We were really excited to try this place. It had great reviews on yelp, google, and the guest book in our rental home. I am not normally one to complain about food but we were let down. We split the meat lovers pizza and it was one of the worst pizzas I've had in a restaurant. There was tons of meet on the pizza which was great, but almost zero sauce and the crust tasted like it was from frozen. My boyfriend said all he could taste was salt. A friend that lives in the area recommended this place. As we were driving through, we figured we'd give it a shot. We were the first table to arrive as we had an early dinner tonight we sat on the porch and watched the servers clean up the area in preparation for open. They greeted us kindly and set us swiftly. Once the doors opened. We started with the fried ravioli that was crisp on the outside and succulent on the inside. Do not sleep on the oil and bread. It may be one of the best combinations that I've had in any Italian restaurant. We kept asking for more bread until the oil dip was gone! They did have Christmas cocktail selections and I ordered the cinnamon old-fashioned. It was a nice twist having a fresh stick of cinnamon that was smoked through. Added to my drink. They have a decent wine and spirit list, but offer no non-alcoholic beer options. We ordered the bread and olive oil for an appetizer. While extremely tasty, it is a bit strange for this to be a paid appetizer instead of a standard starter as is fairly common for Italian restaurants. Refills on the bread were offered by staff but declined by us. The Shrimp Scampi was tasty, but not stand out in any way. The pasta is most definitely not made in house, and the inclusion an entire half of a lemon in the center of the dish was an interesting choice. The cost of the dish is a tad pricey for not all fresh ingredients. The staff are the stand out highlight for this location. Very attentive and quick service with a smile. Drinks were refilled promptly, and food delivered without an extended wait time. Excellent customer service all around. The food itself is average with above average pricing ($100~ for a meal for 2). read more

Your entree includes, a house salad and side of sliced potatoes and onions, baked in garlic, herbs, and olive oil only! Anything else is $$$$. The host and bar staff were polite when I came in for my reservation, they sat our party right away . The ambiance was simple yet elegant esp the lighting. Everything was clean and homey. Not impressed. We pick up a pizza from this restaurant every time we visit FWB and have been very pleased in the past. This time, the pizza wasn't worth the $30. There was barely any sauce and it was almost like the toppings were thrown onto an old pepperoni pizza with minimal sauce. It wasn't even hot though I picked it up 15 mins after ordering. The onions and peppers were raw. The only reason I didn't give one star is because there were plenty of toppings even if they were cold. I will not likely be back for their pizza. read more

Walking up, it's a very cute restaurant. Going inside, there's instant confusion about where the hostess stand is because you walk into tables and a bar. Hostess came over to meet us and seated us immediately without reservations. Started it off with a cappuccino. I think it had like 4-6 espresso shots with maybe a tablespoon of milk, much too strong and bitter. Milk foam was wet and thin, not the best for a cappuccino. Cappuccinos should be 1/3 milk, 1/3 milk foam, and 1/3 espresso, so ratios were way off. For $8.50, I expected much better! Food came quickly, the bread and garlic oil starter was good, but you have to pay for this to be brought to the table rather than it being provided on the house like a typical Italian restaurant. I ordered the chicken parm for the main. Chicken parm was made with bagged, shredded mozzarella... instead of a fresh slice or two... plated on the plate rather than on top of the pasta, causing the breading to become immediately wet and soggy. Could not enjoy the crisp breading one expects. Sauce seemed house made, but the pasta was a cheap box brand texture and taste. For $29, again, I expected much better. Overall, the experience was much too expensive and left much to be desired. I even passed on dessert! read more
