I recently went to get my flat pierced this week and spent about 80 (including tip). I was extremely excited since I went with my friend and we were both just having a fun moment plus I've heard great things about Allegiance. My friend and I went back together and automatically noticed the cute piercings in the glass cases. We asked for prices and talked about the jewelry, we ended up just getting basic starter jewelry. I love my placement and she did a great job doing it. Although from the start she noticed we wanted gold jewelry even her stating I assume y'all are wanting gold. She gave my friend the blue baggies of available flat piercings and explained they are gold but look different in the bags. I saw a super cute dainty pink flat and that's what I ended up getting pierced with. The entire time I was under the impression I was receiving a gold piece of jewelry until today (two days later) when I and others have noticed the entire back is silver and the top is not actually gold it is just titanium anodized. I didn't even know what titanium anodized was until I reached out to the piercer Amelia/Wren on Instagram with my worries of this situation. We communicated about the entire situation which props to her for responding back to me although she wanted to additionally charge me for a new top since she wouldn't be able to change the post since my piercing is fresh. I'm disappointed since I was very communicative about what I was looking for from the start. Throughout the conversation she did not apologize once and didn't take any type of accountability. She did a great job of explaining the jewelry afterwards but did not share any of this information before receiving this piece. Came to get my daughter's ears looked at since they are one of the few shops who'd even pierce kids. We didn't get them here but I've had a good experience with Wrenn before and felt comfortable getting my daughter seen. There are no appointments for piercings or the likes, and so you simply walk in. Apparently if you get tattoos and then want a piercing after, they put you at the front of the line once you're done with the tattoo. So I had two other women placed randomly before my daughter when I assumed it was our turn. They keep piling people into the shop but the guy eventually asked a few people to step out, though it was still packed. When staff go out to vape/smoke they do it right in front of the door. Maybe move a little farther down? I noticed a couple tattoo artists walking around with their masks hanging off their ears, or tattooing customers with masks under their noses, and that's a little off putting. It took a whole hour to see Wrenn, and while I value and appreciate her checking my daughter, Allegiance won't be my go to piercing studio. I get it, tons of people like piercings and that stimulus dropped, but honestly the wait was ridiculous. The man said it's been wild all week, so why not do appointments? Especially if you only have one piercer, and when asked the wait, the reply is "uh it depends". read more

The girls working the front desk are pleasant and helpful, but the good experience stopped there for me. I tried the Peach Orchard location first but they didn't have any openings- if you go, go there. It was cleaner and more organized. I asked for Philip based off his work online, and he said they'd call me in a few hours. When I came in, Philip kept saying how overbooked he was and that he was rushed. He didn't want anything to do with me, like I was wasting his time. People have their own lives and struggles but it felt unnecessarily rude. He charged me $150 for two band around my forearm, and the lines are sloppy. There are parts not shaded in and one half is noticeably skinnier than the other. I know they can't be identical but it looks like I just went to town with a sharpie. My arm is also carved up- it's been over 3 months and it's still as raised and wrinkled as when I got it. Luckily the tattoo has a more emotional meaning to me, so the blatant imperfections are not gonna ruin my life. But if you're looking for clean lines and any type of friendliness, maybe try somewhere else. read more

I was at the Ridge Spring location near the Belair and Wheeler roads intersection. Eddy Codey took a concept piece I had drawn and created a magical and professional tattoo version of my art. I had some anxiety from a bad experience at a different studio but Eddy was reassuring, telling me I could have a rest or a break any time I needed it. He talked to me most of the time he was working which is nice for me because it's distracting. He answered all of my questions and did phenomenal job. The icing on the cake is he's a huge Harry Potter fan so when I'm ready for my Deathly Hallows symbol or anything magical or Harry Potter related I won't go to any other artist ;-) The receptionist was super sweet and chatted with me until Eddy was ready. Before I begin, I am not a usual review writer because I know people have bad day sometimes but this is so deserving. As soon as you walk in the door you are judged, me and my friends were looked up and down as if we were creatures from another planet. Not only are they judgmental but they don't hide it either, from laughing to making comments among themselves. My friend wanted a small tattoo that would have probably been finished in less than 20 minutes, and we waited for an hour and 30 minutes before we just decided to leave. Many walk-in's came in after us and they constantly skipped us over. For a tattoo shop I would expect a welcoming experience but it was nothing like that, I am honestly so glad we didn't get tattoos here because I knew I would have felt judged throughout the tattoo experience. I got a small tattoo and ended up in the ER less than 24 hours later with an acute bacterial infection. I have many tattoos so I know how mine heal. It was RED and abnormally SWOLLEN. I had to take antibiotics for an entire week. Once it healed it looks like a three year old did it. It was extremely busy and I could tell my "artist" was nervous. Don't go here. read more

