Tried to get an appointment today and then I was told that I would have to come in and bring $100 even though I have insurance with no co-pay. They said I should pay before they run my insurance. The two girls at the desk were very giggling I'm assuming because the way I look also one of the doctors came to desk and spoke with McKenna and was also entertaining the unprofessional girl child. I over heard them making fun of me. I'm assuming he was a chiropractor. There was a lot of whispering and giggling very unprofessional.Especially with McKenna. I thought this would be a safe place for me to come being that I'm vegan and thought that their supplements would fit my lifestyle. Unfortunately, the staff and personnel did not. What a terrible look for the face of this company!!! Then "Dr.Matt" had Autom call and tell me they would recommend another office I'm assuming because the childish girls working the desk giggling and gossiping behind the desk!!! When I began my visits to Ryan Berlin in 2015, I thought the pain in my neck and spine was just going to be a part of my life as I was growing older. With regular manipulation, the "reverse curve" that was causing this pain, was corrected within a year. To this day, I no longer have the chronic pain associated with that issue. I continue the therapy as a way of managing any arthritic pain or discomfort that comes my way. I also love his holistic approach, which fits my lifestyle. I can't imagine life without his therapy. I made an appointment online that was confirmed for the following day easy Peezy. I thought that was great until I actually stepped into the door of the facility. It sounded like a machine shop inside. Lots of banging noises and lots of activity going on. Actually it was more like chaos. Add to that two screaming infants under three months old and televisions. They wanted $200 upfront before I even saw the doctor. I obliged. Even though I had insurance that they verified they were providers for. I actually own my own business and deal with insurances all day long so I'm fairly confident of the process. I was brought back and talked to by I think a doctor but I'm not sure. They have their own x-ray room so they wanted to run x-rays right away. I've been to quite a few chiropractors in my lifetime and when I was in college I worked for a chiropractor and we never just did a routine x-rays. I understand that they can bring in some good money for a business but doing routine x-rays is not advisable nor necessary. When I offered to provide my x-rays from another office to bring in with me they were pretty persistent about me doing that within 24 hours. ASAP. They wanted me to reschedule and during my next appointment they were going to give me their "recommendations." Doctor recommendations. I called to cancel my appointment and ask them if they could verify my insurance benefits first. I normally have a very low co-pay (no more than $50.) I can't explain it, but I felt like I was in one of those appointments where they sit down with you and try to sell you shares in a vacation rental property program. They are trained to handle the no's they get and eventually you get escalated to the big guns. Ha ha ha. Well I just wasn't very impressed with the system. I didn't trust the system because of the sketchy way in which they seem to handle the client/patient relationship. A little training in customer service and in patient/patience ethics might go along way with this practice. Just a suggestion. Pushy doesn't fair well in the medical industry. I went in to Align yesterday to cash in my coupon deal. I paid $37 with my coupon and purchased my x-rays for $100 but not sure why they didn't give them to me that day. I knew what I was looking for...a dr who knows how to straighten the spine not just crack my back. They sounded like they know how to do just that. They had machines, exercises and nutrition not just an adjustment table. So I'm looking forward to seeing results. What made me uneasy is their sales process. They were not upfront about how much the appointments will cost me or in letting me know if my insurance will cover it. I come to find out through some probing questions that it will take 3 appointments not just 1 to find out fully what is wrong with me and how they propose to fix it. So I felt pressured to make a commitment financially without knowing how much it was going to cost me. They told me a typical cost is $100 for a visit so in actuality if my insurance don't cover it, I will have to commit to $237 to get my "consultation" not $37. I can overlook ALL of this uneasiness, IF they can "straighten" my spine not simply crack my back. I'm hopeful. read more

what's with the financial commitment speech and group classes, wanna sell me a timeshare while you're at it? I just want my back adjusted, hold the hard selling and pressure sales. I Had my back adjustment and it helped, I felt great all day and today so far, great skills and just what I was looking for physically, but why are you all hanging around me after the adjustment is done and talking me into coming to the next group class and each of you repeated the phrase that at the next session I will have to make a decision about a 'financial commitment." Creepy! Also, this place uses x-rays quite liberally. I say this because I love you and can tell you are warm hearted wonderful people, quite beautiful creations of God actually, and you clearly have some success and a thriving business, but I will not be back, red flags for cult group-think and using 'community' as a business model. Congrats, but it is not for me and heads up to anyone else who may be a bit naive, gullible and easily talked into things when you are there alone. Again, great adjustments, well done, it really almost makes it tempting to put up with the pressure sales pitches but I will be looking elsewhere for similar adjustments.
