He does not follow through on commitments. He told me he could start my project on a certain week in May 2022 and suggested we meet the week prior to work out a plan. I responded that that sounded good and I asked for an estimate. I never heard from Jeremy again. I texted him 2 times after that and but got no response. At one point I called and left a detailed voicemail. Again, he did not respond. I was anxious to start my project. It's difficult to find contractors in my area, I was optimistic he would work out, but he completely let me down. This was a very frustrating experience!

We were able to carry on our regular routines throughout the project as Jeremy and his crew worked well with our dog and created clear boundaries between the construction area and our everyday living space. We love our new kitchen and we will definitely be calling JD Construction for our next remodel project.

Macias Construction claims to operate on "Quality, Efficiency, and Integrity," but my experience…read morewas the exact opposite. I chose them to avoid the "headaches" of a remodel, yet I ended up paying $30,000 over the initial estimate. The project took two months longer than promised, and I constantly had to micromanage them. Despite their claims that crews were on-site, my security cameras proved otherwise. Be warned: their contracts are incredibly vague. While they make it seem like you have "options," almost everything--from specific tile to basic kitchen stains--is an upcharge. Their corporate structure (LLC) makes legal recourse difficult, and dealing with three different points of contact was exhausting. I eventually paid just to be done with them.
