We reached out to Amelia only about 2 weeks after adopting Margot, and worked with her for about 10 sessions. Amelia's support was invaluable as we learned how to be responsible dog owners to an adult rescue. Originally we were just hoping for help with loose leash walking and general manners, but we ended up with so much more. Margot now knows a few fun tricks along with the basics (sit/down/stay/etc) and we've made so much progress on recall, general obedience, staying neutral around other dogs, and (most importantly for us and our anxious dog) confidence. Plus, we've built a wonderful training foundation and rewarding relationship with Margot that allows us to navigate things that we didn't even work on with Amelia! I genuinely can't imagine getting to this point only 6 months after adoption without Amelia's early help. I believe so much of successful dog training is in how much work you put in as the owner, but having an expert like Amelia to guide you is so so so helpful. Her positivity kept us from getting discouraged and she gently reminded us of skills or handling techniques we had forgotten when we struggled. We loved hearing the reasoning behind everything she suggested, and it's really clear she knows her stuff! We would highly recommend Amelia to any others who are (like we were) overwhelmed and need help learning how to communicate with your dog :)

Frida is now comfortable dealing with people and dogs even in busy places like Twin Peaks

Adopting an incredibly smart German Shepherd mix as a first-time dog owner probably wasn't the smartest move. Frida can be a bit anxious at times and had previously gone through punishment-based training. She did not listen when called, and would test my boundaries on walks by chewing the leash or even barking at me. Amelia quickly helped me communicate better with my dog and worked with Frida directly to show her what a calm, gentle walk looks like. She showed me how to bring Frida's focus back when she's distracted by another dog or triggered by a loud noise or other unexpected events. Frida now goes off-leash pretty much wherever allowed, and I use every opportunity to continue training her responsiveness when off-leash, especially in tricky situations. Amelia is always available via E-Mail and incredibly generous with her time. It's clear that she loves dogs deeply and genuinely cares for each of them. She even helped me find another sitter when her dog sitting calendar was already booked up and I had to hurry to find someone before my trip.

Having a dog in the city can be difficult at times, and our pup was having problems with leash reactivity which is not good when there are people and dogs constantly around. Then we met Amelia, and our world changed! She was very patient with us, listened to our concerns and really helped us to become better dog parents. We used to dread taking our on a walk, but with Amelia's help we are now able to walk him past other dogs and humans without him lunging and barking at them. I highly recommend All Ears, Amelia is very knowledgable and kind, not only was she able to help us with leash reactivity but she was able to help us understand Turk's behavior, which in return makes us better dog owners.

Amelia is an amazing trainer. She's kind, detail-oriented, intuitive, and an expert at what she does. We have a high-energy, rambunctious labradoodle, and she has given us many tools to help raise Ollie into the delightful dog he is today. Things we've worked on include calm on-leash behavior, appropriate play, being able to settle down in various environments, impulse control, noise desensitization, and general obedience. Amelia is extremely invested in what she does. She takes time to get to know the dog and how best to motivate them. She immediately grasps what Ollie needs, and has formed a very special bond with him. We think Ollie has a special smile that he only shows for Amelia (as pictured). Most importantly, we trust her completely. She genuinely cares about Ollie and her relationship with us, and it shows in everything she does. We're very lucky to have her in our lives.

So worth it! And fun! Amelia did multiple training sessions with me and my dog Ginsburg. When I adopted this 7 y.o. 60 lb. pit bull he didn't know a single command, he didn't know how to walk on a leash, was aggressive toward other dogs, and scared of a bunch of random things. Amelia was a huge help in teaching me how to better understand and communicate with my dog in order to achieve the best outcome. The sessions transformed my relationship with Ginsburg and I'm still amazed by his progress! I've had him for 8 months now and he knows at least 25 words, he will listen to verbal commands while off-leash at the dog park, and he is living peacefully with my housemate's tiny chihuahua. Amelia's specialized instruction was key to getting to this point.

Amelia has been such a miracle worker for us and for our pup, Rocco! Rocco is a pretty shy guy with stranger danger which made casual chats with people out of his inner circle pretty difficult. He started to bark at people once he was out of his fear period and it was hard for us to nail what exactly sets him off since it wasn't every stranger we encountered. Amelia helped to point us in the right direction with training and gave us important cues and tips on how to get Rocco more comfortable with people we encounter on our walks in varying proximities. Amelia is extremely professional, a great listener, and it's clear she's incredibly knowledgeable about dog behavior using positive reinforcement training. I learned so much from her and it's already reaping dividends through Rocco's improvement around strangers. Can't recommend her enough!

