of the cabin.

Very quiet and wooded. We backed up to a calm stream which doubled in size overnight after a thunderstorm. We loved it.

We didn't have the most private site, but moderate tree cover and the creek bubbling past were very nice.

For 2 of us, paid $30 total for one night for a tent site (tent sites are in the strip of land across the road from the main office). The tent site was much better than I thought. 1. only 3 parties there in a very large area reserved for tent only camping, we were very spread out and it was pretty peaceful 2. camp site right next to a beautiful creek! 3. had electric outlets and tap faucet right next to the tent site. We didn't bring anything that could be plugged into an outlet but thinking in the future I could be sitting in a hammock and watching a movie on my laptop while being charged 4. camp site didn't have a fire pit or an obvious hole in the ground where you make your fire safely but we were out climbing very late and too tired to make a fire anyways when we got back. Lots of fallen branches you can collect to make a fire. The other 2 parties had built fires, didn't see how they did it. 5. the shower house closest to the main offices had large showers which were in decent level of cleanliness, paper towels kept running out though so bring your own Overall, very happy with this campground and will definitely come back in the future! A couple of things I noticed (1) the area where RV's are parked looked pretty crowded and also loud (2) I don't think I saw anyone else wearing masks around the campground, even when a lot of people were going in and out of the office. The 2 of us may be the only ones wearing masks there, when going into the office and using the bathroom

Since then there have been a lot of changes under the management of the new owners!!! The new owners have done a terrific job updating and cleaning up the property in just a short 6 months. They have remodeled cabins, painted the bath houses and pavilions, reinforced and painted the playground and fixed the roads that lead to each of the 3 levels of the grounds. That's just the beginning of what they have in store for upcoming seasons. It has been so much fun meeting new people who have been so kind and friendly!! We've had numerous gatherings at the main pavilion with live music, food, games and hay rides!!! 4th of July weekend they put on a fireworks display and at Halloween a Trunk or Treat for the kids!!! I love our new campground family!!!

The campground is spotless, which is something we really appreciate. The arcade was a huge hit, especially when we wanted a break from the heat, and the snack shack was perfect for grabbing a quick bite without having to leave the campground. There was always something to do, but it never felt crowded or chaotic. What stood out most was how comfortable and enjoyable the entire experience was. The main building consists of the camp office and store, laundry and bathhouse facilities. The large swimming pool and community area/fire pit were adjacent. The sites are very spacious and not on top of your neighbor! SB probably has the most space between sites in most of the campgrounds we have visited. In addition to being spacious, the sites were very level, with good water pressure, and consistent power. Our site was gravel, but there are quite a few with concrete pads. The recreation amenities include a playground, basketball courts, gaga ball and swimming pool. The pool is large and appropriately sized for the size of the resort. We loved how there is a sitting ledge along the outside of the whole pool. Regular activities are scheduled for guests throughout the season. It was the yearly cornhole tournament on our weekend, which was well organized. French fries and fresh corn on the cob were free to all guests during the afternoon of the tournament (both delicious). The staff were all very friendly and helpful! The Manager was always visible not only at the facilities, but regularly driving around the resort checking on things, delivery wood, etc. He would always go out of his way to help a guest. The only minor negative of our stay was the poor WIFI strength. WIFI was good at the main building/pool, but non-existent farther out in the campground. Stony Brook is an amazing RV Resort which we plan to include on our regular rotation of places to camp! Highly Recommend.

All I can say is I've been camping my whole life (49yrs) and have never been to a campground this nice. Small stocked pond to fish, very clean and well kept place, clean good tasting water, showers are equally as nice as the MGM penthouse suite or the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas, they have a swimming pool, outdoor kitchen where on holidays and events they cook for the campers, laundry area, then there are the upgraded mini deck sites that come with Adirondack chairs, all sites come with water and electric (probably sewer hook up too but we didn't talk about that). If I didn't own land up here to boondock on, I'd stay here in a heartbeat. You should give it a try!
