Travis was extremely helpful, giving wonderful suggestions and pulling multiple jackets color swatches and pictures to aid in the decision making process. He went above and beyond! Needless to say, the guys are going back to see him to finalize and get suits ordered!

Some employees did what they could to at least partially right the situation. However, I would…read moresuggest EXTREME CAUTION to anyone considering purchasing a suit here. Specifically, my advice would be: A) Be sure your exact measurements are taken if ordering a custom-suit and that they don't just 'measure' you in comparison with existing jacket and pant fits. B) Be aware of and educated about suit-fit problems for when you try on and do not accept any suit that does not properly fit you! C) I'd recommend working with only the older gentleman who works here and seems to know what he's about. He helped us get our issue fixed and I have an inkling our problems wouldn't have happened in the first place had we left the store that first day and come back when he was there. Too bad he probably can't be there all the time. We had a good experience renting a tux here in the past, so when it was time to look for something for our wedding went to this store thinking we'd have a similarly positive experience. We decided to purchase a suit as something special for our wedding and for professional and dress events in the future. The sales rep suggested a custom suit where an off-the-rack would be 'free'. He spent a lot of time with my fella looking at the off-the-rack suits and picking out one that was eligible that he liked and had him trying on all sorts of options. He also was supposed to have taken measurements for the custom-suit, something I am not sure ever occurred (or at least not in the detail needed). The custom suit and off-the-rack suit came in weeks later and we went to try on. We realized the 'custom' jacket was made with comically wide shoulders that raised the entire jacket up and away when arms were slightly raised and which dimpled off to the sides. (Have you seen that suit jacket David Byrne wears in Stop Making Sense? Think a much-reduced version of it but in that vein.) I immediately told them I thought the jacket looked very wrong and the staff there questioned me, saying "all suits are like this" and "you'll never find a suit where you can perfectly raise your arms." When I did not relent, they told us when their tailor would be in and could look at the fit for a second opinion. We left, and panic about this large purchase began to set in. Research about jacket construction and fit issues indicated to me that the shoulders had been made too wide and the armholes placed too low - a common issue in off-the-rack suits but which should NOT be present in a custom-fitted jacket. The tailor took one look at the jacket and agreed that it did not fit. We again, refused to take the suit as-is but were told they would contact us about options. Later that week we got a call to come into the store again for measurements. Turns out, the original person who measured (who appeared to be supervised during this process by another manager) had not documented all the necessary measurements but had instead noted which off-the-rack jackets and pants fit ok and then used those specifications for the custom suit order. This still boggles my mind. However, trip #4 measurements were taken again and a new jacket ordered. Trip #5 and 6 came weeks later when the 'fixed' jacket arrived and pant hems could be done. This time the fit was better and, mostly so I could stop having stress dreams about it, we accepted the order along with the off-the-rack suit which suffers from the same shoulder + arm fit problems and was not made according to the back flap specifications we requested. We also found out during this time that the 'coupons' (2 for $25) we expected to possibly use for his shoes or shirt or a tie would not be be sent to us until the order they messed up was finalized.Just beware and do your research on fit problems before placing an order for or accepting a suit order here.

See my review of it. Mary Jane Ferris, wedding and event coodinator extrodinaire, sent me to Ferris Steakhouse for a venue. Then she connected me with Brenda, SociallyArtistic for all my flowers and decor. OMG Brenda is unbelievable! She worked with me and completely understood my personal, crazy situation of family etc. My daughter decided the colors for the wedding because she is a busy doctor and hates shopping. Brenda was so understanding and let me wait until my daughter told me the color of the dress she chose before we decided on our pallet. So cool. Socially Artistic delivered all the bouquets and boutonnieres to the church for the ceremony. She was there when we all arrived and pinned the flowers to the men and made sure all the ladies had their bouquets and corsages. It was a little hectic bug Brenda was like a rock in the torrent. I also got a wrist corsage for my mother-in-law. It was exquisite and perfect. My mother-in-law spent a lot of money on her gorgeous dress so I did not want to stick a pin in it. She loved her flowers. In fact, she has not had one word of criticism for the entire wedding and I've been her daughter-in-law for almost a week! I am just getting to the reception. Brenda and her team turned the party room at Ferris Steakhouse into a fairytale scene! Glorious hydrangeas an roses of every pink hue everywhere. And lovely candlelight at multple heights all around the room. There were candlelit flower garlands on the fireplace mantle and over the doorway to the party room. Every table was laden with small and large arrangements. Unbelievably charming!!! There was a topiary on the appetizer table that was magnificent. I told Brenda that I wanted twinkle lights and she delivered! Our reception was magical, thanks to Socially Artistic and Brenda's magic. Now I will tell you how easy Brenda made the whole thing. Really easy. Whether your wedding is in 2 months, or a year or more, call Brenda. You will be so happy you did.

