Without any local recommendations, we hired a local handyman to install 2 garage door openers; one that was broken and one that was in disrepair which also had a broken torsion spring. After 2 days, the handyman gave up and never returned. Immediately afterward, we received a local business directory in which All Day Garage Doors was advertised. I called them and Lou came over later that same day. He immediately diagnosed/repaired electrical problems, replaced the torsion spring as well as all of the garage door wheels in less than one hour. Lou was very knowledgeable and professional and took the time with us to make sure that everything worked to our satisfaction. We called them because the chain on the garage door snapped off. Lou, the technician, looked at the door and suggested a full garage door motor change because of the age. If I could give this company no stars, I would. Upon calling initially, I spoke with a gentlemen who told me the service call was $25.00. Wow, that's great I said, that's perfect, when you can get here? I made the appt., for Friday between 9 and noon. Ok, fine. I get a call at 8:45 telling me they can't get to the house until noon, so let's make it noon until 2 pm. Ok, it happens, change in time, delay at another job, etc. No problem at all. Service tech arrives, sees the wheel is out of the track. Ok, he says, I'll replace all the wheels for you. I ask why replace all the wheels? He said because you have to replace them all, not just one. I say I don't need it replaced, its fine, it just came out of the track so it needs to be put back in. (I myself cannot do this, bad shoulders/hands, thus the reason for a garage door company service) How much is it to put the wheel back in the track? $145.00.. WHAT??? just to put the wheel back in? Yes, that's the cost. Ok, how much is it the service call? That's $125.00. What?? I was told $25.00. No, its $125.00. Make a long story short, I called the main number, spoke with a service rep, female who told me the service call was $85.00 to cover the labor charge and the wheel repair was $60.00. The tech's prices differed from the office, they need to have a reference sheet handy..... I don't know about anyone else, but $145.00 to put a wheel back into the guide/track is a bit overpriced. I would not use this company again. Oh, and the tech got back into his Van and left, he didn't have the decency to wait for me to get off the phone with his customer service/office person. Ok. So here it goes: It was a rather nice day. I have 3 garage doors, all of which have the exact same opener. I called this business to have them come out and assess what it would take to fix, and also to fix my garage door. The person who answered the phone was the same person that came to my house. Up until this point I was happy that I did not need to leave a message, track someone down, and fight to have something fixed like every other business I have worked with. That is where the joy stops. The person, very likely the business owner, shows up, looks at the issue and says the problem is here(as he pointed). GREAT. We found the issue. He follows saying that he will see if he can get the parts, thinking out loud that they may be discontinued and that replacing the unit is the only thing that is possible. He may need to replace the unit itself leaving me with one wonky door opener, and 2 that are identical. The cost of this service was 39.00 for the assessment and if I did the work with him this would be refunded/deducted from the cost of the work to be performed. I agreed to this without issue, paid the 39.00 with my credit card(Definitely make sure you have a CITI card. They are the BEST! when you need them the most.) I said, fine, please do the research and let me know and he agrees to call me in a few days. He does do that, again not requiring me to chase any one down and baby sit. What are the ODDS OF THAT I thought? Freaking amazing! However the bad news was that this part was discontinued. Hey that is life right? So, wanting all 3 of them to be identical I tell the guy, no problem, they pop up on EBay about once a month, I will track the part down and get back to you. He agrees that this acceptable. I EBay it and find a guy that has a pristine one for an obscene amount of money. I message him and ask if he has one for sale for parts, which he does and sells me. It gets delivered and I call the guy back to come and fix it. The guy was slated to come out, and 2 hours after his window I called him to find out where he is. He had completely forgotten about/ mismanaged his call to my house or got a bigger job. I could here it in his voice. No big deal. He asked if he could reschedule and I said, "Yea, not a problem"(Direct quote). He gave me a new time. The new time comes and the guy shows up. I give him the parts unit and he looks at me with a blank stare before saying "I don't know how to take that apart. This is not worth my time. I thought you just had the part." How do you know how to put the part back together but not take it apart to get the part??????? Are you SERIOUS with that stupidity? He wanted to charge me 500 dollars for a new opener that he already knew I did not want! I politely said to him, "Money is not an issue. I want 3 identical garage door openers and I am 150 dollars deep on the two parts openers. I would like you to fix them so they are the same." He said he would take the part item and figure out how to take it apart and then snuck it back in my door as he left and I was not paying attention. I called and followed up since I was 40 bucks deep on my repair about when he can come and do the repair. At this point he again said it was not worth his time, EVEN THOUGH I SAID I WOULD PAY HIM FOR HIS TIME. Apparently his morals trump, work and money. I said OK. Fine. I will fix it myself or get someone else to fix it. Please refund me the 39.00 assessment fee. He refused to do that saying that it cost him time to come for the assessment. I told him, that the problem wasn't that you couldn't fix it. The problem was that you REFUSE to fix it. This guys moral judgement is not a factor in my decision on what I want as a customer. Period!!!!!!!!!!! Naturally this JERK OFF forced me to do a charge back with my beloved CITI card, which everyone should own, to right this wrong. He even dared me to do it saying I wouldn't win and every other thing you would get into a challenging belittling conversation with an 8 year old over. Naturally CITI sided with me, the customer. There is one moral to the story. Get a CITI card and stay away from these guys. read more

Prices were very very expensive. Was convinced to do work that probably didn't need to be done. My fault i was stupid and that stupidity cost me almost $500 for a simple repair. Would not recommend at all because they saw us coming. Charged me $175 for a spring, outrageous. Trying to do something nice a give a smaller business work, and they ripped me off. Again, lesson learned on trusting people to do what they came to do and not go fishing for things to make more money. read more

Had work done by this company about 18 months ago.... They replaced the door but not the track and put a new motor in to raise the door... Over priced, poor quality and I got tired of dealing with incompetence I ended up hiring another company to put a new motor in because they sold me out dated crap and did a horrible job.... read more

Unable to open my garage door due to the cable and spring snapping, I called several companies to try to get it repaired, No one was able to come out to me for at least another day, at the earliest. I called All Day and "Moe" promptly responded. He indicated he could get to me within an hour or so, between 2:30 and 3:00 pm. At 2:36, he was in my driveway, knew exactly what to do and completed the job within a half hour. VERY professional and seemed like a great guy, also! Well done, All Day Garage Doors!! read more
