I called for assistance because my minor child needed to see a doctor, and the doctor was having problems verifying coverage. Dennis insisted I send him "documentation," but the doctors never give you a piece of paper saying you are denied, they just tell you. In the past, with other employers, the insurance rep is usually helpful and will step in since they have the relationship with the carrier. Dennis didn't even want to call and follow up on our behalf, or want to give me a phone # for the third party administrator covering the plan. Our whole family is covered on the same HMO. He had the nerve to question (in a condescending tone) whether OUR daughter was MY child or her dad's. What the hell does my child's paternity have to do with coverage? So basically, if you have a blended family, or adopted child, Dennis doesn't think they are deserving of care when in pain. #1 It takes two people to make a baby, and if he doesn't know that, then he's too dumb to deal with, #2 If a child is in pain, most people would have some compassion. If you want a rep that will assist when you need it, stay clear of this place. You're welcome.
