So, why do we 'have' to pay before receiving 10- 20 minutes of physiotherapy, which usually consists of being 'relieved' of pain with an electric pad? Because of Covid, there are almost no others in the waiting or any of the empty 5+ rooms. However, 'new' 'canadians' often 'ask' for payment before. yesterday, a 30 yr old male 'receptionist' immediately 'asked' for me to pay as soon as I set foot in the office, without 'noticing' or 'caring' that this senior citizen was out of breath from rushing 30 blocks for the 5th 'vi$it' in 2 weeks or 'caring' that I said I would pay after the session as usual. There are not even an paper cups or water coolers available either. After holding me 'hostage' with his repetitive "I don't know what to say", after he ignored my asking how long the office would be open (which he finally answered would be until 6:30 pm, 30 minutes after I would have been finished at 5:50, the Physiotherapist, who was the only other person there, 'asked' me to 'please' pay now". I left and later saw the masked physiotherapist walk passed me 10 blocks west of their office an hour later after I left and then fell off my bicycle. Thankfully a woman noticed and asked if I was ok. I thanked her and although I am in more pain today, I shall not return to that physiotherapist fir his 'help' again.

I have been to several chiropractors over three decades, and Dr. Alfredo stands out as the best of all of them! He is an excellent chiropractor with a high level of skill and professionalism, and he immediately understood my condition and the precise amount of adjusting force required to correct it. Other practitioners have tended to use too much force when adjusting my small frame the first time, often leaving me quite sore, but I am very happy with the treatments I have received from Dr. Alfredo, which we very comfortable and have completely alleviated my symptoms. One of the best things about this practice is the fact that they have the ability to do x-rays in the office, which is unusual in my experience, and greatly appreciated, because it saved me a trip to get the x-rays done at another facility. The only downside to the would be the cost of parking at the Bentall Centre, which can be a few dollars to over $15 depending on the length of the appointment. On my second visit, which was three months after the initial injury, he told me to start climb "harder routes" with wrist widget on because my wrist pain was mostly gone at that time. I did what I was told, and that resulted in a second injury even worse than the first time. The recovery has been awfully slow since then; it's been almost five months now, and I can't even pull more than 10 lbs without any trouble. I did see him one more time after that because I really didn't want to do another initial assessment with a new PT. He gave me 25 mins of forearm massage, and right before the session ended, he told me to made a wrist roller and hanged 5 lbs for training. Turn out that was too much for my wrist to handle and caused instant sharp pain. I informed him via email, and then he asked me to reduce the weight to 2 lbs. I really wish this sort of trial and error could be done during my visit, not at home.
