We have a dead Tulip Poplar in our community that has needed to come down for a very long time…read more Since I would rather prevent a tragedy than respond to one, when the tree started leaning and posed an even greater threat, I decided to have it removed. I contacted three tree services and received three quotes. After obtaining the quotes, I was speaking with a friend about it. She mentioned Jose and Windrock Tree Services and how much she liked him and his work. She also advised that her HOA had hired Jose in the past, too and they were happy they did. After speaking with Brenda, I contacted Jose and within a short time, he came by to look at the tree. When I met Jose, he was kind and honest, and I immediately liked and hired him. I had to push the appointment a couple of times and am happy that happened because a tree in our own yard became damaged in this week's storms. During the storm, an over 20 foot Tulip Poplar suffered a broken branch in the middle top part of the tree. When the branch broke, it broke into a Y; a large part of the branch broke away from our home and the other part was hanging near our home, threatening it. I contacted Jose and he came over to help us as fast as time would allow. Not only did he remove the giant branch from the Tulip Poplar, but he also addressed the other tree. His work was excellent and the giant branch that was threatening our home, didn't come anywhere near our home when Jose removed it. I cannot say enough good things about Jose and his crew and the great work they did at our home; 5 stars really is inadequate to rate them and their job performance. Integrity, kindness and honesty are qualities I look for in people and also anyone I hire to work at our home. Jose possesses these qualities and as an added bonus he and his crew are skilled at removing trees. If you need someone to remove trees at your home or in your community and character and ability matter to you, too, you will be very happy that you hired Jose and Windrock Tree Services.

For the work done he is very fair with his pricing. We keep asking them to come back because they do such a great job and are very professional. They go above and beyond for their clients. They were safe and timely. This most recent instance a large oak tree had fallen from a storm overnight on the 31st of March early in the morning. I called Craig that afternoon and he gave me a bid and the work was done within two hours of his crew arriving. They went above and beyond what is the typical expectation of services these days. They cleaned up all the debris, filled in all the divots from where the tree fell, filled in the hole where the root ball was, leveled and compacted the area and reseeded it with grass seed. I will always recommend Craig Bjelland's tree service any time that someone needs tree work done. They work with small trees to large trees and around utility lines as safely as can be done. I can't give enough high praise for the work that he and his crew do. He can be reached at 865-482-2855

I had used Wolf Valley Landscape since May 2020. In the first year, they were extremely responsive,…read morereliable, helpful and affordable at $35 a pop to mow and weed eat. However, the last two years were not so good. Most specifically this year, summer 2023. They became so unreliable that essentially they only came every three weeks to mow my yard and only when I sent an email to Nicholas Geier, owner and operator of Wolf Valley. My yard would frequently look like the house was abandoned because there was such a long period of time between mowing. In the beginning billing was within two days after the service; at the end, it would take sometimes a week to 10 days before I would get the bill. As of last week I fired Wolf Valley and hired a new company to take care of my lawn. I sent Nick an email to inform him that I no longer required his service but I've yet to hear back with his desire to learn why he lost a customer. Overall, Wolf Valley Landscape is affordable, but ultimately unreliable.

I found Wolf Valley Landscape on Craigslist. We were looking for someone to redo the landscaping…read morearound our front porch and possibly mow our lawn during the spring and summer. I was impressed with them from my first interaction with Nick, the owner. I left a message and he returned my call within a few hours. He came out the next day and gave us a very reasonable estimate for both the landscaping and lawn mowing, which we accepted without hesitation. The day they came to redo our front planter beds, they arrived early and worked non-stop until it was complete. The work consisted of: removing the existing landscaping, adding new plants, removing several bushes from other areas of our yard, and relocating 2 crepe myrtles and 1 rhododendron. All of the new plants they brought were very healthy. They came well-equipped for the work they would be doing--they had a small tractor/back-hoe, chainsaw, etc. The planter beds were well-mulched and they seeded and put straw out in the areas where the bushes and crepe myrtles had been removed. Some of the plants we had requested weren't available when they did the initial work and we were only charged for what had been done at that point. We didn't pay for the remaining plants and labor until they were actually installed. Wolf Valley mows our lawn every 10-14 days. When they mow, they work quickly and efficiently. They are extremely thorough, too. We have a ditch along the front of our yard, beside the road our house faces. They weed eat the entire yard and even include the ditch! When they are finished they blow off the sidewalk, driveway and our back patio. All at a VERY reasonable price. Invoicing comes via email and you can pay from that email. We are just very impressed with all of the work they have done and continue to do for us and recommend them highly!
