Esther was able to get us a room upgrade and free breakfast at the Four Seasons in Maui and somehow negotiated a refund of a non-refundable rate at an airport hotel rate when Delta cancelled and moved our flight. This alone covered her planning cost a few times over, so it's like we got all her services for "free"! Overall, would highly recommend. I booked not 1, but 2 trips with Travendly at the beginning of the year before COVID took the world by storm. I was SO looking forward to my travels and meeting new people. Unfortunately, my first trip got cancelled due to the virus but I learned a few things about this company during these trying times, so I'd like to shine a spotlight on them. 1. Their itineraries are EXTREMELY organized, and all of the details of your trip are made available to you in an app. There's also a WhatsApp group where you can communicate with other solo travelers who will be joining you. 2. The coordinator was extremely helpful in consolidating all of my info - arrival and departure flights, travel insurance, other forms. I also found her to be very responsive to emails which was very reassuring. 3. You get to virtually "meet" the group you are traveling with beforehand so that when you do meet up, it's like seeing an old friend vs. meeting someone for the first time. Even though my trip was cancelled, I was able to make a friend to travel with in the future. A little silver lining to these uncertain times. 4. Travel credits with the company are valid for a long time and transferrable to any of their trips, so I don't feel like my $ is lost. I also don't feel locked in to 2020 which is still basically up in the air. So no, I have not yet traveled with the company just yet, but I will in the future, and I'd like to give them a solid shoutout for being awesome during this whole thing. My Morocco trip had 7 girls and I definitely see myself having long friendships with every one of them.
