Next Level Concierge Care - Dr. Angela O'Neil

I met Dr. Angela O'Neill and Dr. Bob Sheeler (husband and wife concierge doctor practice) two years…read moreago when I was researching doctors for my elderly parents, who both have serious long-term health issues. Based on research I recommended them and my parents have been delighted. Within 6 months, my wife and I had also joined the practice and couldn't be happier. I appreciate the wholistic/holistic approach they both take. Between the two of them, and their extensive history at Mayo Clinic, they run the gamut of incredible specialities and knowledge. They also have the best personal/bedside manner I have ever experienced. The end result is that this service is quite literally life-changing. Speaking personally, just as one example, the treatments suggested for chronic migraines I was experiencing involved both nutritional supplements and mild prescription meds based on my specific symptoms, along with some hormonal balancing. The result is that, within 6 months, I went from having 4+ migraines per month to having 0 migraines over the course of 4 months. That's just one example. Another example is how quickly each Doctor can pick up the phone and call any number of incredible specialists to get their clients in for appointments that would otherwise often have months-long waiting lists. Third example --earlier this year, my wife ended up in the ER in Sedona after a scary incident with her eye. Turned out everything was okay, but while in with the doctor, she called Dr. O'Neill so Dr. O'Neill could chat with the ER doctor. Dr O'Neill picked up immediately and had a phone consult right there. And this was over a holiday weekend. Google/online reviews are a strange thing to write. One is usually either trying to get across just how extraordinary a service/location is, or trying to warn everybody off. In this case, I'm worried that it's coming across as hyperbole. But all I can say is that this medical practice is a wonderful game changer for my whole family and me. Thank you Next Level--and I look forward to many more years of health together!

Dr. O'Neill was a tremendous help to me when I fractured my wrist and had surgery. She got me…read morethrough it without pain or other symptoms using alternative remedies. She discovered a cardiac issue getting slightly worse before my cardiac doctor at Mayo! And then she referred me back to him for further testing. Blood tests are done regularly in the comfort of your own home. Most visits can be done virtually if that is preferred. She is extremely knowledgeable and caring and does not hesitate to refer me to my regular doctors if necessary. She spends as much time with me as I need and answers all my questions and really stays on top of any medical issues. I LOVE having a physician who is also an integrative doctor. Her staff returns calls promptly with any of my concerns.

I can safely say I have finally found a medical facility where I didnt feel like just a number…read more The Basics- Good- Clean Facility Wonderful Staff Modern Equipment Was seen by a real doctor (who graduated from Tufts and Yale, and has 35 years of experience). Accepts Medicare Bad- I cant think of any besides they dont have a website? Part of the charm perhaps. Works for old fogies like myself. The Story- I have issues, I know. I am a diabetic. I am on Insulin. I am overweight and I have high Blood Pressure. I came into the Desert Foothills Medical Center Urgent Care a few weeks ago. I was in a panic. I couldnt breath. I thought I was having a heart attack. It was 4pm in the afternoon, and I found Desert Foothills in the phone book (they dont have a webpage, if you can imagine). I was greated at the door by a well dressed lady with a calm demeanor. I came to find out that she was the owner's (Doctor Martin Chattman) wife Joann. Granted, you might at this point think this is an odd "mom and pop" style version of Medicine. But it's not. The urgent care was modern, immaculately kept. I was immediately ushered to a Cardiac Bed and hooked up to a heart monitor. Within 5 minutes, Doctor Chattman himself was seeing to me. He was calm, extremely knowledgeable. He determined that my heart had no problem. I was relieved. I wanted to leave. Dr. Chattman prompted me otherwise, and spent the time (Which i have never had a doctor do) to talk to me, and really understand what I was going through. I told him about my chest tightness, my dizziness and slight cough. He insisted I get a Chest X-ray, which they did in the back room. 30 minutes later, I got my results. Dr. Chattman took one look at my X-ray and diagnosed me with pnuemonia; A condition brought on by my weakened immune system. Something that had been missed by every other doctor I had seen simply because they considered my symptoms on the part of me being obese. (turned out later to be "walking pnuemonia" which is harder to diagnose). I cant go as far as to credit Dr. Chattman with saving my life. But I can surely attest to the fact that he has made it a lot better. I am on the mend, and I feel wonderful.

No one at this office told me at the time that they did not negotiate with my insurance when I made the appointment or when I was there; otherwise I would have gone elsewhere. Now, 1year and 9 months later I am dealing with a bill which is ridiculous. Today, I have spent hours on the phone with their billing department and my insurance company trying to figure out what is going on and why I suddenly owe this amount after almost 2 years have passed since I saw the doctor here. I am disputing the charges but I have no idea how it will all turn out. This is the first negative review I have ever written on Yelp but I want to warn others so they don't have to deal with the frustration this doctor office is causing me.
