After some time away from therapy, I was dealing with some personal issues and sought out services again. My experience this time was completely different. The intake coordinator Carol seemed to be frustrated when I asked for an Asian female. I was matched with an Asian male. I was open and willing to give it a chance. She also misspelled my name over the phone and I corrected her. When I went in to set up my account, it was spelled wrong again. She also sent me an email with the therapist's name and his last name was spelled wrong. In the first minutes of my session with the new therapist Jonathan, he informed me he was an associate and then tried to explain to me what that was. To be clear, I work in the field and am an MSW. I understand licensing requirements. An Associate is not a licensed clinician, but someone working towards their license who has NOT completed all their 3000 supervised clinical hours or passed the CA licensing exam. Essentially they are interns being supervised towards their licensing. This is extremely frustrating as this was never disclosed to me. He seemed to put the responsibility on me stating I should have asked for someone licensed during the intake process. In all the years I have utilized therapy agency services, I have never once had to ask for someone licensed, it is expected. After spending 10 minutes of him asking what I wanted in a therapist, he indicated he would contact the intake coordinator and ended the session. At no point did he state I would be charged a cancelation fee. Fast forward, they weren't able to find me another therapist, fine, but then I was billed $50 instead of my $25 copay. When I tried to speak with billing, they refuse to actually speak to me on the phone and sent me a generic email stating I was charged $50 (the max allowed monthly on the card I was forced to put down in advance in order to attend a session) and I owed another $50 because I was charged a no show/cancellation fee of $100. Even though I provided a response explaining what had happened, I got crickets. These are shady practices. It seems this agency has expanded since I first used them and with expansion comes poor customer service and them utilizing therapists who are not licensed. If you decide to proceed with them, I would make sure whomever you are set up with has the proper credentials because they will not disclose this to you fully during intake and you will be the one having to pay the costs regardless

Proceeded to use a paddle SHOCK game on him off amazon for kids 14+ (mine was 9) and even called it "electroshock therapy." Every session she was making things up and flying by the seat of her pants. Told him to make up an awful name for his awful OCD and draw a picture of this disgusting monster (a part of himself!). Unprofessional, disorganized, negligent. Demanded payment before she would even send start paperwork. When I terminated she never even replied an apology or a recommendation for transfer of care. Probably because her actions were indefensible.

It can be difficult to get out of the house sometimes with a small baby but once I am there I am always thankful I made it! I have found so much support and comfort in this class and will always be grateful a good friend of mine recommended Soothe to me when my baby was almost 4 months old. One thing I truly love about this group is that family and friends are always welcome in this safe and loving space. It's so nice when both parents can come to sessions or when a grandparent joins the group for a day and shares their perspective. This is a place without judgment, where parents can feel safe to share their thoughts, worries, ask questions, and learn together. Every session has been lovely and has a different theme and new things to think about. Wesley is all about self care and is wonderful at helping you release the tension you may be feeling in this new and challenging world of parenting. I adore this class and the location is great. Easy parking on La Clede and lots of nice places to grab a bite with your new friends after class.

I found her after my ex partner and I broke up after 3 and a half years of being together. She allowed my ex partner to book a "double session" where I was not able to speak a word, and after, she made us come in for individual sessions that were held back to back. I really do not want to dive deep into the conclusions she made after meeting with us each twice, (once together and once alone), but her unprofessionalism and incompetence is sickening, to the point of it ultimately creating a dangerous situation for both of us. She gave power to an abuser. After the session where I was alone I never returned to her office because I felt that the situation with my ex partner was worsening, and I was unsafe. I don't think that this therapist is "all bad", nothing in life is. Though I have to say, I would not recommend her to anyone.

She's also a wonderful life coach. I give her a very sincere 5 stars. She helped me immensely and has been an inspiring person in my life. Hope she can help you too! :)
