I've had a meeting in West Kensington and as usual I was way too early...so I decided to go over my…read morespeech at a local Starbucks or so...but luckily I walked by this little gem of indy coffee shop. The atmosphere is really nice and there's plenty of seatings - big community tables, small tables and high-tables that allow you to look out of the window. I didn't pay much attention to the food selection, but there was quite a nice array of different beverages - cold and warm alike. The only downside for me was that it was packed with Mommies and their screaming kids...but I just plugged in my earphones and tuned out the whining noises. Try it out, it's for sure refreshingly different from the nearby Cafe Rouge...

The pastries and freshly baked goods are spread all over the counter in neat arrangements. Most of the cakes are displayed at the window and really make passerbyers salivate. The place is also family friendly with a change table across the toilet and toys around the eating area. On my first visit, I had one of the best hot chocolate I've ever had. The eggs benedict was a decent portion size and satisfying on a cold winter day. The day right after I couldn't help but go there again and had a generously filled smoked salmon crepe filled with cream cheese. Definitely will make this a local fav of mine!

The sandwiches are fantastic, and you're more than welcome to go "off-menu" if you'd like your own fillings. I highly recommend the Meatball and Feta toasted Ciabatta, which actually came as a recommendation from the lovely lady who worked there. Prices are extremely reasonable, and the food is fantastic. A good selection of breakfast and lunch-type foods are available, and the atmosphere is friendly. The cafe is spacious, clean and I always try to make time to come here at least once a month. Would you want to bring a date here? No, but that's not what it's for. Would you bring a group of friends here after a messy night out for a hangover cure in a friendly setting? Absolutely! And for that, 5 stars is deserved.

I was impressed by its chic decor- with its little white wooden chairs and bunting outside it really looks the part and is nice to sit in there, and in terms of the service, the staff are generally quite welcoming and friendly. The food is decent, but I found out that it isn't fresh, and has instead been brought in from the high-street chain Paul, as apparently they have some kind of deal. I found this a little disappointing from a boutique-cafe like this, but overall it is still a good, fairly cheap little cafe.

Not a bad latte here, and with the big bonus that it's not a 'chain' cafe, so prices are rather more modest - for example, a bacon and egg baguette with a tea or coffee is £3.95. Friends working nearby are regular users. They have seating inside and out and, while the view isn't very exciting, it is right next to the Church Street stop of Croydon Tramlink.
