He worked seamlessly with our photographer and Maître d', and the transitions between dances, bouquet toss, dress changes, and everything else were smooth and well-timed. He even translated some parts into Mandarin for my cousins visiting from Taiwan, which was such a thoughtful touch. Sang Along has been doing this for nearly 20 years, and it absolutely shows. If you're a young couple who loves music, goes to festivals, and has sat through weddings where the DJ just blasts Top 40 and Pitbull to make up for low energy -- don't worry. As Mike has been in the business for 20 years and the glowing reviews on Yelp, WeddingWire, and the Knot, I made the mistake of booking him. Mike loves to march to his own beat and is extremely disorganized, ill-prepared, lazy, inattentive to details, unprofessional, outdated, lackadaisical, and quite frankly a bozo. While I was impressed by all of the vendors at my wedding, I was seething and cringing by Mike's countless mistakes. As other Yelpers have noted, Mike is highly skilled at mixing beats for Hindu/American fusion weddings and getting everyone to hit the dance floor. However, Mike caters to the crowd rather than to the bride and groom. There's "no magic", here are Mike's top 8 blunders which I confronted him at the end of my wedding night: #1: Using an old schedule that was 2 months old! After 3 phone calls with Mike and sending him a few revised schedules based on feedback that he provided, he used the 1st schedule that I sent him with wrong bridal party names, songs, and times! He neglected all of the changes that we discussed on the phone and failed to use the new schedule that I sent a week before the wedding like he requested. When 5 names are mentioned, but only 2 women and a man walk out to "Sister Sledge" playing, that's a blunder! #2: Missing Cues/Repeated stepping of glasses. My fiancee and I are highly private people and don't enjoy long kissing sessions in front of our parents and friends. We actually took out all kissing pics from our slideshow. During the reception, after a big frown and shaking of the head after the 1st stemming of glasses, Mike initiated and continued to round up the crowd for additional stemming of glasses. It got so bad that some of the bridal party members broke some of the glasses in retailation. The stemming of the glasses is a topic that I also wish Mike discussed with us before the wedding so we could have easily prevented this embarrassing mishap. #3 Announcing the grooms name first and then the bride's name. A big no-no! "Peter and Aarti Pruitt". Mike believes in men first, even at weddings. #4 Playing songs on the "Do NOT play list". I hate "Gangnam Style" with a passion and it was among the 20 don't play list. Not only did Mike happily play the song, but he refused to change the song when I asked him to! That wasn't the only one... #5 Begging for a Big Tip. Mike isn't shy about charging top dollar $3K and the audacity to ask my father for a big tip before the event! The bozo loves to overpromise and underdeliver. My dad was way too nice to tip him $200. As a firm believer of tips, I honestly would NOT tip him. #6: Trying to Upsell at the WRONG time. Mike and I had a couple of minutes before the reception started. Rather than using this crucial time to discuss making any last-minute changes to the schedule (ex. moving things up as we wanted to skip sunset pics due to the weather), instead Mike kept trying to repeatedly sell us on the dhol guy. I hate BHANGRA, why would I pay extra for it? #7 Forgetting to play the cake cutting song. I was looking forward to hearing my favorite Baby Love during the cake cutting, too bad I never got the chance to hear it! #8 Not taking full ownership. After confronting Mike about all of the blunders listed above, he kept deflecting and making excuses. Despite repeated emails and phone calls before the wedding, Mike was very ill-prepared and was "winging" it at the wedding with sheepish grins. While I appreciate Mike's apology for his mistakes in a follow-up email that he sent, he doesn't take away from the painful memories that I experienced due to his careless mistakes. He single-handedly ruined the reception. Not once did Mike make it about the bride and the groom, it was more of Mike's day and pleasing the crowd. If you want to make your day special, I recommend tuning him out and enjoying the beat of someone else.

Not only are the pictures crooked, but they are so out of focus they cannot be printed. I don't know how our photographer didn't notice everything was out of focus. And worse yet - left the issue unresolved and continued to shoot. I have included examples below. Brides - don't do it! We would have been better off having no photographer at all and having our family take cell phone pictures than using Touch of Class.

Evan the owner was arrogant and rude to me throughout the process. I stuck with it knowing that we had a good experience in the past. Songs that I requested that were on my plan, were not played. My photomontage had to be edited 3 times and we had to pay $450 extra because I had 30 extra pictures. A week before the party, he told me my package didn't include lighting so we had to pay $1000 extra for some mediocre colored strobe lights. Most of all, the digital zap photos that were on the contract were never taken and played on the 2 large screens that we paid for and he refused to make his mistake right and give any reimbursement after we took care of his crew during the event and gave them each a nice tip. In addition, their prices have gone up tremendously over the years. If you want a good experience, I would recommend looking at other companies for your entertainment.

Included in the planning stage was a re-schedule due to COVID. They were completely understanding and so easy to work with during that difficult time in planning our new date. Andrew was so responsive with all of our emails and phone calls. As for the reception, all went without a hitch! Andrew came to us as soon as we got there to confirm the order of events and pretty much guided us through the whole reception on what will work well. We had a same day edit to show from our videography and they coordinated perfectly together to get that played. Andrew asked us for our song preference and we pretty much told him to take the ball and run with it, and that's exactly the what happened. It was a great mix to get everyone of all ages up and dancing. The best part...we were able to talk to each other and hear over the music, we did not have to scream which was a huge concern. Our wedding date (May 15, 2020) was cancelled due to the governor's stay at home order. Imagine after 17 years, and two years of planning having everything changed due to something out of your control.   We were forced into a difficult situation and now find ourselves in the middle of a lawsuit with Mike Ginolfi, the owner of Off the Chart Entertainment. We attempted to work with him on creating a new contract and could not come to an agreement that worked for everyone.  I attempted to explain to Mike that both my fiancé and I are essential workers (my finance is a registered nurse) and he still opted to follow through with a lawsuit. I offered to have him keep the $200 deposit as restitution and he is continuing to pursue legal action against me.  He says that we are in breach of the contract and feels he deserves all the money for a performance that never happened and could not happen.   We have never spoken to Mike about a list of songs we wanted, we never provided the names of the bridal party, nothing was done for our wedding other than signing a contract that unfortunately was forced to be canceled due to our state and federal government along with the CDC guidelines. I lost thousands of dollars in wedding invitations, stamps, and custom items (flask & socks with our wedding date) and it is something my fiancé and I will have to deal with.   I am an understanding person, and would never want to see anyone suffer due to COVID-19, with that said; a person who I chose to do business with now is punishing me.  This has now soured the wedding process, and has made my fiancé and I regret working with Off the Chart Entertainment.  I personally cannot recommend Mike or his company after this experience. On top of all the stress of planning a wedding, the money going into the wedding itself, the last thing I want to deal with is a lawsuit from a DJ that wants me to pay the balance of the agreement to a wedding that could not take place due to governors orders.   I have read other reviews about lawsuit threats and he threatened me with another lawsuit if posted a negative review.  Well, I am already being sued and I ignored what the negative reviews said, learn from my mistake and avoid!

When we worried about the "planning" of the wedding music/setup...etc, he asked us to trust that he knew what he was doing and he promised not to disappoint. That's just what we did, and it turned out to be one of the greatest nights of our lives! The guests could not agree more- everyone from my 80 year old grandmother to 7 year old children had to be escorted off the dance floor at the end of the night. No one wanted to leave because of the great time they were having!! This wasn't just any wedding- it was a "dance party!!!" My husband and I were worried about choosing a DJ because in our opinions, the music was one of the most important elements of the night. We had such a wide variety of guests to keep happy- not only our friends, but also many relatives from out of the country.
