She explained there would be a delay due to the windows being special order. I was impatient and contacted the office for updates. After the install, I was contacted to ensure everything went as planned. It was a wonderful experience proving why local small businesses are superior. Thank you to the Joe The Roofer team.

I got a quote at noon and that afternoon they moved over, started on my driveway and had it done and cleaned up by 6pm. It was a fantastic job at a reasonable price. Negative reviews are a means to lash out, usually due to an unrealistic expectation. I rarely write a good review and should have when Stanley did my driveway several years ago. I just called them for a seal coat, mentioning that I was flexible and was happy with waiting till there were more jobs in my area. This is a family business with a good reputation. More satisfied customers should write when they are happy with the results, as I was and am.

If your looking to hire a contractor that walks off the job with half a deposit, this is your guy!…read moreWhen I say "GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING" it's no exaggeration. Ended up in small claims but this company got away with it because of the vaguely worded contract. Verbally, you'll be promised all of your expectations... Reality: doesn't work with a crew- he tackles your job alone. Rents the equipment- doesn't own the machines needed to complete the job. Leaves your property in a mess and doesnt know how to talk to clients. Changed the entire timeline of allowing settling time before the pouring of blacktop. When questioned he left my job and never returned. I had to hire a different company to finish. Penny wise- dollar foolish. This contractor comes in with an estimate below competitors for a reason. Wish I had a review to go by before hiring him, Stay far away! RESPONSE TO BUSINESS REPLY: Anyone reading this, take note how the business will take zero responsibility while making up stories & excuses to warrant stealing your money. Change around the scenario on a case by case basis but the "KEY FACTOR" is they took money for a job and didn't complete the work. Try looking up reviews for them, you'll find multiple addresses and slight changes in the name. They block ratings on facebook and go by "W. Cooper & Sons" on google. They also keep their information under a South Amboy location that doesn't exist anymore. Trustworthy? I think not... You'll see they mention Lenny as the man they dealt with -who is the owner of this company under a different address. The "good" reviews are so obviously staged it's actually comical. If this review saves anyone from hiring them, I'm ok with losing out on the $1500 they got away with.
