Really good Price for a very fine job. They use total…read moremainstream products but you can't expect OPI for a 12euro manucure and color. Friendly staff.

First salon I found in Kreuzberg so I popped in for a pedicure. Everything was pretty good, except…read morefor the most important part. The interior is so so whatever, but that's what you'd expect in one of the cheaper nail salons - it's fine; I'm used to it. Foot bath was nice - not attached to the chair, but a free standing bowl (which is fine). No massage chair (I don't think... pretty sure), though I never turn that on anyway, so I wasn't super looking for it. Great job on the cuticles, smoothing and "shaving" of the heels, and boy was I overdue. No massage; I was choked. But, maybe that's just a Berlin thing - who knows. I usually get them done in Vancouver where I live, and that's the standard there... something tells me in the more upscale places they'd do it here too (but in the crap cheap places in Vancouver, they'll even do it, and put lotion on your legs, which is nice). Now comes the funny part... ("funny") The selection of nail polish was shite. Cheap brand, and a small selection. I had to ask to look at the colours, and I felt like I was inconveniencing the girl. After about 10 minutes, she helped me on with my birkenstocks, only to mess up the big toes. It was too soon to put the shoes on, and she started yelling at me, (in German, btw, which I don't understand, and she knew)... it was actually almost funny. She just kept yelling. So I asked if I could stay longer and they said yes but they weren't happy about it... they wouldn't let me sit in the comfy pedicure chair, even though there was only one other person in the shop. I had to go sit in the front window in my bare feet. I tried to leave (take 2), and asked her if she wouldn't mind touching up my big toe... and she was PISSED. She started yelling again, (in German), (she's Vietnamese), (and don't get me wrong.... I get that I should speak German since I'm in Germany, but it was funny that she was yelling at me knowing I couldn't understand what she was saying). Anyway, she refused to fix my big toe and continued to yell, and so I had to leaved with a ****ed up job....22 euros later or whatever (maybe 30? I can't remember). So, that's kind of the point, right? To leave with nice toes? They looked pretty good, except for my big toe..... Kind of ruined the whole experience for me. Won't be going back!

Had a wonderful experience getting a pedicure today. Incredibly relaxing, clean and wonderful…read morestaff. I'm heading back tomorrow to get a body-scrub massage and spray tan, so I'll do a final update then. A few notes today: *The spa is located on the 6th floor of the Weinmeister Hotel (in the general area of U-bahn Weinmeisterstrasse, the M1 tram stop for Weinmeisterstrasse/Gipsstrasse when you go south and Hackescher Markt going north or Hackescher Markt S-bahn stop itself). When you enter the front door (with the "street art" on it), you have to have the staff let you into the elevator/lift area since you don't have a keycard. You just say that you have an appointment at the BeautySpa and hoped they could let you in to the elevator. I speak German, but the hotel staff speaks English very well. *Pedicure was excellent. You have your own private room and recline with cookies, tea, lemon water. Good quality color selection. Service was excellent. Cost was 55 Euro for pedicure and color. Most of their prices are online, though, so you can check those out. The woman I worked with spoke some English but we stuck to German since she feels more comfortable with that. She is Italian, so she speaks that as well. *They accept cash, Visa, Mastercard and EC-card (which is a German/European type of card). Overall, recommended.

Manicure by Valentina was outstanding. Unfortunately the pedicure by the other staff member was subpar, with aggressive and somewhat painful cuticle removal and truly bad paint job that I will have to have redone elsewhere. If you can get Valentina, I would recommend without hesitation, as the location, vibe, and service are all fantastic.
