I stopped in here late one night, looking for some food and excited (as always) to get a discount via yelp. The menu had a bit of everything, highlighting pizza of course. I ordered a chicken Caesar pita which was around ten bucks with fries and a drink. It was lovely - maybe a tad on the small side - but tasty. The standout performer here was the fries. Beautiful and crisp, I would go back just for those beauties. For the price, I was pleased. Not ecstatic, but enjoyed the flavours and was satisfied. If I'm looking for another late night snack, I'd definitely come back. read more

Tried this place again while on business in Slave Lake. Ordered almost he same as last time (medium pizza w/ 3 toppings and the wedge fries). This time pizza was ok but wedge fries were pretty greasy and not crisp like the last time. Still pretty good food though. read more

This is a tiny pizzeria with Big taste and an even bigger menu. There are only a handful of stools at a window bench, so most of the customers are obviously there for takeout, but however you do it, and whichever pizza you choose (Heavyweight to Hawaiian Supreme) you won't be disappointed. Two groups of us rode motorcycles from Edmonton and Grand Prairie in NOVEMBER just to have lunch there, and it was worth every mile. read more

History

Established in 2004.

Alimo's was born from a conceptual business plan done in college by co-owner Moe Mouallem. Although the doors to Alimo's opened in 2004, the fun started back in the mid 1970's with father, Abdul's first restaurant, Peter's Pizza/ AJA's restaurant in downtown Slave Lake. There are over 120 years of combined restaurant experience between Ali, Moe, Abdul and Chafica. The family lives by the motto, "if making pizzas is wrong baby... I don't wanna be right."
