What a fun and relaxing way to spend the day. The staff was wonderful. They took their time to explain how the process works and we're quick to be helpful with any questions. read more

I am a mentor for Big Sister so I'm always looking for a fun activity to do with the lil sis. As the summer approaches I've been trying to stock up on activities that we can do indoors in the event it rains (talk about playing the odds w the weather here in central Florida). So I'm always on a lookout for affordable groupons that I can use when needed This past Sunday called for rain so we decided to take advantage of the Groupon I had purchased awhile ago. Unfortunately I can't quite remember what I paid for it maybe $12? That gave us a $20 credit towards pottery. Now I will say pottery seems generally overpriced, but not when you consider that it includes all the paints, stencils, work time and firing of the piece. There is plenty of space available for people to sit and we were assigned a table as soon as we walked in. Then set out to pick our pieces, there is a fairly decent collect but I would have preferred a few more options. Then a staff member ran through the tutorial on paints, brushes, sponges, stencils, pens, coats ... oh my so much info thrown at us all at once. My lil sis was to distracted by what piece she wanted to chose to catch most of what was said. Luckily I have done this type of activity before so I caught most of it. We spent a couple of hours on our piece and didn't have to worry about clean up that was all taken care off. Then we were told when we could pick up our pieces (7 days) and that we had until the end of the next month to pick them up. Also made aware of the fact that piece pick up times is in fact different from store hours. A little confused why this may be, but glad it was pointed out. Overall a fun activity for the kids or the young at heart. read more

All Fired Up - Finished product. Beach sign was $27 and plain plate was $13 - Art Galleries Near Me - Winter Park, Florida

Fun, very friendly people. But there tends to be a wait to get in. Easy pickup my plate last a long time and holds up.

We went to this place a couple years back and had a great time. Then we moved away from Florida and just happened to be in town this weekend and decided to go back last night and bring some friends for a fun evening of painting pottery. I was really shocked at the experience we had last night. I don't know if management has changed or it's a new owner but we were greeted by the manager who is captured in this picture. She's in the middle. I had mentioned to her that we were from out of town and that we would be painting some pottery to be shipped to us and she said OK and sat us and told us to pick our pieces and then she would instruct us on what to do. So once we sat down and got our pieces we picked out our paints and she offered to help us if we had any questions. So I asked her if she had a bicycle stencil and she said well you'll just have to look through the books and find it yourself. And I thought to myself OK well I guess she really didn't want to help us but that's OK. So I went to the books I found something that I could use and I took it out of the notebook. When she came over to our table she took the liberty to "correct " me that I had taken it out of the notebook wrong and next time I come to make sure I take the stencil out of the page but leave the page in the notebook. It made me feel like I was being scolded by a schoolteacher and I was back in the second grade. I thought to myself with as much money as I'm spending at this place tonight over $100, This manager should know better than try to criticize how I took the stencil out incorrectly from her binder. We proceeded to paint our pieces and just have a good time anyway and my friend had realized he left his watch in the bathroom when he went to wash his hands. There were only four tables of people in this pottery place. So he went to the front desk and sure enough they had his watch! We couldn't believe that they didn't mention to the people in the room that they had found a watch in the bathroom and could it be one of the people there. But again we were just glad he got his watch back and proceeded to finish our painting. What really bothers me is that we could've chosen do a lot of different things in Orlando and I had specifically chosen this place again because we enjoyed it in years past. But I can tell you this was not an enjoyable experience and we will never return except to pick up our pieces next week. I live in Texas and my friend lives in Ocala and she's going to have to drive all the way back to pick up our pieces because when we paid at the counter another girl instructed us that they don't ship anywhere!!!!! I was flabbergasted and I could not believe that the manager didn't tell us that at the beginning when I had told her we would be needing these pieces shipped because were from out of town. So please take note this pottery place does not ship your pieces if you were not from Winter Park! So as we were leaving I wanted to take a picture from outside and the staff lady in our picture on the far right got upset by this. She proceeded to run out the back door and yell at us in the parking lot and she yelled something to the effect of ,"you should not be taking pictures of our staff. " And then she yelled something like, "you're so rude! " I thought, "Are we back in high school?" What in the world is going on? Who behaves like that anyway? I cannot believe this staff behaved this way and I feel it is important to share our experience with you so you know before you spend hundreds of dollars at this pottery place how the staff behave and how it is managed. It is not professional and they were too busy talking amongst each other last night while we were painting rather than helping the customers they had. Really disappointed and I really hope we get our pieces back next week without any trouble. I'll keep you posted. And one last thing as we were paying at the counter there was a cockroach crawling around our pottery by the receipt book. read more

