The HVAC course was great our Professor ward is very well know elder statesman of this business he actually does his instructions wearing a cap and gown ‍ and our entire class would do live service calls with Professor WARD he would wear his cap and gown on service calls I remember one time he got tripped up and fell off the ladder he was out for a few weeks in the hospital but taught via zoom so alll was ok. I believe this program is worth it . All of the students are service managers now with less then two years in the field because of our training. I remember going to Turks on graduation day 15 of us in cap and gowns for our party. Wow even the girls had the pasties resembling our graduation caps. What great memories!!! read more

Red Flags Everywhere!!!! They don't let you see the range which is in Chester, PA until you complete the in class portion of schooling ( After they secure you financial-aid payments and you're already in debt) and you're into far to turn around. They drag out the schooling process to charge maximum fees. Their equipment is garbage, for choice of better words. The range that you learn skills on has massive holes in the ground which makes learning the skills beyond difficult. This school gives the feeling they're passing you through school/ skills but could prove to be an issue when testing with the state examiner for the state test. I did a survey through the website as asked to do following every skill learned and that survey was disregarded and i was sent another. There are far and few qualified instructors and majority of the instructors spend more time talking about one another than teaching if not on their phone. Some days they have to find an instructor because the one they initially assigned to your group didn't show up. They charge more than other CDL schools and drag out the courses to make it seem as though you're getting your moneys worth. There's many conversations going on amongst the instructors that not many students pass the actual state exam. None of the instructors are teaching the same curriculum as far as pre-trip is concerned. I'm truly surprised this school hasn't lost their accreditation yet. They reel you in because they take financial- aid and grants and once you're in you're invested so you have no choice but to continue forth while they collect more and more money. DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL!!!!! I found out about this school through one other family member they attended years ago and didn't hear anything bad about it. When I attended the tour and enrolled in the school the lady was helpful and encouraging and made it seem like it was my best option. First red flag was a month before school I had to redo my paperwork because my graduation date was incorrect. Fast forward to my orientation half of the people who should have been there didn't show up because they told them the wrong date so they missed out and had to come during night hours which is an absolute inconvenience. Then I spoke with financial aid, as a single mother of the age of 19 I should be provided with assistance, the financial aid counselor applied for me and I had not received anything back or any information further about it. So I paid the full price to attend the school which is outrageous! Then I started school and I still had hope. I enrolled in the Medical Assistance program so I am unsure how other programs work but I was put in a class with people who had been there for a month prior. The next month we then switched classes with someone while we came a long way within 6 weeks and had to restart all over again so the knew classmates knew what to do, we had to do this every 6 weeks. Along with the outrageous tuition price I should not have had to pay for we had awful equipment to use and learn with, such as a broken EKG machine, a broken centrifuge, and stethoscopes you could not hear anything in. The school itself is so dirty with dust everywhere. Now moving onto my online classes. I understand that Covid had a huge impact on schools and colleges but the online class was terrible. My teachers and aids in the school had no control over anything going on with the online classes, we had absolutely no help with anything, not only did I just have issues but my entire class not once not twice but MULTIPLE times all went to speak with another aid about it and nothing was done. I continued to make my way and do my best with everything. The most upsetting part is my last class I am currently taking. I made it all the way through 9 months of absolute chaos to get to my certification review which is 6 weeks long. We were unable to access practice tests for 4 weeks and only took one once. Nobody in my class learned anything that was on the test and the teacher scolded us for not knowing when we had no help through out our entire time of being there. We were supposed to take our certification on June 19th but on June 10th were told it was moved to June 17th instead. 3 of my classmates got last minute calls that they were having externship interviews just hours prior in advanced at a totally different facility then told prior. The facility is 50 minutes away from where they reside and none of them were okay with it but our teacher told them they had no choice. We need physicals, background checks, and cpr certifications to attend externship. I took my CPR class and the entire class was passed, a few of us never received our certification through via email. I was told I would get an email and they would take care of it. I never got the email, I did this multiple times, now I am being told I have to wait 4 weeks to attend the class over again because they lost the roster with my name on it since the previous teacher who taught the class had left. I am so furious with my experience at Allstate career school in essington and if there is anything I could do with what I learned there is to help other people avoid these issues! read more

PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS DUMP!!!!! First things first.. the admissions department are straight liars. They'll lie to you about everything in the hvac lab. You will not work on anything in that room. It's all for show basically decorations. Also the female admission sell their bodies to males to get them to horny and to sign up for the trap. They also tell you you'll be making 100k coming out of that school... LIES. Since when do you spend 18,700$ to go to a trade school coming out making 100k? NEVER!! You're not going to collate become some sort of doctor. You're going to a bs ran down place that is stealing your money. I'm a previous hvac student, the school is a straight disgrace. All they care about is attendance. College doesn't even care about that. They do not care about your education. The HVAC lab is joke. NOTHING WORKS!! The program directors and instructors change constantly. When I was a student there were 8 teachers and 3 program directors who came and left in less then a 6months time. They don't even treat the employees right. The program director now brought used equipment in to the lab to keep him from spending the 500$ budget. Yeah you read that right 500$ budget. The program is 18,700$ to attend, class size is between 10-20 students a class and all they have to spend for you is 500$... you can't even get a new compressor with that chump change. Also the program directors get a bonus when they don't spend their 6 week 500$ budget. I was told once from the dean that the HVAC department doesn't really have a budget so they took money from another program to just get a few things for the hvac program. A few things as in copper fittings, thermostat wire, light bulbs, fuses, and electrical tape. It's that bad they couldn't even afford that. They have 0 nitrogen, Recovery tanks that are over filled and have no new ones, no refrigerant, O tools for the instructors to demonstrate tasks for the students. The Instructors had to bring in their own tools. They got band from buying hvac supplies from a local hvac supply house because the checks bounce to many times... unbelievable. On top of all of that.. they never have trash bags for the trash cans, toilet paper, paper towels, markers for instructors to write on the board, paper or ink for the printers. Again.. 18,700 to go there as an hvac student that's not even including the medical assistant, dental assistant, and EMT programs. The place is a joke. They don't even own that building their in they rent. ALSO they're adding another program... a facility maintenance program. YOU DO NOT NEED A CERTIFICATE FOR THAT! PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! You can get a job with out that training. They'll train you PAID on the job. Why waste 17,000$ on something you can start out making 30-33 a year in? Back to The bs HVAC program... I advise everyone to please please please do not go to this school. It's a scam and a complete joke. The best way to learn this trade is daily hands on. You will not get that there. The best thing to do... Get a job as an install helper and LEARN!! Learn learn learn they'll train you RIGHT! And you'll be paid with benefits and great training. Places like OLIVER, Horizon, H&H, etc are great places to go to. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME MOST IMPORTANTLY YOUR MONEY GOING TO THIS SCAM. Message to the President of the school and Dean... You're nothing but a bunch of LAIRS. You both never worked in the field. You sit behind the desk and eat all day and get your bonus from the creditors to have the attendance right and fail students back to keep getting that extra money. You both are terrible ppl. STAY AWAY From All-State Career. I recently moved to PA and decided to get a CDL license in hope of a better career opportunity. I went and made a contract with ALL-State Career, to attend a course and get licensed. My experience was not what i expected. Not only was i DISCRIMINATED, but i did not get what i paid for. The instructor would assign tasks and topics every morning and they went out the rest of the day. At one point when i spoke to one of them, he told me that driving a truck was not meant to be for me, apparently everyone else taking the course had some sort of experience. I was the only Hispanic in the group, and i felt ignored majority of the time. The instructor told me that i am wasting my time, and that i should not be there. When i tried to speak to a manager, call the office, i never got a response or call back. When i asked for my money back, they told me that will not get it because it abandoned the course. How would i have stayed if i felt that i was not learning anything, instead trying to teach myself. THIS PLACE IS THE WORST. I actually attended another school, did not give up, and in less than one month, i have my CDL license. This school had actual instructors, and actually taught me. read more

