I chose prix fixe for four people. We chose to do ham, classic stuffing, maple carrots, pimento mac and cheese and rolls. The menu said mashed potatoes/gravy and salad were included in this choice. Pickup was pretty slick, not many cars in the queue and employees had all food pre-boxed up and ready to go. I drove the 25 minutes over there, got my box, and drove the 25 minutes home. Then I noticed that they omitted my salad. I called them and they said I could drive back out there for the salad... so I did. (in total i spent 100 minutes in the car going back and forth to get the food. On the day of thanksgiving we realized that they gave us the wrong stuffing as well. The ham was measured out by pound and we got 2 lbs for four people - which would have been fine if 60% of it wasn't fat! We ended up putting more in the dog bowl than on our plates. The reheating instructions stated that we needed to put all the food in the oven covered to reheat it, and they gave us paper lids??? So then I had to use a bunch of foil to cover all the items. The mac and cheese (which is made with penne?) had no pimentos in it (i figured the red pimentos would be easy to see) but it didn't get any love as it was BONE dry pasta noodles. Bummer. The mashed potatoes, [forgotten] salad, and carrots were good, though the carrots were devoid of any maple flavors. For $200 we all just expected more. Just another case of restaurants over-selling to the point of mixing up too many things. I probably wouldn't order from them again.

Their team was responsive, helpful and flexible in helping us achieve what we wanted for the event. We had some request that seemed like a big deal, but Sazs event planner Michelle said "no problem!" as she helped develop our menu and overall timeline for the evening. Something I appreciated was their willingness and focus on taking care of our guests with allergies/dietary restrictions. While planning was truly a breeze, the service the day of was impeccable. The staff was helpful, professional and very efficient throughout the entire evening. We had so much positive feedback on the food that evening- everyone loved the apple cider glaced short ribs, blackened swordfish and the supper club style relish trays. The bartenders were friendly and knowledgable, ensuring our guest were provided well-crafted speciality cocktails and efficient service.

Saz's facilitated all communication in a timely manner regarding our tasting, final decisions, and timeline for the events. They were also very accommodating with phone calls instead of in-person meetings with us not living in the same city. For the rehearsal dinner we set up a buffet and the food was great! Many of our guests were going up for seconds and told us how good the food was. We went with their burger and chicken bar and there was not only plenty of food but the set up and takedown process after the event was handled with great professionalism and timeliness. For our wedding reception we could not be happier with Saz's as well! All the staff were professional and the food was amazing. We decided to go with hand passed apps for cocktail hour, family style dinner, and then a late night nacho bar. Our family and friends were going on about how great the food was and how many options they had to choose from. You get 2 pieces of fish, choice of potato, I got potato pancakes, coleslaw, cup of soup, bread, tartar sauce, lemon and I asked for applesauce for the potato pancakes. Something that has never happened here before is I had to go back as they forgot tarter sauce, lemon, coleslaw, butter for the bread and applesauce. By having to go back, my husband ate half of his sandwich, saved half for when I got back and we could somewhat eat together, so I never got a picture of his sandwich. The fish fry was good, but I am thinking it would have been better if I would not have had to go back. Next time I will eat it there. I have one piece of fish left, my bread and soup for tomorrow. Zilli's was super helpful to us in making that final decision. We had a couple of hesitations, but they had us come in for a second tasting which helped answer all of our questions. Elizabeth was always extremely helpful and quick to answer via email. We made menu changes a few times before the event, and this was done without any issue. The service at our wedding was exceptional! There were servers constantly bringing us anything we requested and they were all quick to help clear anything. Our only complaint was that our favorite appetizer was taken off the menu shortly before our event, and the appetizers were a bit underwhelming in general vs. our initial tasting. The buffet food was good - although not quite as hot as we would have liked it to be. The mac and cheese was everyone's favorite! The table linens looked incredible and everyone did a wonderful job setting up the space exactly how we envisioned it to be. Booked BOTH venues at the Mitchell Park Domes and it was never disclosed to us the ceilings LEAK! I figured that out on our final walk through (in the Show Dome), a month before the actual wedding. Had I known, I would NEVER have booked this venue. During my daughter's wedding ceremony 8/1/26, I was leaked on (dripping on my head) along with my other guests. I was mortified. Her dress was completely ruined during her ceremony walking in the Show Dome because it was raining inside and the path got all muddy (see pics). And the day of the wedding, I entered Greenhouse #7 - to find this going on (see the pics attached). I died a little inside - cried my eyes out before the wedding. Horribly embarrassing that your guests are walking around plastic bins and puddles at your daughter's 80K dollar wedding. Zilli should be ashamed of themselves. Anything that was good (and there were things) literally don't matter because the amount of deception I feel by Zilli AND STAFF ruins everything AND it was completely humiliating to have puddles on the floor while your daughter's wedding reception is going on. They should post these pics on there sites for advertisement. If that was not bad enough - read the contract fine print. 60 days prior to the event, they raised the price of food 6.3% and if you are looking for a feel good, you'll never get it. Their business practices are questionable as well as their "pricing." So much I could go on..... Where in ANY business is this acceptable, especially for the expense of a wedding?!?!?

Apparently the sangria is not on the menu, but they did a good job of making one up. We got served in plastic cups, but saw that others were drinking out of glass (should we have had to ask?). Ordered the Brisket Sandwich and the Pub Burger. Both came out relatively quickly (although they were waiting a while for the server to bring them to us). Both sandwichs were very good. The burger was flavorful, and hot. The sidewinder fries were also hot and well seasoned. The brisket sandwich was excellent. Couple of slabs of moist brisket, with a nice fat cap. The sweet potato fries were ok, but over seasoned. After we got our food, our server was MIA. Never came back to ask how things were, and we had to flag them down to get our check. (they were chatting it up with some other employees near the kitchen). In short, the food was very good. But the atmosphere and the server have a lot to be desired. I found them on a Google search trying to find somewhere that would accommodate vegan options, as I (and several of my guests) are plant -based. I was thrilled reading reviews from others experience with Chef Ravi and The Chic Chef Team and decided to reach out. Their website is every easy to navigate and their food options were exactly what we were looking for. They were so accommodating while I started the planning process 100% remotely while living in California, and experienced some delays with the pandemic era. We had to scale down quite a bit from our original plan, make necessary adjustments and they were able to reconfigure our menu and options to fit our final needs. The email communication and assurance Chic Chef provided to my groom and I was excellent, and eased our minds while having to delay and rest assured being able to utilize Chic Chef after postponing. We did a tasting the week before our Big Day, and we were so glad we made the drive for it!
