I needed my slacks to be taken in due to weight loss. I needed a tailor. After researching, I found Alice. She had five stars and reviews were very favorable. I called a friend and asked if they new this business, and she said yes, Alice was amazing. So I took all 8 slacks over to Alice and she measured me in everyone of them. I traveled from NM for family pictures. I had a pair of jeans that I was planning to wear. They were hemmed by someone on NM and it wasn't until I arrived in St. George that I realized the left leg was hemmed shorter than the right leg and they we're all by church and hadn't been tapered when they had been fixed. After researching a few places I found Alice and gave her a call. I explained my situation and she told me to come on over and see what we could do. She was busy and had a load on her plate but she did a rush order for me, hemmed my jeans PERFECTLY and was beyond amazing! Love this woman! She is seriously so fantastic! If there is ANYTHING you need altered Alice is seriously your gal! No joke, she was a life saver and I'm partly tempted to travel to St. George Every time I need some alterations done just so I can have Alice do them! Alice is a wonderful and kind human being who cares how your clothes fit on you. My personal visit was for a new suit. Even if you're new to tailoring, you can still tell if she put effort into it - preservation of midline seams, belt loops, and cleanliness/density of seams, etc. are examples. She usually finished right on time or a day ahead of schedule, which is always nice. The store is a little hard to spot but is cute and she has it decorated with her own paintings. I always look for tailors that have artistic talents in more than just tailoring because this tells you she is meticulous with her hands. I chatted with her a little bit when I visited and it turns out she used to do suits for 15 years and even made a few for her husband... and it shows. Her work is great. read more
