"Hunty, want to go to dog park?" says my owner. I am super excited as we walk there or if I'm lucky, a car ride. My owner walks me in with the leash then wow, I get to run free as my owner follows. I find all kinds of dog friends here and if I'm lucky I can chase and play with the right dog for awhile. There is a pond here but sometimes it's just yucky and green. My owner usually talks to other dog owners and everyone seems nice. There is an open space to run and play and a water supply for water. I am amazed at all the mixed breeds and rescues just like me. Lola and I are big fans of Alimagnet Dog Park! Voted as one of the top dog parks in the country, Alimagnet is a 7-acre, fenced dog park with a lake right in the center of it. There is a small-fenced off area for the tiny dogs and a trail you can walk around the lake. Most of 'dog-centric activity' happens on the opposite side of the lake where there are benches and a few covered tables right by the sandy beach and wood-chip field. The covered tables even have heaters you can turn on in the winter and, in the summer, there is a hose you can use to clean off your pooch right outside the dogpark. The dog owners at this park are extremely responsible and knowledgeable about their dogs! This is one park you can take your dog and know the others will be very well-behaved. Finally, there is a walking trail on the opposite side of the dog park you can use to enter or exit from--and might be a good option for owners who want to give their dogs a bit of a workout prior to entering the park. I would highly recommend this park--and if your dog is a water-lover like mine is, they'll be completely wiped out the rest of the day!! Worth it! read more

Totally loved this dog park! It has a special fenced area for small dogs and a different area for bigger dogs. They have extra bags in case you forget yours and they have bowls of water for the dogs there as well. Clean and very lovely place for all types of dogs. read more

We were here for the first time today and it was so lovely! There is a small dog section with picnic tables and a gazebo for shade. The size of this area is decent. The rest of the park is a trail that loops around a pond. A couple trips back and forth for our little one tired him out especially under the hot sun. He caved when he saw another dog jump in the water and decided he had to cool off as well, haha. Luckily, there is a hose just across the dog park entrance by the baseball field. It says it's not intended for drinking but we used it to clean our dog off. I would give the park a full 5 stars if it had more than just one portapotty and if there was a dog drinking fountain somewhere in the park (some places have this and it's very nice!). There is a lot of green space around here and it's just a beautiful way to spend the day outdoors! read more

This is a great dog park. Plenty of parking. There's always plenty of bags and several spots where there is water. Good idea to bring a jug of water for your own dog. There is a hose to wash off your dog if they take a plunge into the green, algae filled water. The majority of people pick up after their dog but there's always some who don't. A smaller, fenced-in area for smaller dogs or puppies is near the front and a longer gravel pathway leading to another open area for dogs to run around. Lots of shaded areas and benches to sit. You can either turn around or go through the gate where the water is. This pathway will take you back to the opening. There is a pandemic going on and I was the only one who had a mask. People are sitting close together on the picnic tables and other areas. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR LUNCH OR ANY OTHER HUMAN FOOD INTO THIS AREA. Dogs are on the tables and it's hardly sanitary. Most importantly, the dogs are going to immediately go after your food. read more

Used to love this park, but the water is closed for e-coli every summer and the water isn't blocked off, so dogs still go in. I have run into several bad pet owners who don't control their aggressive pets or clean up after them so I stopped going altogether. It's worth the drive to go anywhere else! read more

I love this park because my dog has a lot of places to play and see other dogs but some of the people here are not the brightest stars in the galaxy. I had some guy with his dog named zara berate me because his dog Decided to bite my dog in the face because my dog accidentally ran into his dog. But instead of saying sorry or at least acknowledging that his dog had bit and had drawn blood to my dog and that he kicked my dog, he told me "he could tell I had a problem dog" because of how she looks. My dog is a Boxer Pitbull mix. An then had told me I needed to get a shock collar to control my dog and train her correctly. There's some good people here who don't look at her like she's the devil but there's also people who will look at "aggressive" breads like they don't belong. If you have an "aggressive" bread think twice about bringing them here, you might get berated and your dog might get hurt. read more

