I have been to some super shady places across this country at all hours of the night. Sometimes late at night there will be hardly anyone on the road, but almost without fail, there will be other customers at a gas station. Not here and this was in broad daylight. One Sunday around mid-day I found myself in Socorro and in need of fuel. For probably the last 15 minutes I had driven without seeing another soul. It was fairly odd. Then I saw this Chevron, pulled in, and began to fill up the giant tank on the Suburban. The entire time I was pumping 40 something gallons, not a single soul drove by, pulled in, walked out, or anything else. It was as if I was the last soul left on earth. It was incredibly weird. If a UFO would have landed and chunked up tha deuce I would not have been surprised. Getting gas was pretty smooth. I assume there was a worker inside, but I used the card reader at the pump. As I was pulling out I caught some movement out the corner of my eye. Was it a human? Nope. It was a road runner. No not the muscle car, and actual road runner. We don't have road runners in Louisiana so I was fascinated. What a strange review. Deserted places and road runners. Aww yeah.

She yelled in a D and kicked me and my friend out because I didn't buy it.... I said I understand and left as she was calling me bad names. She was mean to the family in front of me to.... there is no snacks, drinks, or food. Fuel is high as her weight so if you can avoid it I would. Apologies for the last remark but she really lost her mind on me and has no room to talk to people that way. Avoid at all cost.

We weren't greeted when we walked in, but a male employee smiled at as we exited. The lone women's restroom could use a deeper cleaning. The faucet was a bit awkward. Fuel prices: Diesel = $3.70 Unleaded = $2.76 Plus = $3.26 Premium = $3.56 Be careful - many transients were walking in the area. Until I could pay $ 13.00 each to fix them. I needed new tires the steelbelted truck kind. Before covid They were $155.00 ea now $200.00 . Plus He gave me a better price of $140.00 before covid after I paid a much higher price some where else. Someone there remembered me from a year ago and offered me a set of used tires for $200.00 installed . This took alot of stress off me until I can get new ones at the end of the year. They help the elderly people like myself with oil changes if you buy everything yourself. They charge $20.00 cash, no tax no reciet. no trouble., in and out 10 min. Every time i went to a jiffy lube to get a oil change I would come home with an oil leak that wasn't there when I brought my car in. When I mentioned it to them they were very rude and this is jiffy told me I had to go to the car wash and pressure wash off my engine , which the only possibly way it could leak oil is threw the bolt put in wrong. I went there for 10 years, No matter what car I brought in I left with a leak. They do it on purpose so you'll pay them to fix it. So you can imagine my surprise , I have no oil leak and because they've been always courteous and never gouge me and try to rip me off which most of the mechanics in the area do I recommend any elderly people, women especially they are very kind let them know if you're in a bad situation and could possibly get a little done at a time or however they decide to give you the best customer service you will ever have.