First time customers (And will be returning)! This is an amazing place! Went for a date night with my girlfriend and EVERYONE was friendly there. Even the customers next to us complimented our pottery painting and said hello when they walked by. Such great vibes! They had a huge collection too! We decided to paint mugs for each other. You'd expect painting wouldn't take so long but we were there for almost 2.5 hours! They had so many colors of paint, many stencils, and the whole place is decorated so beautifully with art! I loved the awesome throw-back music. The girl who's tall with glasses checked us out and was so nice! Love this place!! read more

Groupon got me in the door for my first visit. I will definitely return since I had so much fun. The price for a single ceramic item is certainly high ($20 for my little monkey, I believe) but you get a whole lot more than just a ceramic. Three hours flew by as I carefully searched my phone for design ideas, chose my tints from the wall and executed by plan of attack with brushes/sponges & double/triple layers. Between that, BSing with friends and watching the Park Ave. pedestrians/traffic pass by, my night was made. It was a throw back to High School when I crammed as many art related classes into my schedule as possible, except the technology has certainly improved since then. The color is a lot more precise. -- Take your time! It's a great place to gather for a date or with a group of friends. Plus you actually get a tangible gift at the end. We all know someone who just needs an extra piggy bank, no? We were told it's a wise idea to come early, as they don't place reservations and there is no predicting how busy it will get. On a Wednesday evening, we were basically alone but the clerk said the previous Wednesday night was at capacity. read more

Update; when we picked up our items, the staff members we talked to were genuinely impressed and with how our items came out. They don't give out bags because people have not paid enough attention in the past and dropped their ceramic items, breaking them. I brought my own bag and made sure to support the items within, not allowing the bag to do it alone. I can't wait to do this again! read more

This place is awesome despite the wait time. But the exceptional service made up for it all! A friend and I stopped by on a Friday night because I had a Groupon to redeem. Apparently we chose the wrong night because everyone had the same idea. It was so packed. There was a large group in front of us so we ended up putting our name on the wait list and strolling over to Park Avenue waiting for a call letting us know they had a table for us. After about an hour we headed back and thankfully the place had emptied out for the most part. The store manager, Cyn, was SO awesome and thankful to us for our patience even with the extraordinarily long wait and even rewarded our good attitudes with coupons for our next visit. It really pays to be nice! Rudeness and bad attitudes only get you so far. Anyways it was my first time here and my fellow Yelper, Pam H., showed me the ropes. You pick a piece to paint . There are so many choices- plates, platters, bowls, mugs, the list goes on. The cost is based on how much the piece is that you choose. I chose an owl shaped plate. All paints and the glazing are included in the cost. There is a wall with paints- you pick up a palette , use the sharpies provided to write the paint number on it so you know which paint is which. It's a very relaxing thing to do to get your creative juices flowing. They also invite you to bring in your own refreshments. So I brought in some bottles of ciders, cookies and veggies and dip. Well balanced snacking! :)) Once you are finished painting and your piece has dried, you take it up to the register to pay. They give you a ticket to present at pickup. It is about a week turnaround time. I would gladly recommend this place and hope to visit again soon. Just some tips for your visit: Visit on a weeknight to avoid crowds and wait lists. If you happen to get on a wait list, you cannot wait inside due to fire code. Parking is off street. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Make sure to get a punch card if you're a regular. Get on their mail list to be notified of their fun events! read more

