The owner operator is probably one of the rudest persons I have ever come across in a business. He seemed a bit brash and quirky on the phone and I dismissed it just thinking it was just the phone call and it would improve in person. I introduced myself on the phone he didn't bother to tell me his name. Instead busy gloating about how important he was and how experienced he was. I went down there and introduced myself in person he again didn't bother to introduce himself and walked right past me and out the door to look at the truck. The rest of the discussion was very confrontational and I am glad I didn't have to pay anything more than my wasted time. read more

We have been blessed with Dave from All Auto for many years. Dave is honest as they come, conscientious and always fixes our automobiles without any problems. His pricing is better than others and the quality work speaks for itself. read more

I can't believe this guy!? so rude. $2000 quote for an oil pan o-ring replacement on a Chevy. told me he had to pull motor. I said dealer quote is $600 , he replied "take it to the dealer" I asked why pull the whole motor and he said "how are you going to get to the pan?" I said pull the crossmember and drop the pan and was told to do it myself. very obviously a rip off spot. stay far away. (Also......$2000, I could get a rebuilt motor installed with warranty at a professional shop) read more

What a great experience! I needed some repairs to my fuel intake system that inhibited my smog certification and caused a steady check engine light. The owner David was very professional and extremely experienced. He quickly inspected my vehicle, addressed the problems and confidently said he would repair them. He was a man of his word and had my car fixed and passing the smog test in no time. He kept me in the loop the entire time and explained the process in a manner that I could understand. The costs were kept low and a nice surprise as I was told by another mechanics shop that they would be a lot higher. I really liked David and he will always be my go to guy for future car repairs. Honest, fair and competent. read more

I won't go anywhere else than All Auto Repair. David is honest, honest, honest...that's huge to me. He is super thorough, thoughtful and works his butt off to make sure every service he performs on my vehicles is done flawlessly. Can't beat the price for the amazing service he gives. From oil changes to major repairs, David has been my go to guy for many years. I have recommended All Auto Repair to many friends and family members and, without exception, every person has been grateful to have such great service at a competitive price completed by such a friendly guy. Thanks for all you do, David! read more

Very trustworthy and honest. It's not always the fastest service as I think it's a one man mechanic but he's been able to diagnose our car when two other shops were not. You know you're not going to overspend at the shop. He has worked on three different vehicles of ours read more

Love this place. Dave has been my mechanic for years now. So grateful to find someone you can trust to do good work. read more

We have been taking our vehicles to All Auto Repair for years now. We used to live in Cameron Park when Dave had his shop there, and we were so pleased and grateful to find an honest, skillful mechanic. We have continued to drive all the way from Cool to Dave's shops. He is thorough and gives great, sound advice. He is an honest and genuinely good person, who truly cares about his customers and his work. read more

David at All Auto Repair answered my call this morning and got me in right away. He is very nice and willing to help. His prices are fair. I have had a really good experience with him so far. UPDATE: I am in shock right now. David called me a couple hours after I dropped my car off (I didn't have to call him) and he told me that my power steering hose is cracked and needs to be replaced. The other shop I took my car to the week before said this, "it's making a lot of noise (power steering) that it shouldn't be, the whole thing probably needs to be replaced. We'll order the parts." I am in shock because of how quick and assertive he was with attending to my car. Dave also said that if he doesnt finish my car today, after he puts his kids to bed he will come back and finish working on my car. I really feel respected and like he values my time as well. The last time My car went into a shop to have my catalytic converter replaced, it was there for over a month. Dave didn't just keep my car there and get around to it whenever, he was prompt. I highly recommend him, i am very pleased with his service. read more

My car broke down on my way from Oakland and I was towed to All Auto. I was greeted with super friendly service and made to feel at ease--even though I was pretty sure my clutch was completely gone and I was in for a huge repair bill. For such a big job I expected it to take at least a week, but he had my car ready in just 2 business days and for a very reasonable price. I got my car back and could not believe how smoothly it shifted--I am VERY happy with his work and customer service. read more

I've had nothing but a great experience with Dave. He was recommended to me by several people who have also had a great experience with All Auto. Dave has always been prompt with fixes, is professional, and takes more time than would be expected by anyone to thoroughly explain the specifics of the issue, if it's worth fixing, etc. read more

Yelp won't let people anybody but two the bad reviews on... all auto is great. You can trust them... Yelp, I'm not so sure about because they don't seem to post any good rating about these guys... maybe cause they won't pay Yelp to advertise? read more

I've taken a bunch of cars to Dave over the years. Yes, it can be a little slow (I plan accordingly) HOWEVER have ALWAYS trusted and appreciated the work. Having lived in Shingle Springs for over 30 years AND with five children (now grown), I needed a great place to keep my cars going - I had trouble with others in Cameron Park - found Dave and All Auto back in his CP days and the rest is history. Even though we've moved to mid town Sacramento - I STILL take my cars to Dave. read more

I have had multiple vehicles worked on at all auto in the past. I was very unhappy with the service. One of my vehicles was there for over six weeks and they could never find out what the problem was. The owner is extremely rude and they charge WAY TO MUCH. Stay away. read more

We love All Auto Repair! As a young girl I always get nervous that mechanics will take advantage because I don't understand cars! But Dave and his partner are always amazing! They always explain to me exactly what is going on and also tell me about any future repairs that may need to happen down the line! read more

I have been taking my car to Dave for years. Absolutely the nicest and most honest mechanic I have ever known. He does good work at great prices and never recommends unnecessary jobs. We first found All Auto Repair when our kids were very young. Now, our kids take their cars to him as well. Very highly recommended. read more

