Choose CR Mechanical!!... don't even waste time calling others…read more... Honest, on time, informative and fair. What more could you ask for in a HVAC company. A friend turned me onto Craig with CR Mechanical for help with my AC. I had a tech from Assured Heating come out previously and he told me I needed a new AC, he could install one for about 7k he assured me, this was after he spent about 10 minutes outside looking at the unit. After some rambling he said he can make it work by changing out the dryer ( $1000+) but it wouldn't be guaranteed to last. He applied about 1/2lb of refrigerant and charged me $350. CR Mechanical came out the next day and not only did he go through the entire system, he explained everything that was going on. He found that the previous yahoo from Assured overcharged the system and explained that the drier wasn't the problem ; he proved this by taking temperature differential across system components. He determined that the A coil and orifice were likely the issues. All that troubleshooting and he charged less than half of what the other guy charged. He presented 3 options to move forward, I choose to replace the coil and he completed all the work for under $1500. Couldn't ask for a better technician and businessman. Again... call CR Mechanical for any HVAC issues, you'll be satisfied and comfortable:)

I called KET Home Services this week after my furnace went out. I was a first time customer but…read morefound them on Nextdoor with raving reviews so I wanted to give them a try. I wasn't looking for a large HVAC company as I know those places tend to charge more and I also wanted to give a small business in the area the opportunity. I called in the middle of the afternoon and explained my situation, and within 1 hour Ken was at my house. His daughter was the call taker and she was very polite and professional and passed along to Ken that she felt my situation was urgent, which I appreciated. Ken assessed my situation and determined my furnace (20+ years old and on borrowed time) needed to be replaced and was dangerous to continue to use. He was nothing but nice and professional the entire time but stressed the issue of replacing sooner than later. He recommended I not use the furnace. After being at my home for approximately 1 hour, he was very kind and didn't charge me for the service call but instead deemed the visit a "quote". Now that is something you would never get from a "Big Box" company. The next day he emailed me a quote for a new HVAC system as my A/C was on borrowed time as well. He said he could even do the install with in 5 days (WOW). His quote was very fair and reasonable, however I didn't use his company but this was no fault of his. I would HIGHLY recommend him as others have as well.

Our project was unconventional as we needed a shower fixture for a cinder block shower enclosure. Peter arrived with all the parts required to complete the job without interruption and most of the fixture assembly was done in the back of his "workshop like" truck bed eliminating a mess in our house. The finished product installed on the cinder block wall of the shower actually looks rather nice, considering this fixture is generally placed behind a wall, out of sight with only the shower head showing. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend them to everyone, and for all of our future plumbing needs, planed or emergency, we will definitely be calling Burr Oak Plumbing.
