Dr. Jackson is an architect who came up with a plan to save me from a wheelchair and paralysis. I have heard from my doctors that he is the doctor's doctor. My experience with him so far has been excellent. His surgery coordinator Wida is absolutely wonderful and gets the business of getting you surgery done. She is on point. He and his staff were incredible!!…read more I went to speak with him concerning sciatic nerve pain that after receiving 2 Cortizone shots ( from a pain specialist) to my lower spine area did almost NOTHING to improve my pain. all it took was one visit to Dr Brian Hwang's office for him to tell me the truth about what was necessary to remove this excruciating pain. I went to see Dr Brian on June 26 in the afternoon. That same day he and his staff put together a surgery date for me that was less than a week out! he told me that I did the right way by first going with the Cortizone shots (89% success) rate that weren't working. Upon seeing me in my ground zero level 10 Pain , his actions were swift in getting me an appointment for surgery six days later!! Now I am completely pain-free and I'm so happy for his professionalism and diligence in getting me that appointment as quick as he did. Kudos to Carla his receptionist for getting me the date so QUICKLY . I currently live in the state of Utah and came all the way back to Southern California just so I could have the surgery performed by Dr. HWANG. just wanted to give a big shout out to Dr Hwang and his staff for moving mountains for me!! She took the time to understand every detail of my situation and started a methodical process of elimination. While the process for expediting medications or orders could be quicker, everything else has been great. Dr. Choan is actually very nice, but let's be honest: I don't go to a neurologist to talk to a nice lady. I came here seeking professional help. She's late. She's always late, and I'm talking about a 40-minute to an hour wait time. Once again, after another follow-up visit, after waiting for 40 minutes, I just got up and left, refusing to pay the fee for not showing up to an appointment. Because she's late, dr Choan rushes through her current appointments ... because she is already late to the next one, and patients don't get enough attention. Judging by my own experience, I did not get the answers or the treatment that I came here for for. Her billing staff made a ton of errors too. I did not get any billing statements from the office directly. I got the bill straight from a collection agency instead, a few months later. After trying to find out what was going on, and after multiple promises that someone would call me back, of course no one ever did. After spending almost a month trying to figure it out, I eventually gave up, said "F it," and paid a couple hundred dollars to the collection agency just to avoid penalties to my credit because of this office's incompetency.