I got a "Friday the 13th" tattoo done here and it is one of my favorite tattoo's I've ever gotten. YES I waited in line for over 4 hours, but that was to be expected and I was 100% prepared for the wait (aka I brought snacks and a portable phone charger). I didn't catch my artists name, but he was totally cool and understanding when the placement wasn't exactly where I wanted it and made sure it was perfect. My sister also got a tattoo and her artist was just the same. Everyone was so friendly for having been at work for over 12 hours. I've also gotten 2 previous tattoos done here by Phillip. I went in on 12/08/2016 and got my tragus on my left ear, my rook on my right ear as well as two cartilage piercings and my belly button pierced. Wren (I hope I spelled her name right) was the one who did all this and I'm so glad she was the one to do it! She was great and professional. She answered all my questions and was very kind. She put the prettiest studs on my ears and my belly button piercing looks beautiful and is healing as it should. I went to Allegiance as a walk in with my two cousins looking to get a small tattoo. I didn't have a great experience that day and ended up writing a lengthy review with a play-by-play of our visit. My biggest issue with the shop was the feeling that I wasn't a worthwhile customer. After posting, Phillip went through great effort to get in touch with me and tell me how much he regretted my experience and wanted to know how he could make it right. I'm bumping my review from one star to four due to Phillip seeming genuinely upset that I was upset and his willingness to remedy my unhappiness. The only thing I would recommend would be making an appointment if you want something specific or to just roll with the punches if you end up being a a walk-in on a busy day. read more

I moved to GA pretty recently and was recommended this shop by some coworkers. I went to Allegiance as a walk-in to get a small tattoo with my cousin. I walked in and was promptly ignored for a good five minutes while standing at the front desk. When the woman at the front finally looked up from her phone all she said was "what do y'all want?". A young guy, Hunter, at the front took the picture we emailed to the back and for about an hour we had this weird back and forth between him and the artist. When he finally came back to the front, the stencil we were shown looked nothing like what we wanted. The guy huffed and puffed and acted all put out that we weren't automatically satisfied with the first thing that came out. After about an hour of this weird back and forth, the artist, Phillip, came out and told us to come back. On the way back he stopped to talk to another artist about the helix tattoo trending on Pinterest and how dumb he thought it was. We awkwardly stood in the hallway behind him for about five minutes before he moved on. While he was setting up for the tattoos he continued the conversation with the same artist and didn't even look us in the eye or talk to us at all. When he finally started on my cousin, I decided that I wanted a smaller, much simpler tattoo. When it was my turn, he made a show of crumpling up my stencil and drawing my single letter that was no bigger than a postage stamp. After he finished he told us the prices then left, leaving us to hand our money to the folks at the front desk. Neither me nor my cousin are very happy with our tattoos and we certainly won't be returning. The shop was not welcoming at all. Staff did not greet us, look us in the eye, or make us feel like we were worthwhile customers. Their website says they welcome walk-ins, but if they're that gruff with them maybe they should make their policy appointment-only. This is the first tattoo shop I've been to where I did not directly talk to the artist who was doing my tattoo, I felt that was very unprofessional and resulted in a tattoo I am not happy with. read more

I heard about Kyle Holt through a friend who got work done by him and was very impressed with his work. Someone this talented i expected to wait a few months to get seen. Much to my surprise after emailing him with my idea, he promptly replied back and said to come in for a consult to trace my arm. At the consult we scheduled an appointment only a week away! I wanted to start a sleeve and with giving him a few things i wanted, I trusted Kyle with whatever he came up it. When I came in for my appointment, I was so amazed with the plan Kyle had for my arm. Only a few stencils and the rest was hand drawn directly on to my arm. I came back in 4 sessions and the result was absolutely amazing. I couldn't be more happy with my sleeve, it turned out better than I could have ever imagined! The lines are perfect, and the bright vivid colors are spectacular. I recently moved to TX, I'm very sad to leave this shop and Kyle behind, I may even plan a visit out there soon just because the work is THAT good! Kyle is extremely professional, an amazing artist, and great at his job, along with the rest of the employees at this shop! read more

Not only was he disrespectful towards me, but more importantly he was incompetent in his technique. There is no reason he should be tattooing anyone. My tattoo bled(blown out), scarred and looked disgusting. Thankfully I found an incredible artist in downtown Augusta who covered it beautifully and was completely professional. The man who did my cover up agreed that this was a terrible "artist" who is a disgrace to the real professionals. I do not suggest Philip for any tattoo. Perhaps others there have talent, but he has no place in this industry. Leave it to the real artists with *two hands* who know what they're doing. ARE YOU FREAKIN CRAZY?? Phillip did my cover ups and has always done my sons tatts and their friends tatts and not once have i ever heard someone as ignorant as you say such stupid shit.
