Terrible Place to Sell Books - Avoid!…read more If you're thinking about selling books to Half Price Books, DON'T waste your time! They offer insultingly low payouts, no matter the quality or value of your books. I recently brought in several thick, high-quality books and was given barely anything for them. The pricing process is completely opaque, with no explanation of how they determine value. To make things worse, customer service is awful. The employees seem uninterested and dismissive, acting as if they're doing you a favor by taking your books off your hands. There's no negotiation, no respect for sellers, and no reason to bring your books here unless you want to be ripped off. Save yourself the frustration--sell elsewhere or donate your books to people who will actually appreciate them!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with U-Haul in Morehead, Kentucky. (It's…read morethere at the Honey & Bee Connection!) From the moment I walked in, Paula went above and beyond to help during what was a very stressful time for my family. She took the time to help us select the right trailer size, ensure we had it for the time period we needed, and patiently answered every question that came up along the way. Her knowledge, professionalism, and attention to detail made the entire process seamless. What impressed me most was Paula's genuine care for people. She never made me feel rushed, and every concern was met with thoughtful guidance, patience, and a warm smile. She is the kind of person who takes an interest in others and looks for ways to help wherever she can. One of the many things I appreciated was learning about her support of local businesses and local artisans. We even had conversations about bees and arthritis, and she shared information about a locally made salve that has been incredibly helpful for me. It was clear that supporting her community is important to her, and that spirit carries over into how she treats her customers. Exceptional customer service has become increasingly rare, and Paula exemplifies what it should look like. Every question I had was answered, every concern was addressed, and I always felt like I mattered--not just as a customer, but as a person. Now that I am back home in Southern California, I still fondly remember Paula's kindness, generosity, and genuine concern during a difficult time for my family. She is not only an outstanding business professional but also a remarkable human being. I truly wish there were more people like her in the world. Thank you, Paula, for making a stressful situation so much easier and for leaving such a positive impression. Meeting you was one of the unexpected blessings of my time in Kentucky.