Provided excellent service and a provided a detailed explanation as to what needed to be done to repair my vehicle. David kept in touch with me during the repairs and providing an estimated time the vehicle was needed to rebuilt my transmission along with reviewing and repairing an oil leak. This repair shop is the most honest I have been to. If they can not duplicate the problem they will tell you and not charge you for checking it out read more

Needed my oil changed on my truck and I drove by this place a couple days ago, so I decided to try it out. They checked all my fluids, and even topped off a few things that were low. Of course they did find some things that they recommended to be serviced, but at the time I didn't have the time or money. David was very professional, informed me of the things my car needed and wasn't pushy when I told him I couldn't do anything else today. He said he understand, and then proceeded to prioritize the list of things for me in order of importance, and even gave me quotes on some of the services I needed. The service was great and thorough, and I took off one star for having to wait a little bit (about 45 minutes). I will however, be back to take care of a couple things my truck needs in the near future. read more

We have been doing business with All Auto Repair since about 2013 and I havewitnessed the owner, David, to be outstanding at customer service and above all customer satisfaction. David services all three of our vehicles and always treats them as if they were his own. My son needed work done on his 93 Dodge Ram's transmission so he took it to David and was extremely pleased with the results. Most recently, I took my Excursion in for a pre-vacation trip inspection. I called David to have him include something on the work order and that's when he said he needed to call me back as he had some concerns. About 15 minutes later David called and explained that the transmission was not roadworthy and needed to be overhauled. Hearing this news gave me horrible flashbacks to another time and another vehicle needing a transmission where I chose one of the big boys whose name starts with an A and the horrible nightmare that that was. I gave David the go ahead and four days after they finished with our transmission we were towing a 35 foot travel trailer to Yellowstone. That transmission is working flawlessly. I am sure that anyone would agree that when they bring their car in for service they are always worried that they will be charged too much or that the mechanic will replace things that don't need to be replaced. I can say with the utmost of confidence that I drop my vehicles off with David and he will call and let me know exactly what needs to be done with no worry that there will be extras tacked on. Is All Auto cheap? No, they charge the "going rate" for their work like any reputable business. One thing is for sure though, David is a man of his word and will stand by his work. I recommend that you take your vehicle to David and experience what it's like to be worry free about how and what's being done to your car. read more

Spent around $1500 on repairs due to a leaking power steering pump. They replaced the pump, hoses, and some other stuff. Few months later my power steering completely went out and their warranty is only for two months. They have a sign on the wall that says quality costs money. Their so-called quality ends up costing even more, especially when coupled with a horrible warranty. read more

Do NOT use these people. Made an appointment 2 weeks ago. Brought the vehicle in at 9AM as instructed. They never did the work, all it needed was a smog check. This is Labor day weekend and my vehicle is there for 3 days now. We will never go back there read more

We needed a break a lamp inspection so we could request a salvage title. Everyone else in town had a several week wait. They were able to fit us in right away. I formed us we would need to secure the sidelight and replace the fog lights to pass. From what we have heard most other places would have charged the inspection fee and failed it. The tech pulled out the regulation book and went through it with us so we knew what we needed to do before we brought it back so it would pass and did not charge us. Were able to get a pass for both break and light on the first try and got our DMV paperwork done just in time. read more

Do not recommend using All Auto if you are a international trying to get a car inspected pre-purchase. David was not only extremely rude and arrogant on the phone but sent us on an absolute goose chase with taking payment. Instead of being honest about his in ability to process a payment, he made us fill in forms via emails back and forth. Not only did he was our time but also the seller of the vehicle. Thank you David for an utter waste of time and nasty experience. read more

I can't say enough good things about Dave and the crew at All Auto Repair. I recently noticed my truck overheating while driving past All Auto and pulled in to have Dave take a look. He advised that he was in the process of moving his business across the street to a new location but he would take a quick look under the hood. He diagnosed a radiator problem and advised he would work after hours to repair the truck. I offered to take it elsewhere but he insisted that he would take care of it for me. He even gave me a car to use while he worked on my truck! How many people would do this sort of thing while in the process of trying to move an entire shop full of tools and machinery and an office full of computers and paperwork? Amazing service! Dave really goes the extra mile to take care of his customers. Thank you Dave! read more

I took my car in twice for a failed ignition coil going bad. Initially, David - the owner was not able to isolate the faulty coil but when he was able to figure it out, my car worked just fine. A few weeks later another coil went bad and I was in an out in less than 1 1/2 hrs. Great price and less than the dealer on my 2007 Lexus. My car is back in order!!! He came highly recommended from a mutual friend. I would take my car the 30 miles for his help. Friendly, easy to talk to and not trying to over charge. read more

I will Never use All Auto for anything! Owner was very Rude and Arrogant! I took my vehicle to All Auto for a brake and lamp inspection. First time there and owner arrogantly told me "90% of vehicles will not pass this inspection". My vehicle failed as predicted by owner. I corrected items and called back for re-inspection, he denied my request saying "I was confrontational" due to my questions about why items failed and due to his arrogance I was not interested in seeing the reasons. read more

Brought my Jeep in to All Auto repair because it wouldn't pass smog. After incorrectly troubleshooting what was wrong with it costing me $500 unnecessary dollars the mechanic determines I need a new motor?! With 5 or 6000 dollars at stake I took it to Kelleys down the street for a second opinion, my instincts were telling me not to trust this guy, seemed aloof. Turns out it needed new catalytic converters, had Kelleys replace those, Jeep passed smog in a heartbeat and runs fantastic. It's sad that this place can be so off on dianosing a vehicle and still be in business. You get what you pay for here. Don't do it! read more

got a quote for an alignment and struts seemed high got another quote had it done for more than half they really over charge for parts and labor just didnt get a comfortable feeling about this place and i was right always go with your gut read more
