Salesmen at multiple lots tried to sell me new cars, junk cars (windows broken out), coupes, sedans without A/C, etc. Art at American Auto Sales was the only one who listened. I looked at a couple cars on his lot, none felt *right*. Then, he told me he had the perfect car for me but it wasn't at the lot. We drove down to look at it. Lo and behold, it was perfect! A used sedan with A/C and super low miles. It was getting an alignment, so I got financed (ICCU per Art's suggestion) and went to pick up the car the next day. Art went above and beyond. He put new tires (with warranty) on it, had an alignment, and an oil change done. I was estatic! Fast forward 3 weeks, the car had an antifreeze leak. I went back for the last payment on my down payment and asked if he could find out where the leak was coming from so my husband could fix it. Not only did he find the leak, he had fixed it for free! Art provided the best service I could've hoped for at a car dealership. I am SO impressed. I will definitely go back there if I ever need another used car and I will tell everyone I know to go there first to buy a car.

For believing in another small business such as we are. We purchased a car 3 days ago. There was a "noise" but we've never had low profile tires. Chris reassured us the vehicles are gone over by their mechanic and are good to go. The noise was just not right. Today we checked the tires. There are cords showing, rubber flapping and wires sticking out on the inside of the sidewalls, stopped by today to talk to them about it. They apologized, and said it won't happen again. Well NO it won't happen again, we can't trust you to buy from you again! Jack stated he didn't have time to really look at this one, that he had checked to make sure the tires weren't lose. He heard the road noise as well. Hind sight is 20/20 as they say. We should have put 2 and 2 together when the first car we drove had serious rear suspension issues. I asked what they were going to do to make it right. There is nothing I can do is the response we received. I'm VERY sad, that is surely not how we run our business.

I start the car no check engine lights. Dude plugs a scanner into the car and all the sudden its throwing a code and has a check engine light. I had him clear the code and I restarted the car. No check engine light. Took it to the mechanic to have them hook it to a scanner and to the auto zone and neither on found a code!!!

Within three months of having the car, I had to get a new set of tires. Tires don't just wear down after 3000 miles of use. Within the last year, I've had to get a whole new set of brakes, rotors, calipers, a new battery, serpentine belt, idler pulley, and more. The routine maintenance that is expected at the mileage and age of the vehicle was not done before being sold, and it wasn't a cheap price either. I hope whoever thinks about buying a car from them brings someone who knows what they are looking at or you might have to spend upwards of 5k in repairs before the first year is over.

After having the van for a couple of days I noticed a big oil leak under the engine. When I called Luis went over the issue and asked me to bring the van in. He immediately knew the issue as this is a common problem in the Chrysler/Dodge minivans, the oil filter housing (plastic from the factory) cracked, they replaced it with the upgraded aluminum housing and should not have any more issues with this. Vehicle had been crashed with nasty sloppy repainted panels, front bumper clips broken and didn't even fit the front fender right as they were repainted by probably a 5yr old blind kid, plastic moldings no longer fit right due to accident repair and there was additional quarter panel repaint as well. Avoid this crap whole place.
