Wow quite simply a vintage lover's dreamland! I have been meaning to visit this little gem. And I finally got my chance this past Saturday. Simply put these ladies have a great eye for vintage and have a vast array of items. It is all here for the taking from vintage handbags, gloves,jewelry, hats, slips, dresses, beaded sweaters, skirts, and other items too numerous to mention. All the items have carefully curated nothing smells fowl or of mothballs either. The items are displayed so beautifully too! The owners Claudia and Lucy are so knowledgeable they really know of what they are selling. I was thrilled with their inventory. Never have I wanted so many items which is rare for me and vintage! I am quite particular of what I buy and collect. I was taken with the quality and the reasonable prices for their wares. The store was having a red line sale this past Saturday if the item has a red line across the price tag it is 50% off! I walked out with two vintage purses for a mere $ 12.00 each. You cannot buy a brand new purse for that price and not of such quality either. Lucy invited me to a cocktail reception that her and Claudia were hosting from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. I was impressed with their customer service and the ambiance of the store I will be back. I signed up for their email list as well. That way I have first dibs on upcoming sales and promotions! Happy hunting gals! I was hesitant to give such a glowing review as this is such a treasure in Oakland. I don't want other girls grabbing my must haves! Facebook said they were open this weekend. Drove there and there was an OPEN sign on the corner pointing to the store with hours of 10am-4pm. It was 3:30pm. Door was locked and the curtains were drawn... Waited 5 minutes and knocked on the doors but still no answer. I peeked between the curtains and saw that the lights were also turned off. This is one of those magical places that you happen to wander into on the one day it's open, and it changes your life... So much treasure here... A strawberry-embroidered chiffon robe and nightie set. Gorgeous laced pumps from the 40s. Naughty pot-holders from the fifties. Amazing dresses, and sweaters, and jackets, and oh god the hats. Come check out this little secret....let Claudia and Lucy dress you up in fabulous style. I know they will have just the thing to complete your outfit. Their shop is so much fun to browse in, and I just dare you to try to get out without finding a must-have treasure. The women who run the shop also have a contagious enthusiasm for their hobby. It's so refreshing to be welcomed by them - it makes a trip to the shop more like a visit to a friend's house than to a retail store. If you love vintage clothing and accessories, the quality and value of the items stocked here are unbeatable. The things I have found are in immaculate shape, and the prices are very reasonable. A small, but wonderful store run by the most wonderful ladies. Lucy and Claudia are so funny, nice and charming that you are basically guaranteed to leave happy from every visit to All Things Vintage. On my most recent visit, Lucy noticed that the sleeve lining of a jacket I was looking to purchase was ripped and immediately sat down to mend it for me while I looked through the rest of the store. Now that's good customer service! As other reviewers have noted: - They are not open every weekend so check the website before you go or join their mailing list. - They do take credit card now so that is convenient. - There is unfortunately not too much selection for men. LOVE THIS PLACE!! Need to be on the mailing list or check with the website for the days that it is open but this place is fantastic. Really great, quality vintage goods. If you're looking for stuff out of the bargain basement, can try the stuff on the sidewalk outside the store but truly this place is worth the extra $$ since the quality is just amazing. In addition, the owners are funny, helpful and dress in vintage when they are in the store. What more can you ask for? I spend hours there every time I go. My mom and I also stumbled upon this place by chance which just added to its charm. Walking inside this store feels like I am walking into the house of Jackie O, Grace Kelly, or Audrey Hepburn. I was first drawn to the room on the right because it looks exactly like a 50's dream bedroom. Closets full of dressing gowns, night gowns, robes, underwear, silk scarves, and all sorts of other beautiful vintage delicates, lingere, and accesories. The first floor is so well put together you can't beleive how many items they have and how easy it is to look through every item. No surface is uncovered yet it is all put together with such thought it never looked cluttered. The quality and care that goes into making sure all these vintage garments look their best really shows and it was so nice to hear Lucy talk about how the most important thing is to have