We were having issues with water not draining properly and actually backing up back through drains…read more It was 11:00 on a Saturday morning, so we were worried about 1) could they work us into their schedule and 2) how much extra would it be for weekend/emergency service. We were told they would get to us, but it would be a couple of hours as there were a few jobs already ahead of us. They arrived in what we considered a very timely fashion, especially on a Saturday afternoon. They listened to what I explained as the issue, observed the clean out, and knew exactly what to do. They ran the auger approximately 100 feet and you could hear it breaking through the tree roots. Upon retracting the auger, the roots were very evident on the cable and the claw. The service guy was very friendly and explained what he was doing through the whole process. He was extremely willing to answer all my questions. We were expecting to pay $500-$600 for this kind of service on a weekend. I was very pleasantly surprised when he said it was $305. I would definitely recommend Schoonover Sewer Services and I would definitely use their services again if needed!

The project went very smoothly given the age of our house and a few obstacles that presented themselves along the way. Their whole staff was very patient as I asked an enormous amount of questions. I highly recommend Mr. Rooter for small or large jobs. They gave me a free estimate for the work, showed up when they said they would, followed through with quality work, and at the end I paid the amount we agreed upon.

This Mr. Rooter Franchise is dishonest…read more We called them for an emergency plumbing service, for which they successfully cleared the blockage promptly. This left a good first impression, and we proceeded with a recommended camera inspection which revealed damage to a sewer lateral that needed repairs. Naturally, we agreed to have them promptly fix the issue and gladly paid a deposit on the work (to start the following day at the latest). When Mr. Rooter failed to return to our home over the following two days (while we did not have working plumbing)! we called to cancel the work and hired another vendor (who promptly completed the repair for us). This occurred in November 2025 and we still have not received a refund for the deposit (thousands of dollars) as of April 2026 despite repeated written and phone requests. If you do decide to work with this company, please avoid giving them a deposit/down payment until you are satisfied with a completed job. The gentleman who showed up late in the evening for the emergency call really helped us out, but that's not enough to make up for the subsequent failures and dishonesty.