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! Can you tell how much I enjoyed coming to this artsy venue. They have a great selection of pottery pieces to choose from, anywhere in the price range from 5.00 to 40.00. I went on a Saturday night around 7pm for a friend's birthday and this place was packed, I was surprised at all the people coming in and out, but I can definitely see why. This place is great for everyone you can bring a date, you can bring the kids. I am big on creating and crafty things so this place was the perfect haven to express my creativity. Included in the price by the way are the tools and you can choose as many paint colors as you want, and if you want to use stencils those are available as well. I decided to go with the cutest owl coffee mug and that particular piece was 20.00. Your creative piece is ready in a week for pick up. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I am definitely coming back to create more pieces. read more

This was our 2nd visit to this location, 1st was for a party where we sat in the party room. This visit we were in the main area & got to select our own pieces. After asking, we were given quick instruction on where stencils, stamps & paints were, then were set free. We enjoyed picking out our projects, paints & painting tools & got to work. It was a fun afternoon with friends, & we're looking forward to getting our masterpieces next week. A couple notable things about this visit... the employees were reasonably helpful, but could offer more ideas/advice when they have customers that are clearly new to the craft. Also, I personally am not bothered by a bit of sarcasm, but could see how anyone less tolerant of it would be rubbed the wrong way by these overly-comfortable employees. Also, $60 for 2 small pieces was not what I consider reasonable. We enjoyed our visit, but I'd love to find a promotion for future visits, otherwise it'll only be a "special occasion" kind of place. read more

Oh my goodness this place was a blast! We brought our two year old for some hands on fun, and of course we had to get in on the action as well. (I didn't take 4 years of art for nothin!) There were many adorable options to choose from, I loved the seasonal home decor... it's a nice memory to set out every year. The owners Erin and Steve (+their kids & crew) were so lovely!! Genuinely some of the kindest people we've ever met! Shout out to Leah for all your help too! This will be on our list of things to do when we visit the Orlando/Winter Park area as we are from Naples and they have a shipping option! Thanks for the memories, we loved it!!! read more

I checked out All Fired Up about a year ago. After checking out some of these Yelp reviews, I could swear the name "All Fired up" was describing their customers. When I went a year ago I got the little spiel and really didn't think to much of it. Fearing that they changed into some horrible pottery Nazi's I prepared for the worse. Walking in last night was about as peaceful and pleasant of an experience I have had in a while. Both the women manning the store were quite pleasant and conversational. If you don't pick up your pottery in a month, it will be thrown away, if you don't have control of your children, you are going to be asked to leave. At the end of the day, if you are a normal chill human being, you will enjoy this business. If you are are not a chill human being, maybe you should ask yourself why you are in a pottery studio to begin with. After reading some of these reviews I had to come to the defenses of this company. I think Yelp should maybe create a new site called Rant.com and transfer your memberships over. All fired up A-Okay. read more

I loved this place - I took my friend here for his birthday, he has never been to a place like this before, I have been to a few. And from my experience... this place has one of the best staff out there. They were super friendly and helpful. And they can get really busy. When we got there, all the tables were full, so we gave or name, and in like 20 min or so, she called and said our table was ready. There is no time frame that you have, so you can be there all day if you want to. I haven't picked up our finished product yet, but I have high hopes that they will turn out great after being burned. My only tip would be: New brushes. A lot of the brushes were kinda crappy compared to what I have used before in the past. read more

I LOVE this place. Prices are decent and it's always a fun time. I never have issues with staff, so don't bother listening to the review that talked badly of them. ONLY ISSUE: make sure you call ahead if you're going later in the day; I've driven out to Winter Park multiple times when google said they would be open but they actually aren't. For example, it says Friday's they're open til midnight but they actually close at 9:30pm. I just did this drive again & I live an hour away so I'm really upset - all I wanted to do was pick up my pottery because it's been a while. /: Otherwise AMAZING place. Great hangout on hot days, and for when you just don't know what else to do. read more

All Fired Up - Pre-glaze! A fun gift for family. - Art Galleries Near Me - Winter Park, Florida