fun. . . . Oh and did we want and coffee or tea or cookies!? Prices are very fair and they pay the sales tax! One item wasn't marked and when I asked her how much she gracefully said "oh we'll just figure it out at the register and come up with something we like" I like $4 for a darling metal tree frog with a great patina. My mom also loved the shop and we spent about an hour and a half taking our time, trying a few things on and then staying a bit as two young ladies from the neighborhood came in to do some garment modeling. This is a gem of an operation! Having driven here from Danville, I must have entered the store with desperation on my face. I was greeted quickly and courteously by the store owners who asked how they could help. With a 20's themed birthday party to go to that night, both of them jumped into action, pulling out all kinds of suggestions including hats, jewelry and even a beautiful fur stole. It was so fun trying everything on! As it happens, I walked out with a hat, costume pearl necklace and Chinese silk overlay/wrap (that they suggested I wear over wide leg pants and scoop neck tank, with Mary Jane shoes). The prices seemed downright reasonable to me given their expertise and the uniqueness of the pieces (a little under $120 for the three I left with). What a lovely store run by lovely ladies. I stumbled upon them after spotting the "vintage sale" sign while driving by on MacArthur, and I'm glad I stopped in. This place is jam packed full of fascinating and lovely items. The ladies in charge are welcoming (glass of Prosecco, anyone?) without being pushy and the quality of goods is very high while the prices are pretty darn reasonable. I had a Gatsby themed party to go to and the dress I had ordered on Amazon turned out to be something I didn't want to wear after trying it on. The party was a few hours ahead, Halloween was long over and all the pop-up costume stores gone with it, and I had a problem -- one I wish I had had earlier! All Things Vintage keeps that perfect balance between true vintage and quality in craftsmanship as well as design so that you can find original pieces that feel authentic rather than costumey. The owners, Claudia and Lucinda, are clearly VERY passionate about what they do, they have endless patience and never tire to make suggestions. I walked out with the most perfect marabou feather trimmed white satin slip and light gray fox stole and had more than just a few heads turned that night. Highest quality vintage items at exceptionally reasonable prices. It is always a joy to shop here, it becomes an event! Claudia and Lucinda make shopping fun. Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful! I first discovered All Things Vintage a few months ago when I was looking for a vintage dress for a show I was performing. Claudia was so generous and lovely, she opened the doors for me to browse through all those fabulous vintage clothes. And I mean beautiful clothes and purses, hats, gloves, shoes, nightgowns, a small but nice mens section upstairs...you name it and they seem to have it and in great condition too. My Boyfriend and I were so excited to stumbled upon this little shop last Saturday! They are only open once a month and we happened to be out exploring on the Saturday that Lucy and Claudia were open! These lovely ladies are absolutely fabulous and man do they know their vintage! I had such a blast shopping their merchandise and trying on some really great vintage pieces! One of the best discoveries I've made in Oakland . . . All Things Vintage is by far the best "vintage" store I've ever been in. This is true vintage, not a thrift store. These ladies know what they are doing, plus they are two of the classiest women I've ever met. Open every other weekend, but well worth the wait! Recently discovered this gem on craigslist. Claudia and Lucy are the real deal. Their expertise and taste are unparalleled. Love their generous spirits and willingness to share the knowledge they have. The shop is filled with the finest vintage and one might expect snobbery to go hand in hand. Refreshingly, that simply isn't the case and these ladies are as welcoming and classy as they come. It doesn't get any better then sipping a complimentary mocha, nibbling a sea salt caramel all while browsing the most amazing collection of vintage finery. These ladies are helpful and enthusiastically pull out hidden treasures without being pushy to make a sale. Lastly, the prices are unbelievably fair! Bravo! read more

What a delightful experience we had this morning selling items from my mother-in-law's estate to Claudia and Lucy! They helped us decide what made most sense to consign and what to sell. They were genuine in their interest and enthusiasm in reviewing each item and they gave us good referrals for selling other items. Claudia even did some modeling for us and they were fair and generous in their offerings. Wonderful women to work with!