I tried calling this school 7 times this morning to get information to see about enrolling my daughter in the emt program. Every single time I called I was hung up on, someone picked up the phone and hung right up so I just gave up. After reading reviews here on Yelp I definitely don't want my daughter to go here. Allstate career school preys in the hopes of people who are trying to better themselves. This place is horrible and overpriced. After dropping almost $10,000 (in student loans) and receiving a bare bones EMT education that consisted almost entirely of PowerPoint presentations and online tests with a half asses externship. i was shocked to find that i could have gotten a better learning experience at actual colleges and even hospitals for up to 10 times less money. Half the teacher seemed angry and disinterested in what they were teaching- or rather reading off of a 175 page PowerPoint presentation. I guess you could say I'm just upset i got swindled and bought into those late night technical school commercials. I only gave them one star because you can't write a review without one. I'm referring to the CDL Class A Courses. This school is so unprofessional. From classes, to training on the range to scheduling the state test, this school mishandled everything. When it came time to get my road trips in, they were so far behind that some days I wasn't able to practice because the class ahead was still trying to get theirs in as well. Trucks were old and breaking down. The graduation date was set for the end of January and it's now March and still waiting to take the state test. My original date was rescheduled because the truck broke down while I was actually doing my test. My instructor told me he was being audited and he showed up almost 45 mins after my scheduled date. It's hard to get in contact with people when there is a problem and no one ever calls you back. But when it's time to pay tuition they know how to be available all day. I had to reach out to corporate who finally got the ball rolling. They also told me that they have been receive a lot of complaints about the CDL department. I would never recommend this school to anyone. Good riddance! read more

I went for medical assistant and was promised I would be certified after attending their program(which was a complete lie) and I would find a job paying 90k. Had a great time attending all state career.There faculty was always nice and friendly.They were always willing and eager to help every student. Through my stay i built great relationships with basically every department. Especially with the career services. Bob and kim were really helpful in all aspects of job placement, resumes, follow ups. And with there help i landed a great job. And also like to thank my teachers who showed me a lot. Mr.G Mr.joe and last but not least Mr.pat!!!!!! Not to leave out my hvac chair. Mr miller. the worst trade school you can possibly take out a loan for ppl!!!! pleeaassee dont do it the administration is the worst ever in the history of paid for service i truly mean this do no i repeat do not waste your money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm back to finish my review because i was in a rush to log in for class. there is a lot of things wrong with school, if i told you all the issues i had within one month of enrollment you would think i'm lying or adding things to my review. the morning instructer is ignorant and constantly telling ppl to mute their line even when they want to ask a question about the classwork or homework or says just wait i'll get back to you. he is not a ppl person at all and has no personality. starts his class on minimum at least 25mins late everyday despite the fact he tells everyone you have to be in class on time, what a joke. i switched to the night classes and like that instructor a thousand times better. the administration will call you 2to 3 times a day prior to your financial aid going through and will not answer or return a single phone call once it does and they get paid this is the honest to god truth, ive placed more than 40 calls and left messages on at least 5 different ppl vm without a single response despite the fact that your calling about your education. i did not receive all my books at initial book pick up and had to go back a month later for two different things i didn't receive initially. i had to call corporate to get a response. being neglective to the students is a trend at that place. i truly from the bottom of my heart suggests you pick another location or school all together. by the way i'm in the trucking class and my grade is a 99, but believe me i got that grade from videos and reading chapter after chapter on my own. your money is the only thing that talks for you they don't hear anything else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

The teachers and staff are amazing . I was in the emt program which was a great experience and a lot to absorb. But with the help from staff and classmates, Everything went smooth . The new chairman of the emt department is a good instructor that know his stuff. Overall everyone at all state is very friendly and want students to succeed in life. read more

This is the worse school you could ever go to, the EMT course is 10,000 I am being charged 13,000. On top of that , they are SOOO unprofessional. This is the only EMT school in Pa that charges 10,000 for 6 months when an EMT course is no more then 2,000 for 90 days. DO NOT ATTEND. read more

From the lack of supplies, lack of staff, lack of competency All state career for HVAC has to be the worst trade school in American history. All State career's administration lacks compassion and knowledge of basic understanding of the student needs. If a problem occurs All State career will refer to handbook and tell you their hands are tied but when they want to enforce a policy they will tell you "Well the handbook doesn't say we can't do it"... actual quote from the dean of students... So in a way All State career will make the rules up as they go and not for the benefit of the students. I wish I could go back and stop myself from coming here. I would drop out but I'm too invested to leave now. I thought things would get better but things got worse every day. IMPORTANT: Apply for a job in the field as a installer and when you feel comfortable in the trade just apply to take the EPA on your own. This school is really bad. I will be the first to tell you i was a big fan of this school at first. But once i started and went through my mods, i feel more n more in love with the school. I went for Medical Billing and Coding. After you are done your classes the school helps you find an externship site. Then after your time needed for extern they will help you find a job in your field. In my experience i was hired from my extern site. All in all you will get out of the school what you put into it. read more
