Custom ordered a sweater for work and added embroidery. The price points were pretty good and the item didn't take forever to be done. I did love they have the option to do in store pick up which saves you on spending money on shipping. I went in store to pick up my item. The girls at the counter were very helpful. Very nice and was warmly greeted as well. My only mistake was I didn't look at my item before I left the store and unfortunately there was something not so cleanly in the pocket of my what was supposed to be brand new sweater. Now I know mistakes happen so I did call the store spoke with somebody in management and they said somebody would call me right back which they did. And I believe the manager at the warehouse called me a back apologized and took care of the situation, very quickly very rapidly and very professionally. Personally, I know things happen so I feel like the customer service to fix the issue to rectify this was top-tier and I was very appreciative of how fast they got me my new product. Being dragged here by my partner to grab some scrubs for work I was amazed at the large selection of both men and women uniforms along with shoes and accessories that every medical personnel would need. Though there were times they didn't have sizes for him he was able to find some of what he needed but comparing prices I can understand why larger corporation like Walmart are covering more sales in everything. They are experts in their field and have a price to match that makes me lean toward Walmart or online. They do honor and give discounts to medical staff just make sure you work for a common agency and bring your badge to eliminate any headache at check out. With a location in CT and the main branch in RI you can drive out here to get what you need or you can find what you want and purchase it cheaper elsewhere. read more

Patricia is extremely rude... the rest of the staff seems fine and pleasant. They don't call you when your order comes in, and if you call and Patricia answers, hang up. I ordered over $250 worth of scrubs May 11 2022 online for a family member. I had to cancel the order because after 5 days they never shipped. Today is Saturday May 21 and the authorization still has not dropped off my credit card. I called my CC company and they told me Alexanders never issued a cancellation as I requested. My CC company further informed me that Alexander's could easily get the authorization removed immediately by calling them, which I did, but after calling twice and speaking to two different CS reps neither would call my CC company and simply supply the necessary transaction code. I purchased uniforms online Ans they never arrived. Investigation went in fir 2 weeks and AU stated the post office delivered at a box for the property. This property has no box. We have visited the store many times, quite a bit in the last couple of months particularly, and found that although we didn't always find what we were looking for, the staff is extremely friendly, helpful, patient and understanding!! The search for nursing attire might be tedious but we have to complement associate Amanda in particular for really going the extra mile, always being refreshingly pleasant and full of helpful suggestions on every occasion!! I needed to order new uniforms for my new job and Pat was great! She helped with the special order and what I needed to get. Once my order came in she called to make sure the items were what I wanted before sending out for embroidering. Now that is great service. Also Barbara the store manager called and stated 2 of the colors I wanted no longer were available so she even helped me order the new colors that are coming in. I used to purchase my shoes at the very small Alexanders location that sold work uniforms as well, but this location serves solely as just a shoe/clog store! Which in my opinion is MARVELOUS because it allows them to have a much larger selection with a a larger variety of clogs/shoes: Dansko, Sanita (my favorites), as well as KLOGS, and nurse mates... there may be other brands but those are the ones I can remember. This location also allows for a large area to sit so you're not cramped for room, also ample room to try them on and take a walk around the store in them! The prices are going to be competitive as there isn't much give or take when it comes to prices for these types of shoes. However, the week I went (Thanksgiving) you could bring a canned good and receive 15% off which I appreciate and I also get to help give back to the community (kudos!) The staff here is very helpful and friendly. They are knowledgeable about the shoes they sell which I can appreciate because the first time I tried on a pair of Dansko's at a Nordstrom store I had no idea how they fit, and couldn't figure out why the same shoe in the same size fit differently. Alexander's staff will be able to tell you if what you are wearing fits appropriately. Anyone who has ever worn a comfy pair of Dansko's will know what I'm talking about! Also, I heard that they have clog parties in the evening with chocolates, wine, etc. and in the morning they offer parties with pastry type goodies. You get to have a private in-store party with your friends and I assume you must receive some sort of discount! Great way for coworkers to get together, have some fun, shop, and mabye save some $$! read more

I have always gone here for my scrubs but after todays visit I will no longer shop at Alexander's. I had ordered some scrub pants for school and they ended up being too small for me. I went to exchange them for a bigger size and Joan the owner came running out of the back room saying No no no that isnt store policy as shes pointing to this sign thats behind the desk that I cant even see. I guess you cant return special ordered items. However, on my receipt it says nothing about that. Joan was extremely rude to me and getting in my face saying that I should go and sell them to somebody else. I couldnt believe the way this woman was treating her customers. She even went as far as to call the Norwich CT store to tell them that I am coming and to NOT do the exchange. Long story short I made some phone calls and it turns out that it was Joans fault and they are mailing me a check for 60 dollars. I am very thankful for that but I will NEVER shop there again in my life. read more

Worst customer service I have ever encountered. Tried to return a never worn scrub top and the rude cashier could not find the attached tag and said it could not be returned. I finally left and was driving away when my daughter discovered the tag attached INSIDE the top. I turned around and brought the top back in and was told that the tag had not been there 5 minutes ago. SO I HAVE A TAG ATTACHER IN MY CAR???? what???? The rude cashier called over an even ruder co-worker and they realized my receipt was 1 day over the refund policy, so they could only give me a store credit! NO exceptions, no courtesy, no friendliness ----they are the rudest group of sales people I have ever seen. I encourage every person I work with not to shop there. Was forced to use this shop due to our company going to uniform colors. Went to the fit fair and tried on tops. Found 4 for my voucher and went on my way. When they were delivered they were way too small. I have two of the same shirts at my house that are the same brand, color, style number and size as the ones I ordered. The ones I have at home fit perfectly. Tried to exchange them and was told I am not allowed to and will have to pay out of pocket. I am not the only one in my department with this issue. What a great way for this company to make a massive profit on already marked up scrubs. Since this is the required company for our hospital they'll be able to resell/exchange with other employees, but refuse even when the issue is on their end. read more

have always gone here in the past and generally spend about $200 each trip. after today i will not return. first of all they have barely any scrub bottoms any more. they used to have a large selection along the side wall but now they are scattered all over and there are very few size 2x in the store. even though i clearly looked like i could have used some help finding what i was looking for, not one of the four employees asked if they could help me. was in line waiting to check out and the employees wouldn't stop their personal conversation the entire time i was checking out. then i mentioned that i used to have a discount when i came there. they looked up the doctor i work for and couldn't find her. they explained that they phased out a lot of doctor practices with their new system and the woman waiting on me went into the back to get her supervisor. the supervisor comes out and asks who i work for and said she had to make sure i still work there. i explained that i'm the office manager and yes i do still work there (really??) and gave the contact information and what not and she looked in my bag to see if i made a purchase and then said 'well let me do some research. today we won't apply a discount but ask for me next time and tell your other employees to come buy stuff here and maybe we can give you a discount next time.' i told her to forget it if i wasn't even going to get a discount this time. it was such an awkward encounter and i still can't understand why i no longer get the small discount i always used to get in the past. she was super rude, even the woman ringing me out stopped her conversation with other employees to say 'oh sorry i thought it was going to be the nice supervisor.' EW is all i have to say after today. i will not return. and i will certainly not tell my employees to shop there. read more
