    Fish and Chips

Food was good, enjoyed the fish and chips. Unfortunately, I wish there was more service. Had to go to the bar to get my own drinks and then ordered my food from a QR code. Not a big fan of that, wish there was more of a personal touch.

Chorizo & Halloumi Skewers with Sweet Potato Fries

I live around the corner and decided to give All Bar One a shot because it was getting late and I needed food. First thing, you need to actually download their app to order using the QR code which is honestly super annoying considering how terrible cell service is here. I had the sweet pork fries (£4.50) and the chorizo & halloumi skewers (£7.50) and one of their spritz cocktails (£10.50). The fries would have been decent if they weren't squished down into a small container by the very unnecessary ketchup. The skewers were exceptionally salty. The cocktail was nice & refreshing. All in I'll probably give it another try now that I have the app and it's right around the corner but not sure I'd recommend it to visitors.

We found this place based on being right at Tower Bridge and searching Yelp for a nearby pub. It's a big restaurant, and you get a nice view of the River Thames. The restrooms are clean, and the staff is nice, but slow. My husband ordered a series of appetizers, I got the Chicken and Avocado Salad, and my son got the Fish and Chips off the kids menu. Overall everything was okay - not bad, but not memorable. I'd look for other options if I am ever in the area again during a meal time.

Butternut squash burger with elderflower fizz 'mocktail'

I'm not a huge All Bar One fan. I think I spent too much time in one in particular when I first moved up to Manchester, so I've tarred them all with the same brush. My brother has recently moved to south London, and whilst Mum and I were staying with him recently, we went to Borough market. Afterwards we took a walk along the river and stopped off here once our stomachs recovered from the delights of Borough market. It's about 15-20 minute slow walk from London Bridge, and just a few minutes from Tower Bridge. In terms of the menu, set up and bar choice, this one is standard in terms of what you expect from All Bar One. I had the Butternut Squash and Sultana Burger which was tasty , although not the best butternut squash based burger i've had. My brother had the half roast chicken (nice, apparently) and my mum had the fish finger wrap (again, nice). Being on Dry January, I had a mocktail - the 'Elderflower Fizz' was very nice, although I couldn't help but torture myself by thinking how nice it would be with a bit of gin in it. A nice touch, which I don't recall from other ABO, is that with our hot drinks, we had smarties. The service was so-so - our first server was friendly and helpful but he was replaced part way through our visit with a very grumpy woman. I've given this a fairly mediocre write up, but the reason I've given this a 4* instead of 3* is, quite simply, the breathtaking view of London. We were lucky that it was a sunny day, but even from our inside seats, we had a great view. I could imagine on a hot summer's day the outside seating would be packed and rightly so. Sometimes, location can turn a mediocre chain bar into a great place for drinks, and this is the case here. Overall, I'd say if you are in this part of London and want to know what you are getting plus have a great view of the City and East London, then this is the place for you.

Incredible restaurant right along the River Thames with an unbelievable view of Tower Bridge. We sat on the patio for a cool night and the heaters at the tables had us comfortable throughout our dinner. Dinner was delicious and so were the drinks - all at a reasonable price. We would highly recommend this spot for those walking along the Thames looking for a quick bite or a drink!

Great views of tower bridge and really friendly staff. it does get a bit blowy in the wind outside but worth sitting out there for the view. They have O2 wifi for free as well so easy to get on and fast internet. I wasn't that keen on the halloumi wrap I had but it was more my choice rather than the food quality I think. Great place for a few beers in the sun!

Every time I have the £35 tasting menu, which is pure, adventurous, delight. The truly special thing about this restaurant (apart from the homegrown herbs, excellent service, and mellow ambiance) is that the menu changes every few weeks, leaping from one culinary wonder to the next. The tasting menu comprises 5 courses (sometimes with a couple more if the chef is feeling experimental). I have had the pleasure of enjoying: British fusion (including mushroom cerviche, a roasted garlic cream and basil soup, pork cheeks with peanut brittle, and a berry-creme filled choux pastry) Mediterranean (including roasted and pickled beet with a fluffy cloud of goats cheese, tender marinated pork belly, butter-soft scallops with pear, and a lime parfait with basil jelly) Chilean (including the most unbelievable slow-cooked beef lashed with salsa, perfectly bbq'd chicken with crushed corn, and my all-time-favourite dessert burnt marshmallow meringue with wine caramel, jelly and candied walnuts) It's exceptional value for a really filling, delectable, fun meal. If you don't live near East Dulwich, it's worth venturing SE to get some seriously good grub. The staff are friendly, chatty (but not obtrusive), and very knowledgeable. Oh, and the cocktails are excellent.

It's a bit off the beaten path, kinda like in Harlem+Brooklyn if it was in NYC. If in the states it would be highly sought after. I fell in love when i discovered their IG page. I expected it to be in some posh neighborhood and was pleasantly surprised when it wasn't and instead in a neighborhood with just a bit grit and cool vibe. It's small and quaint and the food is so delicious and service was very attentive and friendly. One must get the Comte Fried Potatoes. We didn't at first but we looked to our left, to our right, and table in front and everyone was ordering this dish so we did too and it didn't disappoint. It's served with a saffron aioli that is very savory. I loved this gem of place. I plan to come here every time I am near London.