Amelia is our dog-whisperer! We are first-time dog parents and really didn't know what we were doing. We started working with Amelia when our pup was 4 months old, and did several sessions at our home and at nearby parks and trails. Amelia helped with recall, basic obedience, loose leash walking, impulse control and so much more. She also helped dog sit at our house when we had to be out of town for a few days. Overall, Amelia has been a really critical part of raising our pup into the loyal, delightful dog that she is! Thanks Amelia!!

Amelia has helped me so much with my super anxious rescue pup, Harriet. We've worked on dog reactivity, cat reactivity, loose-leash walking, recall, tricks, basic commands, separation anxiety, you name it we've covered it. Amelia is highly competent and intuitive, and has set Harriet on the path to being a well-trained, more confident dog. I would absolutely recommend Amelia to anyone experiencing issues with their pup, whether indoor or outdoor, as Amelia also works via Zoom. I hope to work with her again in the future.

All Ears was recommended to me by a co-worker and I am so glad I reached out to Amelia. My husband and I are first time dog owners and we were not sure how best to set our pup up for success. When we contacted Amelia, our dog was going through a phase where he was afraid of so many things outside. Amelia taught us how to help him overcome his fears. Over several sessions, she taught us and our pup so much. Not only did she teach our dog basic skills, she taught us how to keep teaching him in the future. He has learnt loose leash walking, fetch and commands like wait, stay, leave it. Amelia's guidance has helped make him a confident and well behaved pup. Amelia was also extremely understanding about scheduling (We were meeting in public parks due to the pandemic). She worked with us to choose meeting spots that worked for us since we live in Sunnyvale and she is in Oakland. I couldn't recommend All Ears enough.

Amelia has been awesome at helping us work with our dog on leash training (where other trainers haven't helped!).

When we picked him up around 5 p.m., he had a severe laceration on his lower eyelid and was visibly shaken. A young staff member admitted he was in another room at the time and that no one was supervising the dogs when the injury occurred--despite Grateful Dog's website explicitly promising "supervised play, indoor and outdoor." It was clear this employee was not trained to handle incidents of any kind. He also told us he had been instructed over the phone by his boss, Ernie, to clean the wound and apply ointment without notifying us. Ernie made a judgment call based on a dark photo instead of contacting us. As a result, our dog was left with an open, untreated wound for the rest of the day with no communication whatsoever. We took Indio straight to the emergency hospital, where he required full sedation and several hours of treatment. He remained there for nearly six hours. Both the ER team and our primary vet agreed that the lack of supervision, failure to notify us, and the attempt to treat a significant injury without consent were irresponsible. Indio is now on multiple medications, wearing a cone for weeks, and his emergency care totaled $1,295.26. When we later spoke with Ernie, his attitude was shockingly dismissive. His exact words were: "I've been doing this for 30 years -- didn't seem like a big deal." No responsible professional minimizes an injury requiring emergency sedation as "not a big deal." We then emailed a detailed summary with photos and documentation. After that, Grateful Dog completely ghosted us. No response, no acknowledgment, no concern. Accidents happen. But zero supervision, untrained staff, unauthorized medical treatment, a manager who downplays the injury, and complete silence afterward are not accidents -- they are serious failures in judgment and care. If you're considering this facility, ask very direct questions about who is actually supervising your dog and what their real protocols are. Our experience suggests there is a significant gap between what's advertised and what actually happens.

I paid $1,000 for a training package and was matched with a trainer named Rob in Portland, and the experience has been consistently unprofessional. He has not been on time to a single session and canceled roughly half of them with excuses that felt unreliable, including personal reasons (his wife had an appointment, he had a headache, ect) that should not interfere this frequently with a paid service. For the final session, he messaged me 10 minutes after it was supposed to start and blamed directions (this was the 2nd time he used that excuse), despite having been to my home multiple times in downtown Portland. At this point, it feels like a lack of respect for my time and a failure to deliver the service I paid for. I am requesting a refund for the final session and have not received a proper resolution yet. Until this is addressed, I cannot recommend this company. Edit: I was told that someone would call me back after their "meeting" yesterday. That never happened. This company had time to respond to reviews, but not to offer a resolution for me. The unprofessionalism starts at the top. I simply want a refund for the last session. I'm happy to do a full charge back if that does not happen, as they did not fulfill their full contracted obligations.

Now that we are home, I am incredibly pleased with the outcome. Milot's behavior has shifted significantly for the better. Anthony spent two hours with me during pickup to ensure I understood the commands and techniques he used, and by implementing those daily, I've seen a massive difference in our routine. While the 'behind-the-scenes' of intensive training can feel a bit like a black box for a first-time owner, the results speak for themselves. If you are looking for a program that delivers a noticeable transformation, it is well worth the investment. I'm very happy with Milot's progress! Other things to note - Anthony was very responsive. Sent videos of progress and video chats as well - clean/brushed/bathe at least once before pickup - flexible with drop off and pickup Happy with the result. Highly recommend.