For a puppy, took him for a walk here. The big area had a lot of big dogs all over. Not unexpected. What was unexpected was the amount of poo around. I guess if you don't "see" your dog do it you don't have to worry. Brought my pup to the little area and he had a blast. Area is clean and the fencing is great. Love this place! Took my dog there a bunch. Would have taken him a lot more of he wasn't so afraid of the car. There is pretty much everything you need there. They have baggies for you even though I always brought my own. The only thing I was not a fan of was the long drive off the main road you have to make. read more

Trails can get muddy in early spring and after a rain. Trail signs need to be updated, not all are clearly marked. Since the dog park is also located here, many dog owners do not follow the leash rule on walking trails. read more

My dog love it here. Every time I say park they go crazy. When I go to take them outside to go potty they want to get in the car. Lots of room for them to play and swim and most of the time there are quite a few dogs there for them to play with. Watch out for poop. Unfortunately a lot of people fail to pick up their dogs doodie when they're running free. I love the concept of this park but it felt really dirty. The lake was not something I would let my dog swim in. Someone's dog jumped on my son a knocked him down in the poopy mud (not a huge deal, I know the dog was just excited, but it was not well trained). Some of the other dogs made me nervous too. It's a big circular path around a murky lake. I talked to my vet about it and she said that almost every dog she sees with distemper has recently been to that dog park. So make sure your pets are up to date on their vaccinations! read more

It's a nice park with plenty of space for your dog to roam. The biggest issue I encountered was dogs that were not appropriately trained. I know this is not the fault of the Dog Park itself, but it has deterred us from going there. My dog was attacked by another dog and the owner did nothing to try to help get her dog off of mine. Luckily, my dog was alright, but the incident left a sour taste in my mouth. The pond in the middle is repulsive, and the water dishes are disgusting and not cleaned. The trails outside of the fenced area are nice, but people typically do not leash their dog, which makes it difficult to protect your dog from others' dogs. People also do not pick up their dog's poop, which leads to an unpleasant experience, as expected. read more

I ve been frequenting this park all winter. Nice area, nice dogs, nice people. I don't think I'll come in the summer because the water is so disgusting. There are too many turds for me in this place, dog owners need to be more thoughtful. Like all dog parks (which I am not a big fan of) this place has some sketchy owners and dogs. I like walking here or jogging while my pet is off leash, but will switch to Lebanon hills and my cabin this summer. I recommend trying this park, but try others too. Lots of clean water in heated dishes, poop bags, and a small warming area make it better than most. read more

Have been coming to this park off and on since 2005. Love the swimming area in the middle of it and it's big enough so all 3 of my dogs can run around but not so big that I worry about loosing them. People are very friendly and so are their dogs! Only down fall is there are a lot of unneutered males that come there and my dog, who is a rescue does not like when the unneutered males try to mount him or show dominance. I will keep coming here but I just wish people would neuter their dogs or at least keep them off of my dog read more

I was at the dog park today with my dogs and my child, who i was holding his hand was rudely approached by a member of you board telling me this a dog park the play area is over there. She refused to give me her name but she was an older bigger gal with her husband a golden retriever that had a muzzle of and three small dogs. Her dog with the muzzle tried to attack me dog and then proceeded to tell me that my child was not welcome in the dog park. I then stated there is no rule against it and advised her about the aggression of her dog. She then continued to come at me and tell me that she can see why im a single mom, because i put her in her place. I then advised her that i wasnt a single mom and this woman on the board continuously came at me with rude and disrespectful accusations and words. This is a great park! The day we went must have been little dog day or something because all the dogs there were 20lbs or less which was amazing for my 10lb chihuahua! Took a nice walk around the trail a few times, and spent time in the little dog area. Owners were all really cool and my dog had the best time. Worth the drive! read more