A fun girls night or date night idea! They have a variety of pottery pieces to choose from. Expect to spend some time picking out what pottery you want and then how you'd like to design it and then what colors to use! Definitely a lot of planning needed before just jumping into painting, which for me, is the fun part! Staff are friendly and help explain everything. They also do various events throughout the month. I went on movie night and they were playing a movie and had popcorn available to munch on! Very cute idea! read more

I love this place! I had been wanting to try this for such a long time and had finally decided to make this a "girls night out" and I am so happy I did. There are so many cute and creative ideas on the wall that it made it difficult for me to pick a piece because I wanted to paint everything! Since I had broken my coffee mug earlier that week, I figured it was the universe telling me to pick the butterfly mug. My girlfriends and I all sat with our bottle of red wine(you can bring your own) and painted away... The time literally flew by! Everyone that worked there were very helpful and made sure we were well taken care of. When cashing out, there is a display of pieces that were left 30 days past from their pick up date all on sale for a $1 a piece. I ended buying the cutest little wine glass.:) So all in all, I love the concept, location, and the overall creativity of this place. I plan on coming back very soon! read more

I read that people had a bad customer service experiences previously and I brushed it off and scheduled a double date there. We had fun- however , yes, the customer service was horrible. They closed early for an unknown reason but the lady running the shop was glad to let her friends in. Also, they awkwardly turned off the music so we were all sitting there (8-12 people total in the space) awkwardly waiting for music. It was Saturday night and we wanted some background noise (this was around 8:30) so we turned some music on our phone (family friendly music) and the lady came over and actually paused our music and was very rude saying "no music is allowed" ... ok?... we just wrapped up our painting and left. The experience would have been much better if the staff was less rude. When I came back to pick my pieces up the same lady was there having a full buffet lunch on one of the tables with another person. I just found it unprofessional. read more

Online and on the door says they close at 10pm yet at 8:30pm I walked up and the "open" sign was off and it said they were not accepting anymore walk-ins for the day because it was too late. I understand maybe 30 minutes before closing to stop allowing walk-ins but an hour and a half??? Might as well make closing time 8:30pm and stop advertising that you are open until 10. Absolutely ridiculous. On top of that... when I walked up to the front door to try and go in, the staff member looked at us and LAUGHED! Incredibly unprofessional. All Fired Up seemed like a fun place to take children for an afternoon of creativity and painting. My sister and I took five children under 10 years old there today. From the introduction by Jackie, I could tell it would not be a good experience for our group. She was very curt and sharp cutting in her instructions to our group, and was not at all endearing to children on their first pottery visit. She continued her negative communication tone throughout our visit. During one stop at our table, she removed a bottle of paint from our table that one of the girls had brought to the table saying "I told you not to leave bottlesof paint at the table." This to a child! Even the employee checking us out was rude. My first and last visit to All Fired Up. read more

You will see most of my reviews are 4 and 5s. That makes this rating stand out even more. This is an expensive but nice place to do pottery. Great for kids. However my rating is strictly on the service provided. Too difficult to go into the encounter I had here with the manager when I brought my niece. The things that were said were a hughly gross over reaction to my irritation in being bombarded with their rules the sec you walk in. This was while carrying a lot of things in from out of the rain. Calling the statements made by the manager simply unprofessional would not even begin to convey how wrong they were. You can't even imagine anyone with one bit of sense could think it was right. These employees may be good at art but have absolutely no degree of understanding of even basic human courtesy much less customer service. They wouldn't last one minute working anywhere else with a number of customers in varying moods and situations. Now that I have sat here for an hour I can laugh because it was that unreal. There is always another business who knows customers are at the heart of ANY business so this place is no loss to me. read more

