The doctor's put me on a restritive diet and food services always tried to help. I will always try to stay at St. Vincent's Rehabilation Center if need be however they are limited in space's since the unit only has 24 beds. Most employees have been at this facility for many years and are very happy with their employment!

Today something happened that I just can't ignore. Two weeks ago, the office began adjusting her blood pressure and heart medication. She has been feeling terrible since then and has called the office twice, which is what they asked her to do because of the side effects possible for the new meds, to tell them how she's been feeling. They have completely ignored her. She has been dizzy, disoriented, nauseated, light headed, and generally ill since she started the medicine, and they don't care at all. Today my sisters and I begged them to see her, and they were absolutely without compassion. We offered to come first thing in the morning and just wait however long we needed to for them to see her. They flatly refused. I hope one day in the future every single person associated with the practice finds themselves going on 80 years old, alone, afraid and confused, and I hope they call their doctors for help and are treated JUST LIKE THIS. I want them to understand exactly what it's like to feel desperate for help and be treated without even a modicum of sympathy, concern, or compassion. I want them to know on a personal, visceral level just what kind of monsters they were. I hope it only happens to them once, though, because I wouldn't wish this kind of callous disregard on even the most heinous person in the world more times than that. Unfortunately for my mother, it is a reality of her care thanks to the sociopaths who staff this practice. The ONLY reason we haven't changed doctors is that the person who comes from Nashville every three months to do cortisone shots in her back is very good at doing them and is able to relieve her pain without trauma.
