I repeated that I was calling to inform them that one of the other dogs had given it to her and to look into it. They treated it passively and unapologetic. We will not be going back.

After a couple of weeks of travel, he needs to be washed (Standard Poodle). I keep his coat short so he usually just needs some water and soap. This is difficult for me in the RV, so I look for alternatives. I tried this place two years ago and found the self wash room to be filthy. There was long dog hairs all over the room and it had clearly been that way for some time. Fast forward two years later and I had forgotten about this place. They advertised a self wash on Yelp, so I thought I would check it out. When I got there I realized it was the same place. I then thought, it has been two years, maybe it would be cleaner. Not that it mattered, there was no other customers in the store, but I was told that self wash usage was booked out for a week. So, I am posting this to remind myself to not bother with this place ever again. I only need ten minutes of water to wash my dog. I had even brought my own towel, shampoo and conditioner for my boy. The main reason I look for a self wash is to not have to bend down, as my disability makes that difficult, thus the service dog.

I made a reservation over Christmas and confirmed the reservation with the new owner (via email) in early March. Since I noticed a few of my dog's shots were not up to date, I made a veterinary appointment two days prior to my dog's boarding with Chelstars and got his shots up to date. When my wife arrived at Chelstars, three hours before our plane was to leave, the dog was denied entry since the shots happened less than two weeks ago. My wife was told that this rule was posted on the website (a picture of the website is attached). We were successful in having to find an alternative placement in less than an hour. Since I have had a four year relationship with the facility, I called the owner about future boarding. This is when Emi Jo mentioned my wife was swearing at the employees. While my wife was probably frustrated, she does not swear (and almost never loses her temper). My wife also vehemently denies it. I would bet my life on the words of my wife. Granted, I may have sworn and lost my temper, but... I was not there. We will not be returning! I will pay extra money to work with a facility that knows how to tell the truth about a website and doesn't make up fairy tales.

When we picked up our other golden Rob expressed to us how terrible everyone felt about what happened (no fault of Chelstars, and not preventable) that he excused our entire bill, which was in the tune of almost $400. It's hard to find a business that puts people and their feelings before the almighty dollar, and that spoke to me! We will continue to do business with them! They have always loved on our "kids" and we appreciate it so very much!
