I bought this in December 2016, and did the flight April 2018. We were long distance so we had been trying to plan this when he would visit. The weather was unfortunate every time, so we had to keep rescheduling. The staff here was so helpful and quick to respond in rescheduling our flight a number of times. We got to the office by PDK airport and we were greeted by the staff. They were very welcoming. He was able to do a flight simulator prior to flying. We met up with Spencer, who would be flying with us. He was very nice and a great teacher in walking through the steps of checking everything before you fly and how to actually fly the plane. He allowed my boyfriend to do most of the flying, but he was right there in case he would've had to step in or takeover with his own controls. The tour of the city was awesome and my boyfriend loved it once his nerves subsided! The weather was perfect and we went around sunset. I was so happy I got to ride along while we flew to experience it also. This would be a great date night and I would totally do this again! My boyfriend was talking about wanting his pilot license now that he did that. If you're interested in seeing what it's like to fly, you should definitely check this out!

Our pilot was nice, and we felt very comfortable with him at the helm. We saw some beautiful views of Atlanta. Neither of us had ever been in a helicopter before so it was just a really cool different experience. If you have the money, you can actually rent one of their jets for $10,000 an hour. He said it has enough fuel to take you to Europe on one tank. I'm wondering who can afford that but it sounds pretty amazing. WARNING: This is the hard-nosed kind of flight school that many pilots frown upon. I spent 12…read moremonths and 10x dollars doing what another flight school accomplished in a week. Filling their schedule takes priority over student needs. Expect to fly once or twice a week for an unknown amount of time. Daily training is rarely offered. The instructors are good pilots but below average instructors. They tend to favor trial and error methods over demonstration and explanation. Training materials are poor or non-existent. I had to create my own checklist! The airplanes are well maintained. This is the only redeeming quality of this school. I do not recommend this flight school. I had a much better experience at a large school.

This gives you time to prepare; use the restroom etc. We brought our own Clicquot to drink, the only thing they ask was for us to buy spill proof cups, which were $10 a piece, which I felt was fair, because most companies won't allow you to BYOB lol. Upon arrival the greeter at the front desk was very pleasant and smiling, I didn't get her name but she was sweet :-) !! We had the 30 minute, Buckhead/Downtown tour. The tour was Amazing, thanks to our pilot Cody. THANKS AGAIN CODY !!! Cody flew us through Downtown, Buckhead, and the Perimeter area near the King & Queen Building & Perimeter Mall Very great tour, our ride was smooth and steady !! Flying a helicopter around town? Why not. Whether it's a random activity you decided to do on a…read moreweekend or something for a special event, it is absolutely worth the experience. The staff was extremely nice, this I am giving this rating mainly based on that. However, on the day we came (Valentine's day), they had a bad planning mistake and clearly overbooked too many people for these rides. That resulted in having to wait over an hour for the flight. However, the person working with us kept us updated all the time and assured that it was a one time occurrence and things just didn't go in their favor on that day (such as having to take a break from flying and going to get gas). He seemed like the kind of person that would be great at extracting some lessons learned and was extremely courteous, thus I am still giving a good rating. Can't punish good people for a single mistake, but obviously if something like this happened again, I'd be furious. The experience in the helicopter itself was unreal! So much fun and the pilot was awesome. Unfortunately, the headphones did not work, so we couldn't really hear the pilot, but that wasn't a big issue. It's a small helicopter, so that made it even more fun, a feeling of being weightless almost. Overall, despite the wait and some annoyances associated with that, the nice staff and lasting impressions made up for it.
