I had called several of the slider companies in the Punta Gorda / Cape Coral area that heavily advertise and asked for quotes. The most advertised company gave a ridiculous bid claiming that all the sliders needed rebuilt and rollers changed. Again they never saw them and they asked no questions other than how many panels and this is our cost. I asked if when they came out they could reevaluate what was necessary and was told no, this is our price. I called All About Sliders and talked with Karen. She was very knowledgeable, asked a lot of questions and said that the estimate she gave was a worst case, but they would come out and evaluate what was needed and give me a price. Even their "worst case" was half of the heavily advertised company. When they arrived they evaluated the doors and gave me a price the was ALOT less than the other company. They said that the rollers were in good shape, and did not need replaced. The owner said that all the doors needed was cleaning and lubrication. We have 15 panels of sliders. They cleaned and lubricated all the doors and repaired a lock. They were fast and efficient and the doors work great. Really professional outfit, from their prompt courtesy while I placed my telephoned service order to their two man, house calling team. I needed a new track and rollers for my bumpy, 9-year old sliding glass door. Tom's crew came the same day as my call, arriving in a well marked van and bringing a squared away tool kit on wheels to do the repair. They were careful and clean and demonstrated the velvety smooth return that the new hardware gave to my sliding door. They also recommended a cleaning product, Greased Lightning, available at hardware & home stores. Terrific service and expert repairmen!!! I emailed over the weekend to get an estimate. I received an email reply stating they would call Monday to set up a time. They did and were able to come the next day. Tom and Jim called 20 mins prior to arrival to see if it was OK that they come an hour early! Of course. They gave me a very fair estimate and completed the job (2 large sliding doors and a kitchen window) before they were originally scheduled to arrive. I could not be happier. The job was done well but we forgot to give the servicemen a coupon. We called four times to see if all about sliders would still honor the coupon. I called to make an appointment, telling the phone operator I needed an estimate for weather stripping. I saw that service listed on their website. Waited 10 days for them to be on Marco. Had my morning appointment cancelled in the afternoon. Worker said he was on a big job. Inconvenient that I wasted a whole day waiting but OK, they must be good. Finally!!!!!! Someone who actually shows up on time, gives a fair estimate, does the work immediately and its fixed. Why is the so difficult but it is. I have tried for over a year to get someone to our condo in Marco to give me an idea of what type of slider glass we had in place, what can be done about worn out trim and fixing squeaks and broken handles. Tom and his stepson did just that. First Karen was so helpful and informative when setting up the apt. Tom actually arrived on time. He educated us on the doors and how they were made and should hold up in a storm and why they "behaved" the way they did in wind. He gave us a fair estimate, fixed everything in under 20 minutes and then charged us less because the handles worked great but needed some tightening instead of installing new ones. Had an absolute horrible experience with this company on December 1, 2014 Exactly one week prior, I had them in my home to repair the rollers on two doorways. 4 pannels. I have one more which I couldn't afford to do at the same time. I had also needed them to take 2 screen sliders which also needed new rollers. At the time they said they did not have enough room on the truck to take them that day and I was to call and make another appointment to have them picked up. They had told me it was no problem that they were in this very area all the time. That day I paid them $324.00 to do 4 pannels. After they left, I was stuck removing all the crap they had let fall into my pool, not to mention my lanai and the mess they left on the inside floors. I was happy to have had my doors repaired so I said nothing. I called after they left to make an appt for the following Monday to pick up the screens. Monday was my only day off. I scheduled it for 9a.m. after two calls to their company they showed up at 3! I had been forced to sit here and wait for 6 hours, after being promised first 9a.m, then 12a.m. then 2pm they finally showed up at 3, w/ no apology. First I showed them how the first set they had repaired a week before had come off the track. Even tho I had opened them very gently as had been instructed. With some effort on my part, I could have gotten them back on track myself, but as they were comming for the screens, I thought it imortant to report the problem I had already run into. The guy, not the owner, who I was told would be comming, picked it up and put it back on track took him less then a minute and he informed me there would be a $75.00 charge for that. Yup, I went out of my mind. He told me to calm down that he would call the owner, who then told me it would be free this time. Really? do you think I was going to let them take my screens now? While screaming, I kicked them out of my house while the guy was insisting he was going to have to write up a service charge as they had come to my house for nothing. I then called the woman who I had been dealing w/ she was very kind and understanding, couldn't believe this had happened to me and told me to call the owner. I did, left him a message AND HE NEVER EVEN BOTHERED TO CALL ME BACK! This is a family owned business and I could not believe the way I was treated.
