RUNAROUND AUTO 1 Star - Absolutely unacceptable and exploitative This has been one of the worst auto repair experiences my family has ever had. All Around Auto in Socorro sent my dad the WRONG transmission, and instead of taking responsibility for their mistake, they left us dealing with the consequences. Because of their error, my dad had to pay labor costs AGAIN to remove and reinstall the transmission. We were very clear with them that we are financially struggling and simply cannot afford repeated labor charges due to someone else's negligence and yet they pushed forward anyway. What makes this even worse is that it feels like we were given the runaround instead of a real solution. Mistakes happen, but what matters is how a business fixes them. In this case, it felt like "ring around the rosie", endless back-and-forth, no accountability, and zero concern for how badly this affected us. When a shop sends the wrong part, they should make it right, not financially punish the customer for their own mistake. This experience felt incredibly unfair and, frankly, like we were being taken advantage of because we had no other option. I would never recommend this place to anyone, especially if you're on a tight budget or expect honest, responsible service. Save yourself the stress, the money, and the frustration, go somewhere else. read more

Wilton did a great job quickly and correctly repairing my son's radiator problem which occurred as he was driving along I-25 on Christmas Eve. I have had my truck aligned there three times and every time I ended up taking it to another place to fix it. I had my cylinder heads replaced and the gas mileage dropped from 22 to 16 MPG. I called and asked about it and the guy said maybe it needed to break in. Now the cylinder head is leaking antifreeze..... Never again read more

If you happen to break down in Socorro New Mexico, please get to All Around Cars. Thank goodness for these people. I have never felt like anyone cared that much about my situation or the vehicle, but they did. They offered a comfortable place to sit, water, snacks and a shoulder to cry on. Although the vehicle could not be fixed in the time we needed, they offered to keep the car in storage....for free....until we could figure out what to do. read more

There were two of us caravanning ...two vintage trailers... on the way back to Tucson and our Chevy Avalanche developed a crack in the radiator. All Around, happened to be right around the corner. We unhitched in the Walmart parking lot, we grabbed a new radiator and he put it in in an hour. He saved our butts and dropped everything to make it happen for us. Needed a 4 wheel alignment while on a pleasure trip in New Mexico over the holidays. Called All Around Auto from the road and asked if they could fit me in. Wilton was SUPER accommodating and polite. He said they'd fit me in their schedule when I arrived. They have the latest and greatest 4 wheel laser alignment system and had us in and out in 35 minutes. Wilton is an old school, VERY knowledgeable and VERY capable mechanic. I HIGHLY recommend this repair center as they are ASC certified and are part of the NAPA repair network. This means if for some reason the part or labor is faulty, you can get it warranty repaired in your home town. Extremely nice people and VERY reasonable rates. read more

My son's car broke down in the middle of nowhere in New Mexico on Thursday. The clutch went out. He and his girlfriend were stranded by a desert highway for hours. He called me (in Virginia) to see what I could do to help. After numerous calls to businesses in what appeared to be the closest town, I managed to arrange a tow truck to go find them. I also called around town looking for a car repair place that could fix the car. Vanessa and Wilton at All Around Auto were willing not only to order the clutch kit and have it delivered to them the next day, but they were the only shop who would prioritize the job and get it done on Friday so that my son could be on his way. When the clutch repair was completed, Wilton also threw in an alignment that he did not charge me for. We greatly appreciate their effort in our behalf! read more

Not the cheapest mechanic in town, but probably the best and certainly the most honest. I take our gov't trucks there and have gotten nothing but top notch service. Last year I asked to have the brake pads replaced because they were squeaking, and he didn't do it, said they were just dusty, and didn't charge me a penny. I would not take my car anywhere else. read more
