THE ABSOLUTE WORST. Charged us $12k (not including materials, I paid for everything) to install a hot water heater, replace our main line, redirect a water line, reroute a gas line and redecorate a bathroom. We spent an additional $3k after he left fixing solder, replacing hardware and fixtures, and replacing damaged doors and implements he damaged due to bad installation. He left a water pipe unhooked without blocking access off before leaving for the night, causing damage to flooring he just very poorly installed. He took smoke breaks every four minutes and threw butts all over our property. He used shitty fixtures he had laying around for my ceiling vent .... and didn't even connect it to an outside vent!! I asked for subway tile and he didn't do it on an offset, then offered to fix it at a charge. He didn't even know what subway tile was and didn't bother asking. He took weeks longer than he quoted and left all day, everyday to do priority plumbing jobs. I just paid Champion Services to come out now three years later to replace the mainline again.... he had used a shark bite clamp (temporary hardware) and then buried it under cement. All I can say is he was a lesson learned during new homeownership. I still prickle when I look at the light in my laundry room that permanently flickers that he put in. Upon completion, he boasted that he was taking a trip to NYC. Glad I could pay for that. Use Champion, they have fixed all his garbage work over the years and have done it affordably and professionally. read more
