Dr. Allen Lee retired. I just found this out after I moved back from Texas. Dr. Ling Lu bought his practice (I guess...I don't know how doctors work). Anyway, she's great! I got my gf to switch over to her from her current PCP. And my gf is happy with her. 1) No wait time 2) You ONLY see Dr. Lu and not some medical assistant 3) They don't rush you in and out as if you were cattle trying to you milk you and your insurance for money 4) She totally devotes her time to you. She'll answer all of your questions and concerns. At first, I was skeptical because I thought she was too young and inexperienced. She proved me wrong. She actually gives a shit whether or not you want to hear it. 5) Co-pay. When my gf asked if she had a co-pay, the receptionist told her no. My gf's former PCP required her to pay a $10 co-pay. read more

Dr. Lee is an attentive and thorough doctor with a congenial personality. While you waits may be a bit long at times, he will always see you in an emergency, and has flexible hours that accomodate most schedules. The only reason why I left him, was that I moved out of the area. read more

I was SUPER sick when I went to see Dr. Lee. I was SO thankful that he was willing to see me same day (nothing short of a miracle in this city). However thats where the praise ends. (1) The man working the phones/front desk was a barely tolerable human being. He was not friendly. (2) Dr. Lee actually traded stocks over the phone while I was sitting in the room waiting to be examined. (3) THEN I just received a bill for laboratory tests that were definitely NOT necessary!!!! 306.00$ dollars later!!!! I am a medical student and have worked in 3 different labs, I KNOW what is a necessary test and what is not. This is unreasonable. (Who needs a NON fasting cholesterol test for 121 dollars???) SO its your call if you want to risk the nasty front counter guy, the possbility of unnecessary (and probably not covered by insurance) tests.. by ALL means.. I WON'T be filling up your appointment slot. read more

Once upon a time, this was a great practice. As stated in most of the reviews, the male assistant at the front desk is barely tolerable as he does not know how to appropriately behave with patients. Everything does seem like one is putting him out of his way (to do his job). Unfortunately, Dr. Lee himself has acted inappropriately at times (the last-too-long hugs are awkward) and overall he seems very unhappy in his practice. A good office visit depends entirely on his mood, which is a shame. The decline in quality of care is substantial. It truly is sad to see what was once a good practice diminish so much. read more

I love Dr.lee he has great knowledge about a lot of aspects of medicine and is very connected with what ever specialist you need .I have been his patient since 1988. You will learn so much about things about your self when you are and do need him .You never feel rushed . Update Dr.lee Retired and the new Person is Dr Lou . Allen Lee is professional - but most of all attentive, thorough - with tests that really offer a fundamental picture of your health. And, he does those tests explaining to you what they are for, etc the whole time. He also shares information with you that he got from the many conferences and symposiums he attends - which can be fascinating. He realigned my diet recently by sharing a guideline sheet he brought back with him. As for the criticism of "the man working the front desk", you often get what you project. I have never had a problem. I find him helpful, amiable and to the point with a smile. Anyway, I trust and like this doctor and his practice. read more

I didn't even make it to the doctor. The assistant was obnoxiously rude and acted like I had ruined his day just by coming in for my appointment. On top of that, because of my hearing loss, he acted in a condescending manner and kept insisting that I needed someone to help me. The office is filthy and disorganized. Tried to pay with my card (and we know any good doctor's office will take it) and surprise, surprise... it was cash only. None of this was communicated to me on the phone. I felt uneasy the entire time so I thanked him and just left. Back to the drawing board! read more

I was really looking forward to seeing Dr, Lee, but when I called, his receptionist was totally inappropriate and rude. Like sighing dramatically into the phone while I was telling him about my insurance. Everything he said was short, snippy and unwelcoming. I ended up just telling the receptionist not to worry about booking me an appointment if it was such a big deal. I know this is not a reflection on the doctor himself, but it is a reflection on how his business is run. I hate my job just like 99% of other people, but I certainly don't take it out on my customers. I'm sick and in need of medical attention, why be an asshole to make my life that much worse? read more