Came here with my daughters a few weeks ago as their Christmas gift to me. We were a little taken aback by the abrasiveness and lecturing tone of the employee (she seemed aggravated at something and gave her "rules" spiel like she used to work at the DMV). There was a place in Winter Park Village (now closed) where I used to take my girls often and they were SO helpful and made things fun, so we had fond memories. All Fired up had a very different vibe and much less selection of items to paint. . Oh well to each his own. My beef with the place was that I never received a call that our pieces were done. OK, my bad, But when I called to inquire today, the person that answered told me that everything is thrown away or donated after 30 days. We were at 36 days, so I was out of luck. She said there was no need to even check as things never stay beyond 30 days. Admittedly, it DOES say on the receipt you have 30 days to claim. And frankly, I forgot to mark my calendar. But a quick reminder call from the company could have turned this experience around and we probably would have not only picked up - but stayed and painted some more. It would have been good customer service and simple to do. As it stands now, I will NEVER come back, and will discourage anyone who asks. read more

I've been researching pottery places in the Orlando area as I'm planning a special gift for a friend. I happened to be in the area, so I went to All Fired Up. Although there were only two other people in the studio at the time (in the middle of the afternoon), the person working there didn't really seem to want to help me all that much. I asked her about serving platters, she motioned in their general direction, and told me to help myself. Although there wasn't anything rude about it, I didn't feel like she was as helpful as she could have been considering it was obvious I'd never been to a pottery store before. I have yet to pick up my finished piece, but I'm not sure I'd go back again. I might try a different studio instead. read more

I have been to All Fired up on several occasions. Lately, anything you try and ask for is returned with a response of, "no, can't, or we don't". We always call ahead, request for reservation. They always say they don't take reservation. Then when we show up ... low and behold "reserved" markers. They won't order a specific piece for you and can't let you know when the piece is available. The staff runs hot and cold on friendliness to down right rudeness. I used to enjoy coming here without a local 1/2 off coupon. Now, having one is the only way i will walk in the building. There are finally other businesses opening up as competition in the Greater Orlando area. Hopefully this will give them a reason to be more customer friendly. I hope to see them come back to being a more customer-centric company. read more

This was a good experience, I wanted to do something with my five year old and we enjoyed it. Peaceful and left to our own devices. Only thing was most pieces are a bit pricey. Paid 50$ for a six inch-ish whale and horse. It does include the firing and any paint combos you'd like though. read more

I had a nice time here today. I came in on a whim to paint a Father's Day present for my dad. I was put on the waiting list, but was called back within a few minutes because a table opened up. Since the shop is small, the manager will not allow people to wait inside the store due to fire codes. So basically, if you're on the waiting list, you have to go somewhere else for a little bit. I've painted pottery a million times in a million locations, but never in this one. I was trying to give the manager and other staff there the opportunity to go through the rules and tell me about the paints, etc, but that didn't seem to be happening. I didn't need it, but they seemed to be doing a spiel with everyone and I was giving them the respect to let them do the same for me. They were always busy with someone else. So I picked out my own piece and ended up getting my own paint, water, etc. If you've never painted pottery before, or you're with a ton of other people and need assistance, this could be really frustrating. I enjoyed my experience, but I did notice something that bothered me a bit. The manager has this way of talking to customers about other customers in a way that is supposed to be funny but to me seems unprofessional. She'll tell stories about people who wrote on the table in permanent marker, or say something sarcastic about her pregnant coworker who couldn't find something the manager asked her to look for. She constantly talked about former customers the entire time I was there, to a lot of other people. And then she'd say, "And this is why we can't have nice things!" and explain why they can't use some type of paint or whatever anymore because someone else messed it up. It's really not a good business tactic, if you ask me. I also thought the selection could have been better as far as the pieces you are able to work with. They have the standard cups, plates, bowls, etc, but other than that and different types of piggy banks and Christmas stuff, that's about it. I would probably come here again just because I enjoy painting pottery, but I'll be more likely to try another place first. read more

