Marie-Antoinette, accompagnée des jeunes dames de la cour de France, venait y danser sur des musiques de Rameau, alors maître des divertissements. Détruit sous la Révolution Française, il est reconstruit par un mécène, passionné de Wagner, qui réalise un superbe salon de musique en chêne sculpté style Renaissance flamande. It was once owned by Luc Besson, but he sold his stake in the theater to another group. That's fine, as long as they keep the theater running and awesome. When we were in Paris, the repertoire movie they were showing was by chance, one of my husband's favorites - Fight Club! The theater itself is almost like an art museum, with a cool little tree shaped bench that is attached to the celling in a mushroom style, right in the middle. The screens in the theaters are top notch, with clear imagery, amazing sound, and comfortable seating. They even have fancy snacks, like ice cream, high end chocolates, and even Starbucks coffee! If you're a movie lover and you're visiting Paris, you'll have a plethora of theaters to visit. But definitely make Pathé one of your options!

We attended Swan Lake in early June and the theater was boiling hot! Sitting in my seat, I thought I would pass out- seriously. Not exaggerating. Left totally soaked and gross- took 30 minutes to cool down outside at the trocadero. So for me, even with the STUNNING view of the Eiffel tower, it was kind of miserable. However! I did lose 2 pounds over night.

It was nice…read more Eventhough we came here on a closed event, there were a few numbers that they performed. They were sassy, funny and entertaining. I dont know if they have a dinner show often but in this case that's what we had. The catering company was diligent about appetizers and bread, however, dinner did take a bit too long to arrive. Also on the down side there was no option to purchase extra wine since only a bottle of red per table was provided. (6 people). It was a bit disappointing but maybe next year I will try a regular presentation.

We got inexpensive seats, which wound up being in a gorgeous loge on one side of the venue. They offered a stellar vantage point of all but a sliver of one side of the stage, but I could tell the people in the two neighboring loges that were closer to the stage were missing a LOT of the show. It's a little confusing to find your seats and the ushers who unlock the loge for you work exclusively for tips, which they tell you as they're seating you. Unfortunately, I was in the lavatory when my husband was seated and had all our cash on me and he felt really bad about not having any Euros to give to her. Our local theatres also use volunteers for ushers but tipping them is not at all customary (I'm pretty sure it's never done), so this was a learning experience for us. Pricing for drinks and treats in the lobby is very fair -- I think it was 5 euros for a glass of wine. It would be nice if they had more tables out there for guests enjoying libations at intermission.
