It wasn't until I parked my car and turned it off that I realized they fixed the ignition tumbler, too! (Not sure how difficult that was for them) And then later, I realized I wasn't hearing any squeaking belt starting up my car. They fixed that up, too! And they are super helpful even giving their thoughts on different issues with the car to look into as they notice them and they don't charge an arm and a leg. Very happy with their services and will definitely be using them as my go-to mechanic as I'm fairly new to the Bremerton area.

I received a phone call about two hours later, after the 30-point maintenance inspection was done (which I didn't receive a copy of from the auto center) in about two hours. They suggested additional maintenance due to the car's mileage and age. The total cost was going to be over $2400. I picked up my car at the end of the day right before they closed. I was told that they couldn't finish the maintenance because one of the parts was defective. They asked me to return the next day, which I did. I spent most of the next day waiting for the part to arrive. I watched them through the window to the garage ask they worked on my car. I saw my car drive back and forth several times in the stall (start, stop, back up, drive, repeatedly). I saw them move my car up and down the hydraulic lift a few times. No one ever came to me to explain what was happening. I stayed until the end of the day again, but they still couldn't complete the maintenance on my car, because they had no solution. They asked me to bring it in the next day and leave it for at least two hours so they could figure out why my car was still making noise from when I first brought it in. I was not happy with their customer care. I felt very frustrated and scammed. I never returned to this business to have them TRY to figure out what was wrong with my car. In the future, I will act regarding getting quotes and second opinions. Also, I will make sure I get a copy of the maintenance inspection. This was a very expensive lesson, and one I will not repeat in the future.

I also asked for a full inspection of the vehicle and told them do it ONLY if the power door lock and interior light issue is fixed. However, they did not wait and did the full inspection and charged me for it even though the power door lock issue and interior light was not fixed. They refused to give me back the key unless I paid for the full inspection which I unfortunately had to since I had no choice. A very bad experience. I will never trust them with my vehicles again.

My 2007 Lexus RX350 had terrible vibration/tracking issues. I suspected a rack and pinion, but I decided to spend the $145 for an official diagnostic at this reputable shop. The diagnosis came back as the rack and pinion and rear suspension bushings. After discussing a course of action, it was recommended to start with the rack and pinion (which I had already purchased). I agreed and dropped off the car and parts a few days later for the repair. A few days later, I received a call that car was "ready to go". There was no mention of any issues, so I happily paid for the repair ($982.94 in labor) and left the shop. As soon as I left the shop, not only was the issue worse, but several dash lights were on (ABS, VSC, CEL). Clearly the tech did not take the car for a test drive to ensure the safety of the vehicle. I took the car home and decided to diagnose the issue myself. It turns it was the pair of rear knuckle bushings, connected to the rear trailing arms, that was actually causing the issue (not the rack and pinion). I purchased the bushings kit and scheduled the drop off for the fix. To ensure that nothing else was touched, I wrote on the early morning drop-off form for the replacement of "only the rear knuckle bushings" and followed up with a call to clarify this. This repair can be done with a universal ball joint removal tool without the knuckle being removed -- a relatively straightforward, simple job. A few days went by before I received a call notifying me that several components were damaged during the repair. I decided to stop by the shop to investigate and it turns out that they had removed the both knuckles and removed all three trailing arms to press out an additional bushings. Several bolts/nuts were damaged, two forward trailing arms were cut, and I was surprised with a bill of $673.79 for labor. Reluctantly I went back home and purchased the damaged parts which ran me another $400+ out of my own pocket. A few days after I dropped off the parts, I received a call that the car was fully repaired and ready for pickup. I confronted the shop about the damaged parts and unnecessary labor. They didn't own up to the mistake or even acknowledge it. There were other customers in the lobby, so I decided not to escalate it further. I was given a courtesy "AAA discount" for $50 as a concession. The bill came out to $872.32 after the "discount." I can tell that the staff was irritated and I was sent off without an apology. Again, the tech did not take the car for a test drive to ensure the safety of the vehicle. The dashboard was littered with warning lights (ABS, VSC, CEL, AFS, and Brake). I drove it straight back to the shop, where I was clearly not welcomed. They didn't invest further until I kept pushing for a resolution. They agreed to take the car in another day. I took the car home again and diagnosed it myself. It turns out that the rear-left ABS line and AFS sensor were both damaged when technicians dropped both knuckles. Again, I purchased the parts myself and took it back into the shop a few days later. When I finally went back to pick up the car, they handed me the keys and expected me to just walk out. I stood my ground and asked for a reimbursement for the parts that they damaged (for the 2nd time). Again, no apologies or acknowledgment of fault. I was denied a reimbursement and was offered a credit towards a future repair instead. In disbelief and disgust, I left. I was hesitant to post this review since I understand how difficult it is to run a business, but my experience was a total nightmare and I felt that it had to be shared.

I brought in my 2004 Honda Odyssey because of an intermittent transmission problem. I explained in detail that the vehicle had occasionally failed to engage properly and appeared to go into limp mode. I also explained that about two months earlier, while driving from California to Washington, the transmission had overheated and pushed fluid out through the dipstick tube. I specifically told them this because there was still old dark transmission fluid residue around the top of the transmission. I left the vehicle with them for approximately a week. During that time, communication was extremely poor. I rarely received updates unless I called them myself. When I did call, I was repeatedly told they would get back to me, but I continued having to follow up to find out what was happening. When I finally picked up the vehicle, I was charged $242.87, including $219.99 for diagnostic time. Their paperwork says the diagnostic service includes a test drive, computer scan, monitoring the data stream, evaluating diagnostic information, and checking applicable technical service bulletins. However, the actual written findings were extremely limited. Their report states that the vehicle was "shifting OK at this time," that the transmission fluid looked clean and the level was OK, and that they found code P0730. It then states that the transmission had "failed internally" and recommends replacing the entire transmission. They quoted me approximately $7,400 for the replacement. When I asked how they determined that the transmission had internally failed, I was simply told it was based on their testing. I was not given any detailed test results showing what specifically established an internal mechanical failure. If I am paying over $200 specifically for a transmission diagnosis before being told I need a $7,400 repair, I expect a clear explanation and documentation showing how that conclusion was reached, especially when their own report says the vehicle was shifting normally during their test drive. Maybe the transmission ultimately does need replacement. That is not my complaint. My complaint is that after leaving my vehicle there for approximately a week, repeatedly having to call for updates, and paying $242.87, I left without a clear explanation of what testing actually proved that the entire transmission needed to be replaced. Between the lack of communication and the lack of detail supporting such an expensive recommendation, I was extremely disappointed with my experience. You're better off going to Firestone down the street, and they're a rip-off, so that goes to show.