I and my family had been seeing Dr. Lee for sooooooo many years. There are few caring and good Doctors left. He certainly was one. Now retired, he did train Dr.Lu. She was trained by the best therefore, we continue to go to that very same office for great care. Sad at times as we remember Dr. Lee however, the fish tank is still there and the same man is behind the desk doing the job of five people. He has a dry humor however, will be serious when one is not feeling well and do his best to get you seen. Not sure how he does it all....but he certainly does! Star Trek played on the TV during my last visit and was a comforting reminder of our Dr. Lee. Much like Dr. Lee, Dr. Lu listens, cares and is professional. My family will continue to go to Dr. Lu at the same location .......for many more years to come. read more

The only time I went to Lee's, they either lost my test results, or neglected to inform me that I was, in fact, sick. I found out about them 4 months later when the lab billed me directly. The lab has confirmed the doctor's office received the results electronically, so apparently the doctor's office was at fault. Due to their negligence, my (easily avoidable) condition worsened significantly over that time, and it took me extra 6 months to get better. I didn't want to file for malpractice, but I would strongly avoid this office. read more

I love him. LOVE HIM. He has been our family doctor since he started his practice. My Grandmother was actually one of his first patients and when she passed away 2 months ago at the age of 93, he was one of the first people at the wake. First, i have always been able to get an appointment. He is closed weekends and Thursdays, but he has office hours up until 10pm. I once called his cell, very sick, at 1130pm on a sunday night and i was in his office at 8am the next day. He is awesome like that. Sometimes (with an appt) i will be stuck waiting for an hour or more, but i dont mind at all. Dr. Lee spends as much time with you as you need. He has answered so many of my questions, some of which are highly ridiculous because i'm turning into a hypochondriac as i get older :) He has never rushed me out or given me side-eye (i once asked if a muscle spasm in my neck was being caused by a brain tumor. yup.) Paul is...Paul. I've read complaints about him. The thing is, that is his personality. He doesnt mean to come off as mean as he may sound. He is like the neighborhood grump that everyone just accepts. I can understand how new patients wouldnt get that and be put off by him. To me, he's just Paul. Dr. Lee does all blood tests in his office and he is great with needles, i hate them and he does it really quick so i barely feel it. (thats what she said) He also gives an EKG to all new patients and at all yearly physicals. (i cant tell you how many people he has helped by doing this, no other dr. i have ever been to does this). Cant say anything about pricing because that is specific to your insurance company. I have had a battery of tests performed by him and paid very little for it, so fees shouldnt really matter. I was there recently with some pretty severe pains, sure that something serious was wrong. He told me the diagnosis and i didnt believe it, it seemed too simple. And he was 100% right, as usual. I trust him, i am comfortable with him, I even have my husband now going to him. As long as he is around, he will be my doctor. read more

I wanted to like him. I tried hard. I patiently scheduled appointments, endured the front desk assault and paid cash for 2 years. The disorganization, paper only system, and awkward interactions have left me with lab results needing attention and new meds without follow up care, and a huge bill for blood tests I did not need. He has not called me to discuss results or order a new RX. I am finally leaving the crazy train. Sorry, Dr. Lee, I have never left a negative review, EVER. Your office staff, environment and level of care have been full of firsts for me. I won't be back. read more

Dr Lee is a gem. His quirky office makes me smile. When Dr Lee takes blood it doesn't hurt, and when I speak he listens. You couldn't ask much more from your family doctor. read more

I have seen Dr. Lee a few times over the years, and he seemed to be a good caring doctor; nonetheless, I have decided to seek a different doctor. I totally agree with Jennifer's review (below) that HIS STAFF is very RUDE, whether you are trying to make an appointment over the phone or as you arrive in the office. They talk to you like they are doing you a favor, and with a very demeaning attitude. The first time it happened, I tried to be understanding ["maybe they were having a bad day,"] but now I realize it is a pattern of behavior and the Doctor has not addressed it. read more
