I have come here a few times over the years and always like to bring new folks to explore. It's not for the faint of heart - come ready to dig! For me, thats part of the appeal of thrifting, you get to dig for treasures. Most recently I picked up a bunch of vinyl records for $15. Best of all, he's got great prices and a great attitude. He also posts on his instagram all the time about the cool stuff he gets in. And he's very active in the local community. Always giving back. I really wanted to love and support All Things and More. I had several bags of high-quality items I'd been meaning to donate, and I was specifically looking for a place that wasn't a typical Goodwill. I came across this small mom-and-pop thrift shop and thought it would be the perfect fit. Unfortunately, when I drove by to drop off my donations (I believe it was on a Friday or Saturday), I didn't feel comfortable getting out of my car. The area felt unsafe, and with my child in the car, I couldn't bring myself to leave the items. The storefront and surroundings looked very messy and unorganized, almost like piles of trash, and it didn't give me the feeling of a normal operating business. I want to emphasize that my intent was never about tax write-offs -- I simply wanted to support a local business doing good work. The customer service I can't speak to yet, since I didn't make it inside, but the overall environment wasn't inviting at all. I do plan to give them another chance in the future because I love supporting small businesses. Hopefully next time the experience will feel different, but if it's the same, I'll likely have to look elsewhere for donations. Update: The owners responded to my original review saying it was unfair to give a 3-star rating without stepping foot into the establishment and that I could have contacted them to come outside. While I appreciate the clarification, I respectfully disagree. I believe reviews should reflect real experiences -- and my experience was arriving with donations and not feeling safe or comfortable enough to even get out of the car. The environment was dirty, messy, and did not feel like a functioning business. When you're dropping off belongings -- especially with a child in the car -- the external environment matters just as much as what's inside. It wouldn't have been fair for me to give this place 4 or 5 stars when, in my opinion, a 4-star rating means it's an excellent establishment and a 5-star rating means it's outstanding and above and beyond. Based on what I personally experienced, that was simply not the case. I do still plan to give this place another chance in the future, and I truly want to support small businesses like this. But my review reflects my visit -- and I think it's important for people to know what kind of environment they may encounter when they come here to donate. read more

Prepare to enter an incredible and UNIQUE thrift- Zach is the most amazing shop owner in the valley. He will offer you fruit or different snacks while shopping. So many unexpected treats and items you'd never expect to see again. Yes you have to be safe. You know where else you have to be safe? Everywhere. Out of seven reviews, five are one star. You're not trying to help. You're not trying to be a good yelper, you're trying to sow discord and spread seeds of doubt in people who may not be savvy enough to know the difference between a real yelp review and biased garbage. Also, mentioning the language thing? Specifically about speaking Spanish, you sound like a racist and if if looks like a duck, talks like a duck... you get the idea. He can say whatever he wants, about whomever he wants. His store, his rules. It's people like you that make the world a sad and angry place. Nothing useful. Nothing productive. I stumbled upon this store over a year ago and I've been going ever since. The owner Zach is an absolute sweetheart and will make you feel right at home. The prices are unbeatable and will leave you shocked! If you're not big on unorganized environments this store is not for you. However, that adds to the fun as everytime I've gone I have never once left empty handed. It truly is one of a kind and Zach adds exponential value to the store. I don't know what I would do with out this thrift store, it really is also an amazing prop house and because of him I was able to get props for my films I direct cheap. Zach has worked with Oscar winning projects as well as small indie film makers like me, and works with in every kind of budget. All Things and More is one of the most aptly named businesses that I have ever come across because you can truly find all kinds of things at this nondescript outpost along the southside of good ole San Fernando Road in lovely Sun Valley, California. Describing this place as a thrift store is certainly an accurate description, it really fails to portray the true nature of this establishment--perhaps "adventure-time shop" would be more accurate. GETTING THERE Located along San Fernando road, about mid-way between Penrose St. and Sunland Blvd., this store is not hidden but is easy to miss from amongst the auto dismantlers and other industrial businesses that dominate this area. There is limited (free) street parking along one side and the front of the store. If you miss the store it is difficult to "circle the block" and BE VERY CAREFUL if you try to flip a U-turn because traffic can be going as high as 60 mph along this stretch of highway. WHAT TO EXPECT Chaos. Wonderful, initially frustrating, pleasantly rewarding chaos. As you enter the establishment you will encounter an abundance of costume jewelry ahead and to your right. To the left, you will find several shelf-lined aisles laden with mostly household knick knacks and such. Do not hesitate to go thru the small doorway at the back of the shop which leads to a patio-area where your adventure truly begins.Now, not very much in this store has a "proper" display place but, in general you'll find clothing to your immediate right (outside), electronics & media to your left, and tools & furniture is straight ahead. Many of the items are offered "swap-meet style"and are often commingled in boxes or buckets. Disposable gloves come in handy while shopping here. PRICING and VALUE There are no prices displayed for nearly any item. Since for some that may be important, I'll repeat THERE ARE NO PRICES DISPLAYED in this store. Instead sales are conducted like a garage sale--where a price is given for the lot, which you've selected, and may be haggled over. However, rest assured haggling is entirely optional and rarely necessary because for the most part the quoted price is below that which I had been prepared to bargain for. Pro-Tip: My strategy is to add a couple of items that you kinda-sorta want and use them as a sacrifice to get the price you want to pay (although here I often end up taking my sacrificial items home too!) In the spirit of "full disclosure", I admit that I did not kindly review other establishments specifically due to their lack of displayed pricing on their fixed inventory of items while shopping. The key difference is that All Things and More does not have a fixed inventory, having instead a plethora of unique items that were once commonplace in someone's home. To be perfectly honest, it would not be possible, nor practical, to put a price-tag on every item because of the staffing situation. The owner/manager, Zach, generally has three or four people he calls on for assistance but they don't seem to be employees, maybe volunteers or family members? Regardless, Zach is the driving force behind this haberdashery for homeless household items that you can no longer live without. Kudos Zach! read more

I now have weird vintage clothes that Idk what to do with yet but they were cheap af. WOW. I think I found heaven. I just visited for the first time and Zach, the owner, was so kind and showed me around right away. This place is full of broken junk, piles upon piles of literally trash. Its usafe to walk through, probably a huge fire hazard and sadly, i've notices rat droppings outside. The owner is not fooling anyone with his toxic positivity, he talks bad about customers as soon as they step out of the store or while they still shopping he says bad things in Spanish, thinking that they don't understand. I've passed this place a hundred times and often thought to myself that I should take a look. It's literally a mile and a half away from my home. I drove past again today coming home from a delivery. It's been REALLY slow today, so I dropped in. It's FUN! It's packed to bursting with all sorts of kitschy oddities. And I have never seen so much jewelry in one place in my life! All super cheap, but it's a literal treasure hunt, there is no real organization. I found and bought an awesome vintage reel to reel tape recorder, some DVDs, and two pairs of earrings.
