This was a large restaurant with as big of an outdoor seating area as the inside. We sat by the window and placed our order almost immediately since we came just for their churros and chocolate. It was the perfect location to chill and people watch Our food was delivered in less than five minutes with churros piping hot like they were just removed from the fryer. Each piece was lighter than expected with an airier dough than others we've eaten but also not dipped in sugar. Of course we dunked them in the hot chocolate which was smooth and satisfying. Yum yum yum. I have been obsessed to try chocolate con churros since I learned that's a big thing in Spain. The hot chocolate here is literally melted chocolate. It's a bit on the sweet end for me, would prefer a darker chocolate, nonetheless still very rich and creamy. Order a serving of churros (one serving was enough for 2!) and dip away in the hot chocolate. The churros are not sweetened, so basically bits of fried dough. Service is quick, no frills as they are very busy. Seem like a very popular gathering place for the locals too. read more

The churros were super fresh & were different & more airy. They kind of remind me of the Chinese breakfast fried dough sticks ("chong you bing") -- slightly savory and served without sugar, so we dipped them into our cup of chocolate. The hot chocolate was rich, the kind you basically have to eat with a spoon. It was great to dip the churros into the chocolate. A perfect pairing I got the Cafe Bombon which seems like a Spanish specialty coffee -- it's basically hot coffee (espresso) with condensed milk. I had the most exquisite experience eating churros here with hot chocolate dip. This was by far the best churros I've ever had. The order came in a box and eating the churros with the chocolate dip seemed to be a regular past time at this Granada square. Continuing on the curros con chocolate reviews. This place had a ton of people around 5pm on a weekday so we had to check it out. Luckily for a table pretty quickly and EVERY table of course ordered the curros con chocolate. To keep this review short, this was just OK for us. The texture of the curros were ok but the chocolate lacked flavor and richness (though it looked like it was going to be delicious). Maybe we just got a bad batch. We didn't eat much of the chocolate, it was better just dipping the curros in sugar. We also ordered some cured ham on toast. I would pass on it. The meat was pretty dried out. I got a table and was able to enjoy a good version of Chocolate and Churros. This café offers a variety of items, but Chocolate and Churros is by far the popular item to order. The churros were crispy and tender and the chocolate was thick, rich and perfectly sweetened with a decent amount of cocoa flavor. The service was decent - you have to order quickly and the order arrives quickly. For a relatively low price, you get a big plate of churros and enough chocolate to keep you satisfied...one order was enough for two people. This place is conveniently located on one of the corners of the Bib-Rambla Plaza, very close to the Cathedral, approximately 20 meters from the statue in the middle of the square. Churros: excellent. Fried fresh to order, they are hot, greasy, and everything you want in a churro. Sugar available on request. They'll bring you a big old stack of them if you have multiple orders. Chocolate: okay. I've had better, but I've had many worse and this does the trick for good dipping. Service: Rude. Everything we asked for, even after they asked us what we wanted, was met with a scowl. Each waiter carried an air about them that made us feel like we were inconveniencing them for coming into their restaurant. I wouldn't come back if for this reason alone. There are so many places with similar names that offers churros con chocolate and our hostel guide told us that this is the best one in town. For breakfast we decided to eat churros dipped in chocolate. The chocolate is rich and aromatic. It's slightly more milky and less dark than the ones I had in Madrid. It really all depends on what one prefers but I personally like darker chocolate. The churros are more porous reminds me of the long thick fried Chinese donuts which literally translates as "oil stick". Nevertheless, they are still delicious. read more

Churros!!!! I never had a churro like this before, though I did have churros in Spain before (in Madrid) dipped in chocolate; this churro I had at Alhambra reminded me of a Chinese donut but thinner and dipped in chocolate. The chocolate is really thick and flavorful, and it's not too sweet. The churro is really oily though, but I guess that's just how it is because it is fried after all. It's €3.55 for a cup of chocolate and 5 churros (quite big pieces); definitely can share this between two people. Definitely worth a try! I've heard it's the best churro place in Granada. read more

Just a very average diner looking cafe with no particular character in an area that is quite mixed with tourists and locals. Almost everyone was having the churros that you dip in a cup of hot chocolate. I guess that's why you should come here. Because the pasta was something I could have tossed up together in 5 minutes myself. The vegetarian lasagna was served super hot and quite satisfying. I don't recommend this place. We went there around 10:30pm on a Thursday and specifically asked if they are still open -- which they replied to yes. Once we were seated in the covered outside area with menus, we were informed that the kitchen is closing in 15 minutes and rushed to make our order. In the middle of our dinner, one of the employees started raising the side cover of the outside area (that's in 7 degree Celsius evening weather) and I had to complain to keep the cover on. To top it off, they charge for the bread that is brought out at the beginning of the meal to all customers. If you complain about that, they'll tell you that the price of the bread is on the menu. The waiter was nice and very helpful, but the restaurant itself is not a place I would recommend to anyone. read more

This was our worst meal in Spain thus far! Do not eat here. We ordered fresh fruit for 5 Euros and it was canned fruit. Then it was bad probably frozen pizza,we had seafood paella no lobster and very little else other than rice and not tasty. Lastly tortellini Alfredo was inedible. I'm writing this review as I sit at the restaurant. My Paella was subpar at best, I ordered the mixed paella and got minimal amounts of meat included. The dish was supposed to include lobster which was never to be found. We ordered fruit with our meal and every piece appeared to come from a can. I dined with three other members of my family and they all shared similar feelings as me. My mom bit into a price of pasta that was still frozen. I studied abroad in Granada for a few months. While there, I tried several restaurants (and churros con chocolate!), but this place is by far the best. They give you big portions. Traditional Spanish churros aren't what some might consider a "churro" (coated in cinnamon sugar), but instead is more reminiscent of a donut or fried dough.
