My friend And I decided to check out the new nail Salon in Motzstrasse. As I'm trying to write whilst waiting for my toe nails to dry, all I can hear is oooo's and rrrrrrr's and wow's from my friend who was having her gels revamped. I have to say they do look rather fabulous! We are the Alina's first customers and happy we are too. The people are lovely. Oh wait I have to finish this later. Photos not uploading! Ok so at 47 this is my first manicure and pedicure! They offer UV gel and Shellac (not sure how to spell it will have to check and edit later lol.) too but I just had the normal as I intend to come back before my holidays for a more lasting solution :) They have a new opening offer of 20% discount till the end of the month (Aug) and on top of that I just discovered they have a bonus card. After 6 visits you get 50% off. Being a mani/pedi Virgin I'm not sure if that's the norm but for me it's a good find :) I'm giving them 5 stars for friendly service and everything was nicely executed. I am glad I had the pedicure, my feet feel like someone else's feet I can almost feel their happiness at being scrubbed, massaged and pampered. Whilst your feet soak the massage chair looks after the rest of your body. Hope this all makes sense hard to write whilst in situ. Will probably have to edit heavily later hahaaaa. Feeling very girly also extremely funny if you know me! ------ update post payment & closer inspection------ Ok one thing to look out for is that on the price list it gives you a price with 'Lack' that's just a clear polish if you want colour it's another €5 euros on top and I didn't get a hand massage as stated on the price list either so that was a wee blip in the experience. My friend however got a free glittery touch to her nails. I also forgot to mention its cash only and on closer inspection two of my nails were not 100% precise though my friends were absolutely perfect. She was happy with her toenails too though she thought the removal of dead skin could have been a bit better. Will give you names of nail technicians, I have them written down somewhere but currently not on hand. One had a slight edge over the other on technical ability. Based on update I have reduced it down to 4 stars. Having said that I would try it again, like I said likeable people, it was there first day and we were the first customers so let's see if they win the 5th star back on my next visit ;) I believe new flyers will be printed soon and hopefully they will reflect the correct price and service offered. read more

Do not go to this salon. Unless you are human being who does not care about the humane and respectful treatment of all people. I've never felt so embarrassed and hurt at a nail salon. Not only did this woman yell at me and threaten to call the police on me after not finishing or even half way completing my nails, but she physically attacked me in front if two customers. She literally TOUCHED ME. It took every bone in my body to not react. Basically I am a black woman who came here to get my nails done. When I sat down for the pedicure I noticed the water seemed a bit dirty. I wasn't sure if it was materials from the tub coming off or what. I remained optimistic and continued with the service despite my hesitation. The woman half did my pedicure and told me if I wanted my toes painted it would cost €30 rather than €20. A typical spa pedicure with color in berlin is about €15 to €20. During my gel manicure she complained about having to remove my current gel manicure, which is pretty customary. Since I don't speak german i just sat there while she went on. I signaled to her that I could let the gel soak so that the removal is easier so she poured the smallest amount of nail remover in a container and began to eat her food while I soaked. After starting the manicure, she stopped in the middle of applying the gel after two white female customers came in. One of the women translated for me and told me she didnt want to finish my nails. I was very confused because up until then everything had been fine. The women helping to translate for me (who I could tell was hesitant to translate everything the technician was actually saying about me) told me I should go without paying since she was forfeiting completing the service. The nail technician then had the nerve to tell me to come back tomorrow if I wanted my nails finished... I was not doing that, so I paid her €10 for her half service and for leaving the lumpy 1st coat of clear gel chemicals on my nails. As I got up to leave, the nail technician proceeded to block me from leaving the store by holding the door shut. After some back and forth, she then began to put her hands on me in a reprimanding way and asked the ladies to call the police on me. I let her know to go ahead and call the police cause I was infuriated by the fact that she touched me and I knew they might have to carry me out of there if she were to touch me again. Somehow I kept composure -- mainly because I knew there were two other women in there and I didnt want to give them any reason to tell the police I was the one acting out of line if there were to be a police situation. I cannot believe this happened and suggest that you think twice before stepping foot into this place. What hurt even more is that as this was all happening the other women sat there like bystanders and watched this disrespect go on. One even looked disgusted at me from the moment she walked in the door. God forbid she had to wait for a young black women to get service done before her... Racism does exist and it exists at Alina Nail Salon. read more

We were traveling and stopped in Berlin. My wife needed to get her nails done and we found this place on yelp. The young man whose name we never got, offered us Vietnamese coffee and even turned on the AC. He did an amazing job fixing my wife's nails.Trust me, she is so picky and she got out from there super happy! We totally recommend it! read more
