He took the time to ask me about my personal fitness goals and gave me a detailed road map of how I would accomplish them. During the personal training session, he had me do some exercises that I normally don't do, nonetheless, it gave me a good idea of some exercises to do to increase anaerobic activity, core strength, and stability. After the work out he took the time to get to know me and I was able to get to know him too. Overall, he was very friendly, personable, and I highly recommend his services to anyone interested in personal training. So far, I have greatly enjoyed my membership with LA fitness. I appreciate that they are open an hour later on the weekend compared to other gyms in town. Also, the kids club is a huge plus for me as a single Dad. Best gym in town hands down and the staff is amazing! I honestly do not understand why anyone would want to go anywhere else. I worked out at Planet Fitness for years and wish I would have made the change years ago! The gym at LA is very clean and they do a great job keeping the sanitizing stations locked and loaded. The amenities cannot be matched and the variety of equipment is excellent. Lastly, and most importantly, the ladies look much better over here. Two thumbs up and 5 stars from the Galenator!!!

Like a totally different experience than where I'm from in Hawaii. The front desk workers are always really nice, and take the time to answer any questions I have. The facilities are by and far clean enough, and overall it's been a super positive experience for me coming here.

Questionably unethical business practices at this specific Gold's Gym, BEWARE of hidden additional…read morefees that you may never be told about or shown when paying up front. This specific gym has, in my opinion, dishonest owners and workers. I signed up for a 1 month membership paid in full, which I was verbally told was going to be $50. To my knowledge I was never shown that it was going to cost any more than that, even when I was being rung up to pay. Later, I got an email notice that I was charged $100 because of an additional $50 "enhancement fee" that goes towards gym upkeep. I brought this up to see if it could be rectified and they did nothing about it. Just SLIMEY business practices here, they gave me the ick. My friend and her trainer have both signed up for one month at a different Gold's Gym and didn't get charged this extra fee, which is why they blindly trusted this one. Clearly I made a mistake to trust any gym to not straight up scam me out of money whenever the opportunity arises. Ick.

Until I had to leave due to a health issue, and couldn't work out anymore. This was very difficult as a lifelong fitness buff. I informed Hazel Dell Orange Theory that I'd need to cancel my membership starting in October, and they charged me $161 anyway, even though I would not be able to use the membership. The guy at the front desk was cold and matter-of-fact stating a policy instead of being gracious. I understand policies are important guidelines. But sometimes the human being involved is more important. Having to stop working out was hard enough - seeing a $161 charge when I told them I couldn't use it, was salt in the wound. If you're going to sign up at an Orange Theory, know that other locations will care more about you, and you can work out at any location. So sign up somewhere else instead of Hazel Dell.

CONSIDER CAREFULLY BEFORE JOINING! This rating does not…read morereflect my opinion of the workout or any of the locations I have been to. My 2 stars are a reflection of the corporate policies! Pros: The clubs are awesome! They are clean and play fun music that help energize you. The workout and instructors are great. They challenge you, but are not pushy. I am obsessed and love it. However...Cons: Just read my message that I sent to OTF and decide for yourself: The purpose of this message is to share with you why I will be considering cancelling my membership and doing everything I can to spread the word that people should reconsider before joining OTF. I joined your club in March and although I love the classes I find the corporate policies on cancellations to be unfair and unethical. I am specifically frustrated and disappointed in a practice that should be illegal and I cannot understand how your company believes it is okay. My issue is with your cancellation policy. Before I address the specific reason I am cancelling I have a few other issues I would like to share. First, more than 50% of the classes that I sign up for I am waitlisted. I realize some my disagree, but when you pay nearly $200 per month I believe you should be prioritized. This is extremely frustrating, but not even my main problem. Another issue is the fact that so many people are waitlisted. Members are charged $13 if they cancel after 8 hours before the class, but the waitlisted people are still back filled so the class is not impacted negatively. I don't believe that right. That still is not my main issue. My biggest problem with OTF is that if you are moved off the waitlist in as short of time as 2 minutes and then do not show or have to cancel...you are STILL CHARGED. This happened to me this morning. I checked 6 hours before the 5am class began (before going to bed) and I was still on the waitlist. When I woke up at 4:45am I checked my app and noticed that I was enrolled. I did not have enough time to make the class which I do not think is my fault. Waitlisted people not notified at least 8 hours before the class should not be charged. This is absolutely unethical! The club should be required to play by the same rules as the members. My suggestion would be to text the waitlisted members and they should have a certain amount of time to confirm the spot or the club should move to the next waitlisted person. I am not sure how OTF can justify the billing policy. Again, I believe that it is unfair and unethical. I will be contacting the BBB to report this as well. OTF is the most expensive membership that I have paid for and to have additional charges racked up because of not showing up to a class that I do not have time to prepare for because of lack to notice is unacceptable. I am disappointed, but my level for frustration at this point may lead me to cancelling and moving my business to another HITT gym.