I am not an "arteest" but I had a lot of fun on date night with the girlfriend. Perfectly located on Fairbanks near Park Avenue, this is a great date night thing to do if you want to do something a little different and actually not terribly expensive. Figure out what it costs for dinner out, movie, popcorn soda etc., and I bet this comes in super close, if not less expensive. The place is clean and the staff couldn't be any nicer... I mean they were very encouraging to a guy doesn't have a single creative bone in my body. We sat there and painted our pieces with stencils, stamps, sponges, paints and all kinds of things for nearly 3 hours? We got there kinda early and it wasn't crowded, but by the time we left, it felt like the place was nearly full. Lot's of fun with a movie going on in the background and it's kid, food and beverage friendly. Next time we go, we'll definitely bring a bottle of wine and maybe some cheese and crackers... although I suspect the paint from my fingers might get all over the cheese and such, as I think I had more paint on my hands and their table then on my piece. So check it out... Something different to do and I'm sure we'll do it again... because its fun, they're nice and I got some quality time with my girlfriend. Someone said "A great artist can paint a great picture on a small canvas." I'm clearly not a great "arteest" P.S. Don't expect to walk away with your finished product the night ou go, it takes a week for them to fire it in the kiln, but then they'll hold it for a month before it makes it's way to the dumpster. P.S.S. My girlfriend is so excited to get her piece, I have a feeling we'll be waiting in line like one does for an iphone on the day her piece will be ready. read more

Great activity with a lot of choices! My girls and I loved this! We took our time and felt relaxed!

My daughter and I went here the other day for a Thanksgistmas emergency. We needed personalized and affordable christmas presents for grandparents and I stumbled upon this place on Yelp. I was kind of intimidated because I'm definitely not an artist but after getting there my fears were put to rest. They walked through the whole process with me and made me feel like Da Vinci. For a small fee they put a rush on my items so they can be ready for our trip next week. I will definitely be back! They also have a special where each piece after the first is $5 off. read more

I was not impressed. Way overpriced even if the purchase of the clay pieces with the urn fire were all inclusive. Very DIY with not much service aside from basic instruction and from paying at the end of the night. I found the staff very unprofessional as they were eating on their break beside me as my daughter and I painted. Worst of all they made it very clear that they would not call me when my piece was finished, unless it broke, and I'd just need to pick it up when it's ready. This is not a customer-centric attitude and I will not my waste my money here again. read more

This is the second or third time I have been here, and this was by far the worst experience. Their inventory was really low in terms of items to paint and the paint itself. Many colors (10+) were out altogether. Depending who you asked, the items were either on backorder (hard to believe) or the owner, who orders inventory, was out of town for 2 weeks and didn't realize how low they were (easier to believe, but still doesn't seem to be the whole story). The workers were polite, but generally inhelpful. Would have appreciated a small discount since they were out of so many paints and pottery. In any case, not the best experience. If I hadn't gone with a large group, I would have left. I won't be going back anytime soon (other than to pick up my generic cup, one of the few items they had plenty of). read more

Really liked the idea behind it all & so I took a few kids there to kill a rainy day. They had fun, and we were there for around an hour. My reason for only 3 Stars is that the ceramics are pretty expensive and not very diverse in choices. For sure not much for boys. Also, the staff on this day were having some type of squabble with each other in front of everyone. I am old school and have always found that to be poor show & a bad representation of the business. read more

Extremely disappointed with my experience here. Small and strangely diverse selection of pottery. Only one or two styles of mug that were a blank canvas but several garden gnomes. Their paint selection is limited, maybe 30/50 colors which sounds like a lot but really isn't. They offer no guided instruction for how to use the paints which I found disappointing considering they had two employees and only about 3 tables. Their brushes were simply awful, they didn't provide us water to clean our brushes with, no paper towels to dab brushes dry or to wipe our hands- we had to go to the bathroom and get our own paper towels. When I asked about water I was told I "didn't need it" that I could just "use a new brush for each color" which is extremely poor customer service- if I want water just give it to me. Could barely paint a straight line with the brushes provided, they also had stamps and stencils that were dirty- and with no water in sight I was unable to even consider those as an alternative to the brushes. They have a week turn around time and don't call you unless your pottery is done early, doesn't speak well for volume of business since a kiln only takes about 24 hours to fire and cool down from my past experiences. Will not ever be back. read more