The first time I spoke with her she invited me to meet with her in person and made me feel at ease to choose her as my coordinator. About a month before the wedding, we met again to go over all the final details. She was extremely helpful in polishing up the last minute details, such as how to add some time to the ceremony. Any uncertainty I had, she had a solution, and a good one! She was very responsive to me during those days leading up to the wedding. The wedding was so well put together the day of. She helped coordinate and communicated our bridal party schedules. She was calm and comforting during what could have been a stressful time. She set up all of my décor in a perfect way. Everything was just perfectly coordinated. I highly recommend Brenda for your wedding. Although we didn't hire her for her full planning package, I am certain she would do a fabulous job on that as well. Thanks again Brenda for everything you did to make sure our wedding was perfection!

The only thing being altered was the sleeves even though I inquired about it being taken in and hemmed. She pushed that I didn't need that. She told me to check on her in mid August, and that she should have it done by late August. I messaged early September, she hadn't worked on it at all. Told me it would be done the next week. I messaged her two weeks later again inquiring where my dress was and why we weren't doing multiple fittings. She couldn't get me in until October 5th. I found my dress had been butchered. One sleeve more than an inch shorter. She sent me home like that. They did not fit at all, and when I took it to another seamstress, the second seamstress found that Therese took many shortcuts, and did not alter the dress correctly. She basically just cut the sleeves off at the 3/4 seam, and sewed the rest of the fabric to it. Rather than making new sleeves that fit my arm. The appliqués were not removed at all, she just sewed right over them. She did quick dirty work. When I reached out to have it fixed I found that she did not accommodate my schedule to fix HER botched work. After the way she talked to me via text, I was not comfortable going to her again. She tried manipulating me into believing the dress was fine, even with pictures sent to her. She refused a refund, but allowed us to pick up scrap fabric from her PORCH. because she couldn't handle her issues face to face. I ended up having to get them completely redone with only a day to spare before the wedding. It caused severe emotional distress and took precious time away from my family due to needing my dress redone. Therese is not a seamstress, she does not know what she is doing. When my husband tried to correct the issue, she outright lied to him about dates and communications, to which I have picture evidence from texts.

But I felt that the way that…read moreTherese of Spiral Hill Alterations in Poland, Ohio treated me regarding my wedding gown alterations was simply unacceptable and I want to warn others of the bad service I received. My wedding was 9/23/23. I dropped off my gown on 7/1. Because the dress needed a lot done, she told me to contact her in a month to check up on the progress. I reached out on 7/29 and she claimed she was behind schedule because of David's Bridal closing and she had not started my dress yet. I had to reach out to her two more times until I was able to come in for a fitting on 8/24. This is where it starts to get bad. When I came to her shop, it was obvious she was overwhelmed with work, there were dresses strung all over the place. While happy with the newly built top, I could not walk in the dress. The underlayers had not been touched. The outer bottom layers were very jagged and the top felt like it was still big. I brought up these concerns, she claimed that the top would need to be loose to sit in. I felt like that wasn't right because the top didn't reach my hips, but I didn't press it. On 9/4, I had my last dress fitting. The bottom outer layers looked cleaner after bringing it up. I was able to walk in the dress, but it had not been fluffed and Therese did not go over each layer with me to show that they had been done like she promised she would do. I didn't know any better to look at each layer and fluff them out before I left. On 9/21, I took my dress to the venue and my coordinator helped me to fluff my dress. WE FOUND PINS STILL HOLDING THE BOTTOM LAYERS UP. The areas that were done were cut so jaggedly, that there were gouges taken out. It looked so sloppy. I was so distraught that my coordinator called Therese. Therese claimed she showed me each layer before I left. We pointed out to her that if she did, she would've seen her pins in the dress still. She pretty much told me I was SOL and to cut the other layers myself. I frantically called another seamstress close to my venue and she had me rush the dress over. On 9/22, I tried the dress on again after my new seamstress cleaned up the layers to find that after the dress relaxed outside of the bag, it was still 2.5 inches too long on me. I wasn't going to be able to walk down the aisle in it. So, close to $350 later, my dress was wearable, though the new seamstress said my top WAS a size too big. After confronting Therese about these issues, she accused me of losing weight in between the fittings. I hadn't. She refused any refund. While Therese didn't charge me to cut the underlayers, it was something she had promised and included in the receipt of services that were done. I cannot recommend her for your big day. Since David's Bridal closed, she took on more work than she could handle and my dress suffered for it. I can wholeheartedly recommend Alterations by the Clothing Surgeon in Lisbon, Ohio who finished my dress for me. This horrible situation left a very dark cloud on my wedding day that I have considered legal action, but I find that she isn't worth the effort and can only hope that the karma she gave me comes back to her. BRIDES PLEASE CHECK EVERY SINGLE LAYER OF YOUR DRESS, FLUFF IT OUT COMPLETELY BEFORE LEAVING THE APPOINTMENT, AND PRESS ANY ISSUE THAT YOU HAVE. YOU ARE PAYING THESE PEOPLE AND YOU DESERVE TO HAVE IT DONE RIGHT.
