Angie is fantastic with all things dogs! Initially Angie trained our newly rescued hound,…read moreSavannah. Savannah was a stray with absolutely no training or manners. The 4 week obedience training with Angie, Savannah was transformed into a calmer doggo, with great manners, and way more confidence in herself than when we first rescued her. We also just boarded Savannah and Poppy (our older golden retriever) with Angie for 5 days. The facilities were top notch (indoor heated/cooled kennels with anytime access to outdoor runs instead of crates) and the attention that Savannah and Poppy got was fantastic. The pictures provided to us while they were boarded showed how big smiles both dogs had. When we went to pick them up, you could tell the dogs were given lots of love and attention. Poppy is my velcro dog and she did not want to leave because of the amount of love she got while being boarded. Savannah also did made sure to give Angie lots of love before jumping into the car. During our trip we asked Angie if she would be able to give Savannah a spa day with a wash and pedicure, and Angie said no problem and got it done before we had picked Savannah up. Pretty Smart Pet Services has all of our training, boarding, and now grooming needs for Poppy and Savannah and any future doggos we decide to get. The drive from Va Beach to Franklin is well worth knowing that Poppy and Savannah get the best care possible.

Just wanted rave about Ange. She came to our house today to trim our dog's nails. In the past…read morewe've had to put our little Cujo (Scout) under anesthesia at the Vet's office to get his nails trimmed, which I absolutely hate doing. She was AMAZING at controlling him until he was calm and she was able to trim his nails. We can't wait to have Ange come back for in-home behavior training. Scout is a rescue dog, and a BITER. For the first time in the 2 years we've had him, I am seeing a brighter future for him being able to interact with people. No pressure Ange .... LOL

I do not recommend this organization based on my recent experience. On July 17, 2026, I brought my…read moredog Hux in for a scheduled evaluation--an appointment that had been set for over a month. I dropped him off at 8:15 AM and checked on him at 10:00 AM, only to learn he had not even been evaluated. Later, at around 1:00 PM, I received a call stating that he likely would not be seen at all due to the staff being too busy. This lack of respect for my time and my pet's well-being is unacceptable. While I understand that organizations can be busy, it is irresponsible to schedule appointments that cannot be honored. If you are unable to give new clients the proper attention, it would be more honest to stop accepting them rather than wasting our time and causing unnecessary stress. Overall, I was left deeply disappointed and cannot recommend this place to others.

Beware of facilities that won't let you take a look around or tour the facility. Hailey told me…read moretoday that I couldn't come for a visit because their insurance wouldn't allow for it. Then have new clients sign a waiver and let them look around. She suggested instead that I look at the pictures of their facility online. That never shows you if the facility is kept clean, organized, or if the pets are well-attended to. You know what does? A visit. What kind of responsible pet parent would just drop them off at place sight unseen? Ridiculous.
